¹ Moreouer, I turned me, lyftynge vp myne eyes, and loked: and beholde there came .iiij. charettes oute from betwixte two hylles, whiche hylles were of brasse.

⁸ He reyseth vp the poore out of the duste, and lyfteth vp the begger from the dong hill: to set them among princes, and to enheret them with the seate of glory. For the pyllers of the earth are the Lordes, and he hath set the rounde worlde vpon them.

²⁹ If he delyuer and graunte pardon, who wil iudge or condemne? But yf he hyde away hys countenaunce, who wyll turne it aboute agayne, whether it be to the people or to anye man?

¹¹ But the counsayll of the Lorde endureth, and the thoughtes of his herte from generacion to generacion.

⁶ Thy righteousnesse standeth lyke the strong mountaynes, and thy iudgemente lyke the great depe. Thou Lord preseruest both men and beastes.

³⁰ There is no wysdome ther is no vnderstandyng, there is no councell agaynste the Lorde.

²⁶ This deuyce hath God taken thorowe the whole worlde, and thus is hys hand stretched out ouer al people. ²⁷ For yf the Lorde of Hostes determen a thynge, who wyl dysanulle it? And yf he stretch forth hys hande, who wil holde it in agayne?

¹³ And euen he am I from the begynnynge, & there is none that can take any thynge out of my hande. And what I do, can no man chaunge.

¹⁰ In the beginning of a thynge, I shewe the ende therof: & I tell before, thynges that are not yet come to passe. With one worde is my deuyce accomplyshed, & fulfylleth all my pleasure. ¹¹ I call a byrde out of the East, & all that I take in hande, out of farre countrees, as soone as I commaunde, I brynge it hether: as soone as I thyncke to deuyse a thynge, I do it.

³⁸ & hathe delyuered the all thynges, that are amonge the children of men: the beastes of the feld, and the foules vnder the heauen, and geuen the dominyon ouer them al. Thou arte that golden head. ³⁹ After the there shall aryse another kyngdome, whiche shall be lesse then thyne. The thyrde kyngedome shalbe lyke copper, & haue dominacyon in all landes. ⁴⁰ The fourthe kyngdome shalbe as stronge as yron. For lyke as yron broseth and breaketh all thynges: Yea euen as yron beateth euery thynge doune, so shall it beate doune and destroye.

¹⁵ Neuertheles leaue the grounde of hys rote styll in the earthe, and bynde hym vpon the playne feld, with cheynes of yron and stele. With the dewe of heauen shall he be wet, and he shall haue hys parte in the herbes of the grounde wyth other wylde beastes.

³⁵ in comparison of whom al they that dwel vpon the earth, are to be reputed as nothinge. He handleth accordinge to hys wyl, among the powers of heauen & amonge the inhabytours of the earthe: and there is none that maye resyste hys hande, or say: what doest thou?

³ and foure great beastes came vp from the sea one vnlyke another. ⁴ The fyrste was a lion, and yet had he Aegles winges. I sawe, that hys wynges were plucte from him, and he taken awaye from the earth: that he stode vpon hys fete as a man, and that there was geuen him a mans herte. ⁵ Beholde, the seconde beaste was lyke a beer & stode vpon the one syde. Amonge his teeth in his mouth he had .iij. greate longe teeth, & it was sayde vnto him: Aryse: eate vp, much fleshe. ⁶ Then I loked, and beholde, there was another lyke vnto a leoparde: thys had wynges as a foule, euen four vpon the backe. This beaste had foure heades, and there was power geuen him. ⁷ After this I sawe in a vision by night, and beholde, the fourthe beast was grymme and horrible, and maruelous strong. It had great yron teeth, it deuoured and destroyed, and stamped the resydue vnder hys fete. It was farre vnlyke the other beastes, that were before it: for it had ten hornes, whereof I toke good hede.

²² But where as it brake, and foure other rose vp in the steade: it sygnifyeth, that out of thys people shall stande vp four kyngdomes, but not so mighty as it.

¹⁸ Then lyfte I vp myne eyes, and sawe, and beholde, foure hornes. ¹⁹ And I sayde vnto the angel, that talketh with me: what be these? he aunswered me: These are the hornes, whiche haue scatred Iuda, Israel and Ierusalem abroade.

¹ So I turned me, lyftyng vp myne eyes, and loked, and beholde, a flying boke.

⁵ The Aungell aunswered, and sayde vnto me: These are the .iiij. wyndes of the heauen, whiche be come forthe to stand before the ruler of al the earth.

²⁸ for to do whatsoeuer thy hande and thy councell determined before to be done.

¹¹ that is to saye in hym in whome we are made heyres, and were thereto predestinate accordynge to the purpose of hym which worketh all thynges after the purpose of hys owne wyll,

¹¹ accordinge to the eternal purpose, whiche he purposed in Christe Iesu our Lorde,
