¹³ The kynges daughter is all glorious within, her clothyng is of wrought golde.

⁷ But the Lorde sayde vnto Samuel: loke not on his fashion nor on the height of hys stature, for I haue refused hym. Because it is not as man seyth. For man loketh on the outward apperaunce, but the Lorde beholdeth the harte.

⁹ Kynges daughters go in thy goodly aray and vpon thy right hande standeth the quene in a vesture of the most fyne golde. ¹⁰ Herken (O daughter) considre, & enclyne thyne eare: forget thyne owne people, & thy fathers house.

¹ O how pleasaunt are thy treadinges with thy shoes, thou princes daughter? Thy thinges are like a fayre iewel, which is wrought by a connyng worke master:

¹⁰ And therfore I am ioyful in the Lorde, and my soule reioyseth in my God. For he shall put vpon me the garment of health, & couer me with the mantle of righteousnes. He shal decke me lyke a brydegrom, and as a bryde that hath her apparell vpon her.

¹⁶ Let your light so shyne before men that they maye se your good workes, and gloryfye your father which is in heauen.

¹¹ Then the kynge came in, to viset the gestes, and spyed there a man which had not on a weddynge garment, ¹² and sayd vnto hym, frend howe fortuned it that thou camest in hyther, and hast not on a weddinge garmente? And he was euen speachlesse.

⁴⁰ Ye foles, dyd not he that made that which is without: make that whiche is within also?

²⁹ but he is a Iewe, which is hyd within, and the circumcisyon of the herte is the true circumcisyon, whiche is in the spirite & not in the letter, whose prayse is not of men, but of God.

²² The ryghteousnes no doubte whiche is good before God commeth by the fayth of Christe, vnto all and vpon all that beleue. There is no difference:

¹⁴ but put ye on the Lorde Iesus Christ. And make not prouysyon for the fleshe, to fulfyll the lustes of it.

¹⁷ Therfore yf anye man be in Christe, he is a newe creature. Olde thynges are passed awaye, beholde all thynges are become newe.

⁹ But ye are a chosen generacyon, a royall priesthode, an holye nacyon and a peculyar people that ye shoulde shewe the vertues of hym that called you oute of darkenes into his marueylous lyght,

³ Whose apparell shall not be outewarde wyth broyeded heare, and hangynge on of golde, other in puttynge on of gorgyous apparell: ⁴ but let the hyd man of the harte be vncorrupte with a meke and a quyete spyryte, whiche spyryte is before God a thynge muche set by.

¹⁸ I counsel the to bye of me golde tryed in the fyre, that thou mayest be ryche, and whyte raymente, that thou mayest be clothed, that thy fylthye nakednes do not appere, & annointe thine eyes wyth eye salue, that thou maiest se.

⁷ Let vs be glad & reioyse & geue honour to him, for the mariage of the lambe is come, and hys wyfe made her selfe readye. ⁸ And to her was graunted that she shoulde be arayed wyth pure and goodlye Raynes. For the Raynes is the ryghtuousnesse of Saynctes.
