¹⁹ And his mother and his brothers came to him, and they could not speak with him, because of the multitude.

⁴⁶ And while he was discoursing to the multitudes, his mother and his brothers came and stood with out, and sought to speak with him. ⁴⁷ And a person said to him: Lo, thy mother and thy brothers stand without, and seek to speak with thee. ⁴⁸ But he replied, and said to him that informed him: Who is my mother? and who are my brothers? ⁴⁹ And he stretched forth his hand towards his disciples, and said: Behold my mother, and behold my brothers! ⁵⁰ For every one that doeth the good pleasure of my Father who is in heaven, that person is my brother, and my sister, and my mother.

²¹ And his kinsmen heard, and went out to take him; for they said: He is out of his reason.

³¹ And his mother and his brothers came, and, standing without, sent to call him to them. ³² And the multitude were sitting around him, and they said to him: Lo, thy mother and thy brothers, without, call for thee. ³³ He replied, and said to them: Who is my mother? and who are my brothers? ³⁴ And he looked upon those who sat by him, and said: Behold my mother! and, behold my brothers! ³⁵ For whoever shall do the pleasure of God, he is my brother, and my sister, and my mother.
