⁹ By this God's love was revealed in us, that God has sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him.

⁷ I will tell of the decree. The LORD said to me, "You are my son. Today I have become your father.

⁶ He had one left, a beloved son, he sent him last to them, saying, 'They will respect my son.'

¹⁸ "The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, recovering of sight to the blind, to deliver those who are crushed,

¹⁴ And the Word became flesh and lived among us, and we saw his glory, such glory as of the one and only of the Father, full of grace and truth. ¹⁵ John testified about him and shouted out, saying, "This was the one of whom I said, 'He who comes after me has surpassed me, for he was before me.'" ¹⁶ For of his fullness we all received, and grace upon grace. ¹⁷ For the Law was given through Moses, grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. ¹⁸ No one has seen God at any time. The only Son, who is at the Father's side, has made him known.

¹⁶ For God loved the world in this way: He gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him would not perish, but have everlasting life.

¹⁸ The one who believes in him is not judged, but the one who does not believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.

²³ that all may honor the Son, even as they honor the Father. Whoever does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent him.

²⁹ Jesus answered them, "This is the work of God, that you believe in him whom he has sent."

⁵¹ I am the living bread which came down out of heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever; and the bread which I will give for the life of the world is my flesh."

⁵⁷ As the living Father sent me, and I live because of the Father; so he who feeds on me, he will also live because of me.

¹⁰ The thief only comes to steal, kill, and destroy. I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly.

²⁸ I give everlasting life to them. They will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand. ²⁹ My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all. No one is able to snatch them out of the Father's hand. ³⁰ I and the Father are one."

²⁵ Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will still live, even if he dies. ²⁶ And whoever lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this?"

⁶ Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

⁸ But God commends his own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. ⁹ Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we will be saved from God's wrath through him. ¹⁰ For if, while we were enemies, we were reconciled to God through the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we will be saved by his life.

³² He who did not spare his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how would he not also with him freely give us all things?

³ For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. ⁴ When Christ, your life, is revealed, then you will also be revealed with him in glory.

⁵ For to which of the angels did he say at any time, "You are my Son. Today I have become your Father"? And again, "I will be his Father, and he will be my Son"?

¹⁶ By this we know love, because he laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for the brothers.

¹⁰ In this is love, not that we have loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son as the atoning sacrifice for our sins.

¹⁶ We know and have believed the love which God has for us. God is love, and he who remains in love remains in God, and God remains in him.

¹¹ The testimony is this, that God gave to us everlasting life, and this life is in his Son.
