²⁹ An vngodly man goeth forth rashlye, but the iuste refourmeth his owne waie.

⁵ O that my wayes were stablished to kepe thy statutes.

⁵⁹ I cal myne owne wayes to remembrance, and turne my fete into thy testimonies.

⁵ The rightuousnes of the innocent ordereth his way, but the vngodly shall fall in his owne wyckednesse.

¹⁴ Well is hym that standeth alwaye in awe: as for hym that hardeneth his hert, he shall fal into myschyefe.

¹ He that is styfnecked and wyll not be refourmed, shal sodenly be destroied without any helpe

² Lyft vp thine eyes on euery side, and loke, yf thou be not defyled. Thou hast wayted for them in stretes, and as a murtherer in the wildernesse. Thorowe thy whordome and shameful blasphemies, is the lande defyled. ³ This is the cause, that the rayne and eueninge dew hath ceased. Thou hast gotten the an whores foreheade, and canst not be ashamed.

³ Where as thou (O Lorde) lokest only vpon faythe and truthe. Thou hast scourged them, but they toke no repentaunce: thou hast correcte them for amendement, but they refused thy correccion. They made their faces harder then a stone, and woulde not amende.

¹² Fye for shame, how abhominable thinges do they? and yet they be not ashamed, yea thei knowe of no shame. Wherfore in the tyme of theyr vysytacion they shall fall among the dead bodyes, sayeth the Lorde.

¹⁶ As for the wordes that thou hast spoken vnto vs in the name of the Lorde, we will in no wyse heare them: ¹⁷ but whatsoeuer goeth oute of oure owne mouth, that wyl we do. We wyl do sacryfice, and offre oblacions vnto the Quene of Heauen: lyke as we & our forefathers, our kinges and oure heades haue done in the cities of Iuda, & in the stretes, & feldes of Ierusalem. For then had we plenteousnesse of vytayles, then were we in prosperytie, and no mysfortune came vpon vs.

²⁸ For in so muche as he remembreth hym selfe, & turneth him from all the vngodlynes, that he had vsed, he shall lyue, and not dye.

⁵ Consydre nowe youre owne wayes in youre hertes (sayth the Lorde of hostes)

⁷ Thus sayeth the Lorde of hostes: Consydre your owne wayes in your hertes,

¹⁵ And now (I praye you) consydre from thys daye forthe, and howe it hath gone wyth you afore: or euer there was layed one stone vpon another in the temple of the Lorde,

¹⁸ Consydre then from thys daye forth and afore, namely, from the .xxiiij. daye of the .ix. moneth, vnto the daye that the foundacion of the Lordes temple was layed: marck it wel ¹⁹ is not the sede yet in the barne? haue not the vines, the fyggetrees, the pomgranates, & oliue trees bene yet vnfrutefull? but from this day forth, I shall make them to prospere.

¹⁷ Then he came to hym selfe, and sayed: Howe many hyred seruauntes at my fathers haue breade ynough, and I dye for honger, ¹⁸ I wyll aryse, and go to my father, and will say vnto hym: father I haue synned agaynst heauen and before the,

¹¹ God him selfe our father, and our Lord Iesus Christ guide oure iorney to you:
