¹ O my sonne, forget not my law but se that thyne hert kepe my commaundementes.

⁹ Take hede to thy selfe therfore only & kepe thy soule diligently, that thou forget not the thynges whych thyne eyes haue sene, & that they departe not oute of thyne herte, all the dayes of thy lyfe: but teach them thy sonnes and thy sonnes sonnes.

²³ Take hede to your selues therefore, that ye forgett not the appoyntment of the Lorde your god which he made with you, & that ye make you no grauen ymage of whatoeuer it be that the Lorde thy God hath forbydden the.

⁶ And these wordes which I commande the thys daye, shall be in thyne hert ⁷ & thou shalt whett theim on thy children. & shalt talke of theim when thou arte at home in thyne house, and as thou walkeste by the way, and when thou lyest downe and when thou rysest vp: ⁸ and thou shalt bynd them for a sygne vpon thyne hande. And they shall be papers of remembraunce betwene thyne eyes and ⁹ shalt write them vpon the postes of thy house & vpon thy gates.

¹ All the commaundementes which I commaunde the thys day ye shall kepe for to do them, that ye may lyue & multiplye, & go & possesse the lande which the lord sware vnto youre fathers.

¹⁶ in that I commaunde the thys daye to loue the Lorde thy God, & to walke in hys waies & to kepe his commaundementes, his ordinaunces, and his lawes: that thou maist lyue and multiply, & that the Lord thy God may blesse the, in the land whither thou goest to possessess it. ¹⁷ But and if thyne hert turne away, so that thou wylte not heare: but shalt go astraye & worshyp straunge Goddes and serue them, ¹⁸ I pronounce vnto you thys daye, that ye shall surely perysh, and that ye shal not prolonge your daies vpon the land whither thou passest ouer Iordan to go and possesse it. ¹⁹ I cal to recorde thys daye vnto you, heauen and earth, that I haue set before you life and death, blessynge & cursinge: but chose lyfe, that thou, and thy sede may liue, ²⁰ in that thou louest the Lord thi God, herkenest vnto his voyce, and cleauest vnto hym. For he is thy lyfe, & the length of thy daies, that thou mayst dwell vpon the earth whych the Lorde sware vnto thy fathers: Abraham, Isaac, & Iacob, to gyue them.

¹⁶ My delite shalbe in thy statutes, I wyll not forget thy wordes.

³⁴ O geue me vnderstandyng, & I shall kepe thy lawe, yea I shal kepe it wyth my whole herte.

⁴⁷ My delyte shalbe in thy commaundementes whych I loue. ⁴⁸ My handes also wyll I lyft vp vnto thy commaundementes which I loue, and my talkinge shalbe of thy statutes.

⁹³ I will neuer forget thy commaundementes, for with them thou quickenest me.

¹⁵³ Res. O considre myne aduersite, & deliuer me, for I do not forget thy lawe.

¹⁷⁶ I go astraye, lyke a shepe that is lost: Oh seke thy seruaunt, for I do not forget thy commaundementes.

⁸ My sonne, heare thy fathers doctryne, & forsake not the lawe of thy mother:

⁵ Get the wysdome, get the vnderstanding forget not the wordes of my mouth, & shrinke not from them.

⁵ lest they beyng dronken forget the law, & regarde not the cause of the poore, and of al such as be in aduersite.

¹⁷ Awake, awake, and stande vp, O Ierusalem, thou that from the hande of the Lorde, hast droncken oute the cuppe of hys wrath, thou that hast supped of, and sucked oute the slombrynge cuppe to the bottome.

³³ But thys shall be the couenaunte that I wyll make with the house of Israel after those dayes, sayeth the Lorde: I wyll plante my lawe in the inwarde partes of them, & wryte it in theyr hertes, and wilbe theyr God, and they shalbe my people.

⁶ my people perish, because they haue no knowledge. Seing then that thou hast refused vnderstanding, therfore wil I refuse the also: so that thou shalt no more be my preste. And for so muche as thou hast forgotten the lawe of thy God, I wil also forget thy children.

²¹ He that hathe my commaundementes and kepeth them, the same is he that loueth me. And he that loueth me, shal be loued of my father: And I will loue hym, and will shewe myne owne selfe to him. ²² Iudas sayd vnto hym (not Iudas Iscarioth) Lord what is the cause that thou wilte shewe thy selfe vnto vs, & not vnto the worlde? ²³ Iesus aunswered and sayd vnto hym, yf a man loue me, and will kepe my saiynges, my father also will loue hym & we will come vnto hym, and will dwell to hym. ²⁴ He that loueth me not, kepeth not my saiynges. And the wordes whiche ye heare, are not myne, but the fathers which sent me.
