¹ Wysdome hath buylded her selfe an house, & hewen out seuen pyllers:

² And he buylte the house of the wood of Lybanon, an hundred cubytes long & fyftye broad, and thyrtye hye, foure square wyth rowes of Cedar pyllers, and Cedar beames a longe vpon the pyllers. ³ And the rouffe was Cedar aboue an hye vpon the beames that lay an hye on the pyllers, whiche pyllers were fourtye & fyue in nombre, fyftene on a rowe,

⁶ And he made a porche of pyllers fyftye cubytes longe and thyrtye cubytes broade: and yet a porche before that wyth pyllers, and a thycke pyller before that.

²¹ And he set vp the pyllers in the porche of the temple, and when he had set vp the right pyller, he called the name therof Iachin, & when he had set vp the left pyller he called the name therof Boaz.

¹⁸ And I saye also vnto the that thou arte Peeter: and vpon thys rocke I wil buylde my congregacion. And the gates of hell shall not preuayle against it.

⁹ We are Goddes labourer, ye are Goddes husbandrye ye are Goddes buyldinge. ¹⁰ According to the grace of God geuen vnto me, as a wyse buylder haue I layde the foundation. And another buylte theron. But let euery man take hede how he buildeth vpon. ¹¹ For other foundation can no man laie, then that whiche is layde, whiche is Iesus Christ. ¹² Yf any man buylde on this foundacion, golde, syluer, precyous stones timber, haye or stobble: ¹³ euerye mans worke shall appeare. For the daye shal declare it, & it shalbe shewed in fyre. And the fyre shall trye euery mannes worke, what it is. ¹⁴ Yf any mannes worke that he hath buylt vpon, byde: he shall receiue a rewarde. ¹⁵ If any mannes worke burne, he shall suffer losse: but he shalbe safe him selfe: neuerthelesse yet as it were thorow fyre.

⁹ and therfore when they perceyued the grace that was geuen vnto me, then Iames, Cephas, and Iohn, whiche semed to be pyllars, gaue to me & Barnabas the ryght handes, & agreed with vs, that we should preach amonge the Heathen, and they amonge the Iewes,

²⁰ and are buylt vpon the foundation of the Apostles & Prophetes, Iesus Christe beynge the head corner stone, ²¹ in whom euerye buyldinge coupled together, groweth vnto an holye temple in the Lorde, ²² in whom ye also are buylde together, and made an habitacion for god in the spyryte.

¹⁵ but and yf I tarye longe, that then thou mayeste yet haue knowledge howe thou oughtest to behaue thy selfe in the housse of God, whiche is the congregacyon of the lyuynge God, the pyllar & ground of trueth.

³ And yet was this man counted worthy of more glorye then Moyses: In as muche as he which hath prepared the house hath most honoure in the house. ⁴ Euery house is prepared of some man. But he that ordeyned al thinges is God. ⁵ And Moyses verelye was faythfull in al hys house as a minyster, to beare wytnes of those thynges, whyche shoulde be spoken afterwarde. ⁶ But Chryste as a sonne hath rule ouer the house, whose house are we, so that we holde faste the confidence and the reioysynge of that hope, vnto the ende.

⁵ and ye as lyuynge stones, are made a spirytuall housse, and an holye priesthode, for to offer vp spyrytuall sacryfyce, acceptable to God by Iesus Christe. ⁶ Wherfore it is contained in the scrypture: beholde, I put in Syon an head corner stone, electe and precyous: and he that beleueth on hym, shall not be ashamed.

¹² Hym that ouercommeth, wyl I make a pyller in the temple of my God, and he shal go no more out. And I wyl wryte vpon him, the name of my God, and the name of the cytye of my God, newe Ierusalem, which commeth doune out of heauen from my God, & I wyl wryte vpon him my newe name.
