¹⁴ The seate of the Kynge that faythfully iudgeth the poore, shall contynue sure for euermore.

¹¹ When al they that hearde me, called me happie: & when all they that sawe me, wyshed me good. ¹² For I delyuered the poore when he cried, and the fatherlesse that wanted helpe. ¹³ He that shoulde haue bene lost, gaue me a good worde, and the wyddowes herte praysed me. ¹⁴ And why? I put vpon me ryghteousnes, whyche couered me as a garment, and equyte was my croune. ¹⁵ I was an eye vnto the blinde, and a fote to the lame, ¹⁶ I was a father vnto the poore and when I knew not their cause, I sought it oute diligently. ¹⁷ I brake the chaftes of the vnrighteous, and plucte the spoyle oute of their tethe. ¹⁸ Therfore, I thought verely, that I should haue dyed in my nest: & that my daies should haue bene as many as the soundes of the sea.

² That he maye gouerne thy people accordynge vnto ryght and defende thy poore. ³ That the mountaynes maye brynge peace, and the litle hylles righteousnesse vnto the people. ⁴ He shall kepe the symple folke by theyr ryght, defende the chyldren of the poore, and punish the wronge doer.

¹² For he shall delyuer the poore when he cryeth, and the neady that hath no helpe. ¹³ He shalbe fauorable to the simple & poore, he shall preserue the soules of suche as be in aduersitie. ¹⁴ He shall delyuer their soules from extorcyon and wrong, and deere shall their bloud be in hys sight.

² How long will ye geue wrong iudgement, and accept the personnes of the vngodly? Selah. ³ Defende the poore and fatherlesse, se that suche as be in nede & necessitie haue right.

² For I haue sayed, mercy shalbe set vp for euer, thy faythfulnesse shalt thou stablysh in the heauens.

¹² It is a great abhominatyon when kynges are wycked, for a kinges seat should be holden vp wyth ryghtuousnesse

²⁸ Mercy and faithfulnes preserue the kynge, and wyth louyng kyndnes his seate is holden vp.

⁵ Take awaye vngodlynes from the king, & his seat shalbe stablished wt ryghtuousnes

¹⁶ Wher the prynce is wythout vnderstandyng, ther is greate oppression and wronge: but if he be such one as hateth couetousnesse he shall longe raygne.

⁴ With true iudgment the kyng setteth vp the land, but if he be a man that taketh giftes, he turneth it vpsyde downe.

¹⁷ Lerne to do right, applye youre selues to equite, delyuer the oppressed, helpe the fatherlesse to hys ryght, let the wyddowes complaynte come before you.

⁶ For vnto vs a chylde shalbe borne, and vnto vs a sonne shalbe geuen. Vpon his shoulder shall the kyngedome lye, and he shalbe called with hys owne name. The wonderous geuer of councel, the myghty God, the euerlastinge father, the prynce of peace, ⁷ he shall make no ende to encrease the kyngedome and peace, and shall sytte vpon the seate of Dauid, and in his kyngedome, to set vp the same, to stablyshe it wyth equyte and ryghteousnesse, from thence forth for euermore. This shall the gelousy of the Lorde of hostes brynge to paste.

⁴ but wyth ryghteousnesse shall he iudge the poore, and with holynes shal he refourme the symple of the worlde. He shall smyte the worlde wyth the staffe of hys mouthe, & with the breathe of his mouth shall he slay the wicked.

²⁸ hereof are they fat and welthy, and are runne awaye fro me wyth shameful blasphemyes. They mynistre not the lawe, they make no ende of the fatherlesses cause, they iudge not the poore according to equite.

¹⁶ Yee when he helped the oppressed and poore to their ryght then prospered he well. From whence came this, but onlye because he had me before hys eyes, sayth the Lorde.

²⁷ Wherfore, O Kyng, be content with my councel, that thou mayeste lowse thy synnes wyth ryghtuousnesse, and thyne offences with mercye to poore people: for suche thynges shall prolonge thy peace.

³² He shalbe greate, and shalbe called the sonne of the hiest. And the Lorde God shal geue to hym the seat of his father Dauid, ³³ and he shall raigne ouer the house of Iacob for euer, & of his kingdome shall be no ende.

⁸ But vnto the sonne he sayeth: God thy seate shall be for euer and euer. The cepter of thy kyngdome is a ryghte ceptre. ⁹ Thou hast loued ryghtuousnes, and hated inyquytye. Wherfore God, whiche is thy GOD, hath anoynted the wyth the oyle of gladnes aboue thy felowes.
