¹ And he shewed me a pure ryuer of water of life cleare as cristal: procedyng out of the seat of god and of the lambe.

⁸ They shalbe satisfied with the plenteousnesse of thy house, and thou shalte geue them drynke of the ryuer of thy pleasures. ⁹ For by the is the wel of lyfe, and in thy lyght, shall we se lyght.

⁴ For there is a floude, which with hys ryuers reioyseth the cytye of God, the holy dwellyng of the moost hyest.

¹⁸ I bringe forth floudes in the hylle, and welles in the playne feldes. I turne the wildernes to riuers, & the drye lande to condythes of water.

¹⁸ Yf thou wilt now regarde my commaundement, thy welthynes shalbe as the water streame, and thy ryghteousnes as the waues flowynge in the sea.

¹² For thus sayeth the Lorde: Beholde, I wyll let peace into her, lyke a water floude, and the myght of the Heathen lyke a flowinge streame. Then shall ye sucke, ye shalbe borne vpon her sides and be ioyfull vpon her knees.

¹³ For my people hath done two euyls. They haue forsaken me the well of the water of life and dygged them pyttes, yea vyle & broken pittes, that holde no water.

¹³ Thou art the comforte of Israell. All they that forsake the, shal be confounded: all they that departe from the, shalbe wrytten in earth, for they haue forsaken the Lorde the very condyte of the waters of lyfe.

¹ After this he brought me agayne before the dore of the house: and beholde, there gushed out waters from vnder the postes of the house eastwarde (for the house stode towarde the east) that ranne downe vpon the ryght syde of the house, which lyeth to the aulter south ward. ² Then caried he me out to the north dore, and brought me forth there rounde aboute by the vttemost dore that turneth eastward. Beholde, there came forth the water vpon the right side. ³ Now whan the man that had the meterodde in his hande wente vnto the east dore, he measured a .M. cubites, and then he brought me thorowe the water, euen to the ancles: ⁴ so he measured yet a thousand, and brought me thorow the water agayne vnto the knees: yet measured he a thousande, and brought me thorowe the water vnto the loynes. ⁵ After this he measured a thousande agayne, then was it soch a ryuer that I myght not wade thorow it: The water was so depe, that it was nedefull to haue swimmed, for it myght not be waded ouer. ⁶ And he sayde vnto me: hast thou sene this, O thou sonne of man? and with that, he brought me to the ryuer banck agayne. ⁷ Now when I came there, there stode many trees vpon ether syde of the ryuer bancke. ⁸ Then sayde he vnto me: This water that floweth oute towarde the East, and runneth downe in to the playne felde, commeth in to the sea: and from the sea it runneth out, & maketh the waters whole, ⁹ Yee all that lyue and moue, where vnto this ryuer commeth, shall recouer. And where thys water commeth, there shalbe moch fyshe. For all that commeth, this water, shalbe lusty and whole.

⁸ In that tyme shal the waters of lyfe runne out from Ierusalem: the half parte of them toward the east sea, & the other half toward the vttermost sea, & shal continue both somer & winter.

¹⁰ Iesus aunswered & sayd vnto hyr: if thou kneweste the gyfte of God, and who it is that sayeth to the geue me drynke, thou wouldeste haue axed of hym, and he woulde haue geuen the water of lyfe. ¹¹ The woman sayd to hym: Syr thou hast nothinge to drawe wyth, and the well is depe: from whence then hast thou that water of lyfe?

¹⁴ But whosoeuer shall drinke of the water that I shall geue hym, shall neuer be more a thyrste: but the water that I shall geue him, shall be in him a well of water, springinge vp into euerlasting lyfe.

³⁸ He that beleueth on me, as sayeth the scripture, out of hys bellye shall flowe riuers of water of lyfe. ³⁹ This spake he of the spirite which they that beleueth on him, shoulde receyue. For the holye ghost was not yet because that Iesus was not yet gloryfyed.

