⁵ The Aungell aunswered, and sayde vnto me: These are the .iiij. wyndes of the heauen, whiche be come forthe to stand before the ruler of al the earth.

¹¹ And he sayde: come out and stande before the Lorde. And beholde, the lorde went by and a myghty stronge wynde that rent the mountaynes, and brake the rockes before him. But the Lorde was not in the wynde. And after the wynde came an earthquake. But the lorde was not in the earthquake.

¹⁹ And Micheah saide: heare therfore the worde of the Lorde. I sawe the Lorde sytte on hys seate and al the company of heauen standinge aboute him, on his right hand and on his left.

¹⁸ And he answered: therfore heare ye the worde of the Lorde. I sawe the Lorde sit vpon this seat, and all the company of heauen stanstynge on his ryght hand & on his lefte. ¹⁹ And the Lorde sayd: who shal deceyue Ahab king of Israel, that he maye go & be ouerthrowen at Ramoth in Galaad. And whyle one sayd thus, & another that,

⁶ Now vpon a tyme, when the seruauntes of God came & stode before the Lord, Sathan came also amonge them.

¹ It happened also vpon a tyme, that when the seruauntes of God came & stode before the Lorde, Sathan came amonge them, and stode before hym. ² And the Lorde sayde vnto Sathan: From whence commest thou? Sathan answered & sayde: I haue gone aboute the lande, & walked thorow it.

¹⁷ The charettes of God are many .M. tymes thousande, the Lorde is among them in the holy Sinai.

³ Thou voltest it aboue with waters, thou makest the cloudes thy charet, & goest vpon the wynges of the wynde. ⁴ Thou makest thyne aungels sprites, and thy ministers flammes of fyre.

⁸ Fyre and hayle, snow and vapors, wynde and storme, fulfillynge his worde.

⁵ For he that made the, shalbe thy Lorde & husband (whose name is the Lorde of hostes) & thyne auenger shalbe euen the holy one of Israel, the Lorde of the whole worlde.

⁵ and as it were the lycknesse of foure beastes, which were fashyoned lyke a man: sauyng, ⁶ that euery one had foure faces and foure wynges. ⁷ Their legges were streyght, but their fete were lyke bullackes fete, and they glystered, as it had bene fayre scoured metall. ⁸ Vnder their wynges vpon all the foure corners they had mens handes. Their faces and their wynges were towarde the foure corners: ⁹ yet were the wynges so, that one euer touched another. When they wente, they turned them not aboute: but echone went streyght forwarde. ¹⁰ Vpon the ryght syde of these foure, their faces were lyke the face of a man, and the face of a Lyon: But vpon the left syde, they had the face of an oxe, and the face of an Aegle. ¹¹ Their faces also and their wynges were spred out aboue: so that two winges of one touched euer two wynges of of another, and wyth the other they couered their body. ¹² Euery one when it wente, it wente streyght forwarde. Where as the sprete ledd them, thether they went, and turned not aboute in their goynge. ¹³ The fashyon and countenaunce of the beastes was lyke hoate coales of fyre, euen as though burnynge cressettes had bene amonge the beastes: and the fyre gaue a glystre, and out of the fyre there wente lyghtenynge. ¹⁴ When the beastes wente forwarde and backwarde, one wolde haue thought it had lyghtened. ¹⁵ Now when I had well considered the beastes, I sawe a worcke of wheles vpon the earth with foure faces also lyke the beastes. ¹⁶ The fashyon and worcke of the wheles was lyke the sea. The foure wheles were ioyned and made (to loke vpon) as it had bene one whele in another. ¹⁷ When one wente forwarde, they wente all foure, and turned them not about in their goinge. ¹⁸ They were large, greate and horryble to loke vpon. Their bodyes were full of eyes round about them all foure. When the beastes wente the wheles wente also with them: ¹⁹ And when the beastes lyft them selues vp from the earth, the wheles were lyft vp also. ²⁰ Whether soeuer the sprete wente, thether wente they also, and the wheles were lyft vp, and folowed them: for the sprete of lyfe was in the wheles. ²¹ When the beastes went forth, stode styll, or lyft them selues vp from the earth: then the wheles also wente, stode styll, and were lyft vp, for the breth of lyfe was in the wheles. ²² Aboue ouer the heades of the beastes there was a fyrmament, whyche was fashyoned as it had bene of the most pure Chrystal, and that was spred out aboue vpon their heades: ²³ vnder the same fyrmament were their wynges layed abrode, one toward another, and two winges couered the body of euery beast. ²⁴ And when they wente forth, I hearde the noyse of their wynges, lyke the noyse of greate waters, as it had bene the voyce of the greate God, and a russhynge together as it were of an hoost of men. And when they stode styll, they let downe their wynges. ²⁵ Now when they stode styll, and had letten downe their wynges, it thondred in the fyrmament that was aboue their heades. ²⁶ Aboue the firmament that was ouer their heades, there was the fashyon of a seate, as it had bene made of Saphir. Vpon the seate there sat one lyke a man. ²⁷ I behelde hym, & he was lyke a cleare lyght, as it had bene all of fyre with in from hys loynes vpwarde. And beneth when I loked vpon him vnder the loynes, me thought he was lyke a shynyng fyre, that geueth lyght on euery syde. Yee the shyne & glystre that lyghtened rounde aboute, ²⁸ was lyke a raynbowe, which in a raynye daye appeareth in the cloudes. Euen so was the symylitude, wherin the glory of the Lorde appeared. When I sawe it, I fel vpon my face, and herkened vnto the voyce of him that spake.

