⁵³ For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.

⁷ to those who by perseverance in good works seek glory and honor and immortality -- everlasting life.

¹² The night is far gone, and the day is near. Let us therefore throw off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light. ¹³ Let us walk decently, as in the daytime; not in carousing and drunkenness, not in sexual immorality and lustful acts, and not in dissension and jealousy. ¹⁴ But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, for its lusts.

² For truly in this we groan, longing to be clothed with our habitation which is from heaven, ³ since, after we have put it on, we will not be found naked. ⁴ For indeed we who are in this tent do groan, being burdened; not that we desire to be unclothed, but that we desire to be clothed, that what is mortal may be swallowed up by life.

²⁷ For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ.
