⁵ But thou after thyne harde herte that can not repente, heapeste the together the treasure of wrath againste the daye of vengaunce, when shall be opened the rightuous iudgement of God,

¹⁵ But when Pharao sawe that he had rest geuen hym, he hardened his hert and herkened not vnto them, as the Lord had sayed.

¹⁷ And beholde I wyl harden the hertes of the Egyptians that they maye folowe you. And I wyll gett me honoure vpon Pharao and vpon all hys hoste, vpon his charettes and vpon his horsse men.

³⁰ But Sehon the kyng of Hesbon wold not let vs passe by hym, for the Lord thy GOD had hardened hys sprite and made his herte tough because he wold delyuer him in to thy handes as it is come to passe thys day.

³⁴ Are not such thynges layed in store wyth me, and sealed vp among my treasures?

²⁰ for it came of the Lorde to harden their hartes, that they shoulde come agaynst Israel in battell, euen to destroye them vtterlye, that they shoulde haue no mercy, but to bringe them to noughte. As the Lorde commaunded Moses.

⁶ Wherfore shulde ye harden your hertes as the Egypcians & Pharao hardened theyr hertes, which for all that (when he had played hys pageauntes wyth them) were fayne to let the people go and departe.

⁸ Wherfore be not styffenecked lyke vnto youre fathers, but yelde youre selues vnto the Lord, & come to hys holye place whiche he hath sanctified for euer, and serue the Lord youre God, that hys wrath maye turne from you.

¹³ And therto he rebelled agaynst Nabuchodonozor which had receyued on othe of hym by God, & was to styfenecked & to harde herted to turne vnto the Lord God of Israel.

³⁰ that the wicked is kept vnto the daye of destruccion, and that the vngodly shalbe broughte forthe in the daye of wrath.

⁸ harden not youre hertes, as when ye prouoked in tyme of temptacion in the wildernes.

⁵ The Lorde vpon thy ryghte hande, shall smyte euen kinges in the daye of hys wrath.

⁴ Riches helpe not in the day of vengeaunce, but rightuousnes deliuereth from death.

¹ He that is styfnecked and wyll not be refourmed, shal sodenly be destroied without any helpe

¹⁴ For God shal iudge all workes and secrete thynges, whether they be good or euell.

⁴ Howebeit I knewe that thou arte obstynate, & that thy neck hath an yron veyne, & that thy browe is of brasse.

⁷ But the house of Israel wyll not folowe the, for they wyll not folowe me: yee all the house of Israell haue styf foreheades and harde hertes.

²⁰ But because hys herte was so proude, and hys stomacke set so fast vnto wilfulnesse: he was deposed from hys kingly trone, & his magesty was taken from hym.

¹⁰ saith the Lorde: they gather together euyll gotten goodes, and laye vp robbery in theyr houses.

¹¹ Neuertheles they would not take hede, but turned their backes, & stopped their eares, that they should not heare: ¹² yea, they made their hertes as an Adamant stone, least they should hear the law & wordes, whiche the Lorde of hostes sent in his holy spirite by the Prophetes afore tyme. Wherfore the Lorde of hostes was verye wroth at them.

¹⁸ As it is written: the iust shal liue by faith. For the wrath of God appeareth from heauen agaynste all vngodlynesse and vnryghtuousnes of men, whiche wythholde the trueth in vnryghtuousnes,

² But we are sure that the iudgement of God is accordynge to trueth agaynst them, which committe suche thinges. ³ Thinkest thou this (O thou man that iudgeste them, whiche do suche thinges) and yet dost euen the very same, that thou shalt escape the iudgement of God?

²² Euen so God wyllynge to shewe his wrath, and to make his power knowen, suffered wyth longe pacience the vessels of wrath, ordeined to damnacion,

²⁵ I woulde not that thys secrete shoulde be hyd from you my brethren (leste ye should be wyse in youre owne conceptes) that partelye blyndenes is happened in Israell, vntyll the fulnes of the gentyls be come in:

¹³ but exhorte one another dayly, whyle it is called to daye, leste anye of you wexe harde herted thorowe the deceythfulnesse of synne.

¹⁵ so longe as it is sayde, to daye yf ye heare hys voyce, harden not youre hartes, as when ye rebelled.

⁷ Againe he appointeth in Dauid a certaine present day after so longe a tyme, saiynge as it is rehearsed, this daye yf ye heare his voice, be not harde herted.

³ Your gold and your siluer are cankered, & the ruste of them shal be a witnes vnto you, and shall eate your fleshe, as it were fyre. Ye haue heaped treasure together in your laste dayes:

⁹ The Lorde knoweth howe to deliuer the Godlye out of temptacion, and howe to reserue the vniuste vnto the daye of iudgement for to be punyshed,

⁷ But the heauens verely and earth, which are now are kept by the same worde in store, and reserued vnto fyre, agaynste the daye of iudgemente, and perdycyon of vngodlye men.

⁶ The aungels also whiche kepte not theyr fyrste estate: but lefte theyr habytacyon, he hath reserued in euerlastyng chaynes vnder darkenes vnto the iudgement of the greate daye:

¹⁷ for the great day of his wrath is come: And who can endure it?