⁹ I sawe also foure wheles besyde the Cherubyns, so that by euerye Cherub there stode a whele. And the wheles were (to loke vpon) after the fashyon of the precyous stone of Tharsis: ¹⁰ yet (vnto the syght) were they fashyoned and lyke, as yf one whele had ben in another. ¹¹ When they wente forthe, they wente all foure together, not turnynge aboute in theyr goynge, But where the fyrste wente, thyther wente they after also, so that they turned not aboute in theyr goynge. ¹² Theyr whole bodyes theyr backes, theyr handes and wynges, yea and the wheles also, were all full of eyes rounde aboute them all foure. ¹³ And I hearde hym call the wheles, Galgal (that is) a rounde boule. ¹⁴ Euery one of them had foure faces: so that the one face was the face of a Cherub, the seconde of a man, the thyrde of a lyon, the fourthe of an Aegle, ¹⁵ and they were lyfted vp aboue. This is the beaste, that I sawe at the water of Cobar, ¹⁶ Nowe when the Cherubins wente, the wheles wente wyth them, & when the Cherubyns shoke theyr wynges to lyfte them selues vpwarde, the wheles remayned not behynde, but were with them also. ¹⁷ Shortly, when they stode, these stode also: And when they were lyfte vp, the wheles were lyfte vp also with them, for the sprete of lyfe was in the wheles. ¹⁸ Then the glory of the Lorde was lyfte vp from the thresholde of the temple, and remayned vpon the Cherubyns. ¹⁹ And the Cherubins flackred wyth theyr wynges, & lyft them selues vp from the earth: so that I sawe when they wente, and the wheles with them. And they stode at the east syde of the porte that is in the house of the Lorde. So the glorye of the Lorde was vpon them.

²² After thys did the Cherubins lyft vp theyr wynges, and the wheles wente wyth them, and the glorye of the Lorde was vpon them.

⁹ Then sayde he vnto me: Thou sonne of man, prophecye thou towarde the wynde: prophecy, & speake to the wynd: Thus sayeth the Lord God: Come (O thou ayre) from the foure wyndes, and blowe vpon these slayne, that they maye be restored to lyfe.

² Daniel spake, and sayd: I sawe in my vision by nyght, and beholde: the foure wyndes of the heauen stroue vpon the sea,

¹⁰ There drewe forthe a fyrye streame, and wente out from him. A thousande tymes a thousande serued him .x.M. tymes ten thousande stode before him. The iudgement was set, and the bokes opened.

¹⁰ And the man that stode amonge the Myrt trees, aunswered and sayde: These are they, whom the Lorde hath sente to go thorowe the worlde. ¹¹ And they aunswered the aungell of the Lorde, that stode amonge the myrt trees, and sayde: We haue gone thorowe the world: and beholde, all the worlde dwell at ease, and are carelesse.

¹⁰ For he hath ben dispysed a lytle season, shall reioyce, when he seyth the tynne weyght in Zorobabels hande. The .vij. eyes are the Lordes, whiche go thorowe the whole worlde.

¹⁴ Then sayde he: These are the two olyue braunches, that stande before the ruler of the whole earthe.

¹⁰ Se that ye not dispise not one of these litelones. For I saye vnto you, that in heauen their aungels alwaies behold the face of my father which is in heauen.

³¹ And he shall sende his aungels with the greate voyce of a trompe, and they shall gader together his chosen from the foure windes, and from the one ende of the worlde to the other.

¹⁹ And the aungell aunswered and sayed vnto hym. I am Gabryel that stande in the presence of God, and am sente to speake to the: & shewe the these glad tidinges.

⁷ And of the Angels he sayth: He maketh his Angels spyrytes, and hys mynysters flammes of fyre.

¹⁴ Are they not al ministringe spirites, sent to minister for their sakes, whiche shal be heyres of saluation?

¹ And after that I sawe .iiij. angeles stand on the .iiij. corners of the earth, holding the .iiij. wyndes of the earth, that the windes should not blow on the earth, neyther on the sea, neyther on any tree.

⁶ And I sawe an angel flye in the middes of heauen hauinge an euerlastinge Gospell to preache vnto them that sytte and dwell on the earth, & to al nacions, kinredes, & tonges, and people, ⁷ sayinge with a loude voice: Feare God, & geue honoure to him, for the houre of his iudgemente is come, and worshyp hym, that made heauen and earth & the sea, & fountaynes of water. ⁸ And there folowed another angel, sayinge: Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, for she made al nacions drinke of the wine of her fornicacion. ⁹ And the thyrd angel folowed them saying wt a loude voice: Yf any man worship the beast & his ymage, and receiue his marke in his forhead, or in his hand, ¹⁰ the same shall drynke of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured in the cup of this wrath. And he shalbe punished in fyre & brimstone before the holy angels, and before the lambe. ¹¹ And the smoke of their tormente ascendeth vp euermore. And they haue no rest daye nor night, which worship the beaste & his ymage, and whosoeuer receiueth the prynt of hys name. ¹² Here is the pacience of saynctes. Here are they that kepe the commaundementes & the fayth of Iesu. ¹³ And I heard a voice from heauen, sayinge vnto me: wryte. Blessed are the dead, whyche here after dye in the Lorde euen so sayth the spyryte, that they may reste from their laboures, but their workes shal folowe them.
