¹ A Psalme and songe of the sonnes of Corah Her foundatyons are vpon the holye hylles:

¹ And Salomon beganne to build the house of the Lorde at Ierusalem in mount Moriah, whiche was shewed Dauid hys father when he prepared a place in the treshyng floure of Ornan the Iebusite.

¹ A songe of a Psalme of the chyldren of Corah. Greate is the Lorde & hyely too be praysed, in the cytye of oure God, euen vpon hys holy hyl. ² The hyll of Syon is lyke a fayre plante, whereof all the lande reioyseth: vpon the north side lyeth the cytye of the great kyng.

¹⁶ Why hoppe ye so, ye greate hylles? It pleaseth God to dwell vpon thys hyll yea the Lorde wyll abide in it for euer.

¹ The song of the steares. I lyft vp myne eyes vnto the hylles, from whence commeth my helpe.

² It will be also in processe of tyme: That the hyl where the house of the Lorde is buylded, shal be the chefe amonge hylles, and exalted aboue al lytle hylles. And all the Heathen shall preache vnto hym, & the multytude of people shall go vnto hym, ³ speakynge thus one to another: vp let vs go to the hyll of the Lorde, & to the house of the God of Iacob: that he maye shewe vs hys waye, and that we maye walcke in hys pathes. For the lawe shall come out of Syon and the worde of God from Ierusalem,

¹⁶ Therfore sayth the Lorde God: Beholde, I wyll laye a stone in Syon a great stone, a costly corner stone for a sure foundacyon: that who so putteth hys truste in hym, shall not be confounded.

⁷ Then wyll I brynge to my holye mountayne, and make them ioyfull in my house of prayer. Their burnt offeringes & sacryfyces shalbe accepted vpon mine aulter, for my house shalbe an house of prayer for all people.

³ thus sayeth the Lord of hostes: I wil turne me agayne vnto Syon & wil dwell in the middest of Ierusalem: so that Ierusalem shalbe called a faythfull, and true cytie, the hyll of the Lorde of hostes, yea an holy hill.

¹⁸ And I saye also vnto the that thou arte Peeter: and vpon thys rocke I wil buylde my congregacion. And the gates of hell shall not preuayle against it.

¹⁰ According to the grace of God geuen vnto me, as a wyse buylder haue I layde the foundation. And another buylte theron. But let euery man take hede how he buildeth vpon. ¹¹ For other foundation can no man laie, then that whiche is layde, whiche is Iesus Christ.

²⁰ and are buylt vpon the foundation of the Apostles & Prophetes, Iesus Christe beynge the head corner stone, ²¹ in whom euerye buyldinge coupled together, groweth vnto an holye temple in the Lorde, ²² in whom ye also are buylde together, and made an habitacion for god in the spyryte.

⁴ to whome ye come as vnto a lyuinge stone dysalowed of men, but chosen of God and precyous: ⁵ and ye as lyuynge stones, are made a spirytuall housse, and an holye priesthode, for to offer vp spyrytuall sacryfyce, acceptable to God by Iesus Christe. ⁶ Wherfore it is contained in the scrypture: beholde, I put in Syon an head corner stone, electe and precyous: and he that beleueth on hym, shall not be ashamed. ⁷ Vnto you therfor whiche beleue, he is precyous, but vnto them whiche beleue not, the stone whiche the buylders refused the same is made the head stone in the corner, ⁸ and a stone to stomble at, and a rocke to offende them whiche stomble at the word, and beleue not that whereon they were set.

¹⁸ This voice we hearde when it came from heauen beynge wyth hym in the holy mounte.