¹⁶ & I will praye the father, and he shal geue you another conforter, that he may byde with you euer ¹⁷ which is the spirite of truth whom the worlde can not receyue, because the world seeth hym not, neyther knoweth hym. But ye knowe hym. For he dwelleth with you, & shal be in you. ¹⁸ I wyll not leaue you comfortlesse, but wyll come vnto you.

²⁶ But when the comforter is come, whome I will sende vnto you from the father, which is the spirite of truth, which proceadeth of the father, he shall testify of me.

⁷ Neuerthelesse I tell you the trueth, it is expediente for you that I go awaye. For yf I go not awaye, that comforter wil not come vnto you. But yf I departe, I wil sende hym vnto you. ⁸ And when he is come, he wil rebuke the world of synne, and of ryghteousnesse, and of iudgement ⁹ Of synne, because they beleue not on me: ¹⁰ of ryghteousnesse, because I go to my father, and then ye shall not se me, ¹¹ and of iudgement, because the chiefe ruler of this worlde is iudged already. ¹² I haue yet many thinges to say vnto you, but ye cannot beare them awaye now. ¹³ Howe be it when he is come (I meane the spirite of truth) he wyll lead you into all truth. He shall not speake of hym self, but whatsoeuer he shal heare, that shall he speake, and he wyll shewe you thynges to come. ¹⁴ He shall glorifye me, for he shall receyue of myne, and shall shewe vnto you. ¹⁵ Al thynges that the father hath, are myne. Therfore sayd I vnto you, that he shal take of myne, and shewe vnto you.

⁴ & gathered them together, and commaunded them, that they shoulde not departe from Hierusalem: but to wayt for the promys of the father, wherof ye haue hearde of me. ⁵ For Iohn baptysed with water: but ye shal be baptised with the holy ghost, and that wyth in thys feawe dayes.

³³ Sence nowe that he by the ryght hand of God is exalted, and hath receiued of the father the promyse of the holy ghost, he hath shed forth, that whyche ye now se and heare.

²¹ To hym that ouercommeth, wyl I graunt to sit with me in my seate euen as I ouercame and haue sitten wyth my father, in his seate.

⁵ And out of the seate proceded lyghteninges, and thonderinges, and voyces, and there were seuen lampes of fyre, burninge before the seate, whiche are the seuen spirites of God. ⁶ And before the seate there was a sea of glasse lyke vnto a Crystal, and in the middes of the seate, and roundabout the seat were .iiij. beastes full of eyes before and behinde,

⁶ And I behelde, and lo, in the middes of the seate, and of the .iiij. beastes, and in the myddes of the elders, stode a lambe as though he had bene kylled, whyche had .vij. hornes and .vij. eyes, which are the spirites of God, sente into all the worlde.

¹³ And al creatures whiche are in heauen, and on the earth, and vnder the earth, and in the sea, and al that are in them hearde I saiynge: blessing, honour, glory, and power be vnto him that sytteth vpon the seate, and to the Lambe for euermore.

¹⁰ and cried with a loude voyce, saying: saluacion be ascribed to him that sitteth vpon the seate of our God, and vnto the lamb. ¹¹ And all the Angelles stode in the compasse of the seate, and of the elders, and of the .iiij. beastes, and fell before the seate on theyr faces, & worshipped God

¹⁷ For the lambe, which is in the middes of the seate shall feede them, and shall leade them vnto fountaynes of lyuinge water, and God shall wype awaye al teares from theyr eyes.

⁶ And he said vnto me: it is done, I am Alpha & Omega, the beginning & the ende. I will geue to hym that is a thyrst of the wel of the water of lyfe free.

¹¹ hauyng the bryghtnes of god And her shinyng was lyke vnto a stone most precyous, euen a Iasper cleare as Chrystal,

¹⁷ And the spiryte and the bride said: come. And let him that heareth, saye also come. And let hym that is a thyrste, come. And let whosoeuer wyll, take of the water of lyfe, fre.
