³ A wise man seith the plage and hideth him self, but the folysh go on styl and are punished.

²⁰ And as manye as feared the worde of the Lorde among the Seruauntes of Pharao, made theyr seruauntes and theyr beastes flee to house: ²¹ and they that regarded not the word of the Lord lefte theyr seruauntes and theyr Beastes in the fyelde.

⁷ & beheld the simple people: and among other yong folkes I spyed one yonge fole

²² Immediatly he folowed her, as it were an oxe led to the slaughter (& lyke as it were to the stockes, where foles are punyshed) ²³ so longe tyll she had wounded hys lyuer with her dart: like as if a byrde hasted to the snare not knowyng that the parell of his lyfe lieth therupon.

¹⁶ Who so is ignorant (sayeth she) let him come hyther, and to the vnwyse she sayeth: ¹⁷ stollen waters are swete, and the bread that is preuely eaten, hath a good tast. ¹⁸ But they consyder not that death is there, and that her gestes go doune to hell.

¹⁶ A wyse man feareth, and departeth from euel, but a foole goeth on presumptuously.

¹² A wyse man seynge the plage wyll hyde hym selfe, as for fooles they go on styll, and suffer harme.

¹ He that is styfnecked and wyll not be refourmed, shal sodenly be destroied without any helpe

²⁰ So go now my people into thy chambre, & shut the dore to the, and suffre now the twincklynge of an eye, tyll the wrathe be ouerpaste. ²¹ For beholde, the Lorde wyl go out of his habitacyon, and vpset the wyckednesse of them that dwell vpon earthe. He wyl dyscouer the bloud that she hath deuoured, she shal neuer hyde them, that she hath murthered.

¹⁵ When ye therfore shall se the abhomination that betokeneth desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophete, stande in the holye place (let hym that readeth it, vnderstande it) ¹⁶ then let theim which be in Iurye, flye into the mountaines. ¹⁷ And let him which is on the house toppe not come doune to fetche anye thinge out of his house. ¹⁸ Neither let him which in is the fielde returne backe to fetche his clothes.

² for ye youre selues knowe perfectly that the daie of the Lorde shall come euen as a thefe in the nyght. ³ When they shal say peace and no daunger, then commeth on them soden destruccion, as the trauaylynge of a woman wyth chyld, and they shal not escape. ⁴ But ye brethren are not in darckenes, that that daye shoulde come on you as it were a thefe. ⁵ Ye are all the chyldren of lyght and the chyldren of the daye. We are not of the nyghte neither of darckenes. ⁶ Therfore let vs not slepe as do other: but let vs watche & be sober.

¹⁸ that by two immutable thynges (in which it was vnpossyble that GOD shaulde lye) we myghte haue perfecte consolacyon, whiche haue fled, for to holde faste the hope that is set before vs,

⁷ By faythe Noe honoured God, after that he was warned of thynges whiche were not sene, and prepared the arcke to the sauynge of hys housholde, thorow the whiche arcke, he condemned the worlde, and became heyre of the rightuousnes that commeth by faythe.
