²⁰ But oure conuersation is in heauen, from whence we loke for a sauiour, euen the Lorde Iesus Christ,

¹¹ Thou hast shewed me the wayes of lyfe: thou shalte make me full of ioye wyth thy countenaunce. At thy ryght hande there is pleasure and ioye for euermore.

¹⁵ But as for me, I wil beholde thy presence in righteousnes: and when thy glory appeareth, I shall be satisfied.

²⁴ Thou leadest me with thy counsayll, and afterwarde receyuest me vnto glory. ²⁵ O what is there prepared for me in heauen? there is nothinge vpon earthe, that I desyre in comparyson of the. ²⁶ My fleash & my hert fayleth, but God is the strength of my herte, and my porcion for euer.

²⁴ The waye of lyfe leadeth vnto heauen, that a man shoulde beware of hell beneth.

¹ Then shal thys songe be sung in the lande of Iuda. We haue a stronge cyty, the walles and the ordynaunce shal kepe vs. ² Open the gates, that the good people maye go in, whiche laboureth for the truthe.

¹⁹ Se that ye gater you not treasure vpon the earth, where ruste & mothes corrupte, & wher theues breake throughe & steale. ²⁰ But gather ye treasure together in heauen, where neither rust nor mothes corrupt, & where theues neyther breake vp nor yet steale. ²¹ For wher soeuer your treasur is, ther wyl your hertes be also.

²¹ And Iesus sayde vnto him, if thou wilt be perfecte go and sell that thou haste, and geue it to the poore, and thou shalt haue treasure in heauen, and come and folowe me.

²¹ So is it with hym that gathereth ryches, and is not ryche in God.

³² Feare not litel flocke, for it is your fathers pleasure, to geue you a kingdom. ³³ Sell that ye haue, and geue almes. And make you bagges whiche were not old, and treasure that faileth not in heauen, where no these cometh, neyther mothe corrupteth. ³⁴ For where youre treasure is there wyll youre hertes be also.

¹⁴ & thou shalte be happy, for they can not recompence the. But thou shalte be recompensed at the resurreccyon of the iust men.

¹¹ whyche also sayde: ye men of Galile, why stande ye gasynge vp into heauen? This same Iesus which is taken from you into heauen, shal so come, euen as ye haue sene hym go into heauen.

⁷ so that ye are behynd in no gyfte, and wayte for the appearynge of oure Lorde Iesus Christe,

¹⁸ whyle we loke not on the thinges whiche are sene, but on the thinges which are not sene. For thynges whiche are sene, are temporall, but thynges whiche are not sene, are eternall.

⁸ Neuerthelesse we are of good comforte, and had leuer be absente from the bodye, and to be presente with the Lorde.

²⁶ But Hierusalem, whiche is aboue, is fre, whiche is the mother of vs all.

⁶ and hath rayseth vs vp together, & made vs sitte together in heauenly thynges thorowe Christ Iesu,

¹⁹ Nowe therfore ye are no more straungers and foreners, but citizyns with the sainctes, and of the houshold of God:

¹⁰ that ye myght accepte thinges moste excellent, that ye might be pure and such as should hurte no mannes conscience, vntyll the daye of Christe,

¹⁸ What then? So, that Christe be preached al maner wayes, whether it be by occasion, or of true meaninge, I therin ioye: ye & will ioye. ¹⁹ For I knowe that this shall chaunce to my saluacion, thorowe your prayer and mynystringe of the spyryte of Iesu Christe, ²⁰ as I hertely loke for and hope that in nothinge I shalbe ashamed, but that wyth all confydence as alwayes in tymes paste, euen so nowe Christe shall be magnyfyed in my bodye, whether it be thorowe lyfe, or else death. ²¹ For Christe is to me lyfe, and death is to me auauntage.

⁵ for the hopes sakes, whiche is layde vp in store for you in heauen of whiche hope ye haue heard before by the true worde of the Gospe

¹ If ye be then rysen agayn with Christ seke those thinges which are aboue where Christe sitteth on the right hand of God. ² Set youre affeccion on thinges that are aboue, and not on thinges, which are on the earth. ³ For ye are dead and youre lyfe is hid with Christ in God.

¹⁰ and for to loke for hys sonne from heauen, whom he raised from death. I meane Iesus which deliuered vs from wrath to come.

¹⁶ For the Lord hym selfe shall descende from heauen with a shoute, and the voice of the Archangell and trompe of God. And the deade in Christ shall arise fyrste:

⁷ and to you whiche are troubled, reste wyth vs, when the Lorde Iesus shall shewe hym selfe from heauen wyth hys myghtye Aungels, ⁸ in flammynge fyre, rendrynge vengeaunce vnto them that knowe not God, and to them that obeye not vnto the Gospel of our Lorde Iesus Christ,

⁸ From henceforth is layde vp for me a croune of ryghtuousnes which the Lorde that is a ryghtuous iudge shall geue me at that daye: not to me only, but vnto all them that loue hys comynge.

¹³ lokynge for that blessed hope and gloryous apperyng of the myghtye God, and of oure sauyoure Iesu Christe,

²⁸ euen so Christ was ones offered to take away the synnes of many, and vnto them that loke for hym, shall he appere agayne wythoute synne vnto saluacyon.

³⁴ For ye suffered also wyth my bondes, and toke in worth the spoyllyng of your gootes, & that wyth gladnes, knowynge in youre selues howe that ye had in heauen a better & an endurynge substaunce. ³⁵ Caste not awaye therfore youre confidence whiche hath great reward to recompence.

²² But ye are come vnto the mounte Syon, and to the cytye of the lyuyng God, the celestiall Ierusalem: and to an innumerable syghte of Angels,

³ Blessed be God the father of oure Lorde Iesus Christe, whiche thorowe his aboundaunt mercye begat vs agayne vnto lyuely hope by the resurreccyon of Iesus Christe from death, ⁴ to enioye an enherytaunce immortall & vndefyled, and that putryfyeth not, reserued in heauen for you,

¹² lokynge for and hasting vnto the comminge of the daye of God, in which the heauens shall perishe with fyre, & the elementes shalbe consumed wyth heat. ¹³ Neuertheles we loke for a new heauen and a newe earth, accordinge to his promys, wherin dwelleth rygtuousnes. ¹⁴ Wherfore dearly beloued, seynge that ye loke for such thinges, be diligent that ye may be found of hym in peace, wythout spotte and vndefyled

⁷ Behold he commeth wyth cloudes, and al eyes shal se him: and they also whiche persed hym. And all kynredes of the earth shal waile. Euen so. Amen:

¹⁰ And he caryed me away in the spirite to a great & hygh mountayne, & he shewed me the great citie, holy Ierusalem, descendyng out of heauen from God, ¹¹ hauyng the bryghtnes of god And her shinyng was lyke vnto a stone most precyous, euen a Iasper cleare as Chrystal, ¹² & had walles great and hye, and had twelue gates, & at the gates .xij. angelles: & names wrytten, which are the twelue trybes of Israel: ¹³ on the easte parte thre gates, & on the northe syde thre gates, & towardes the south .iij. gates, and from the west thre gates, ¹⁴ & the wal of the citie had .xij. foundacyons, & in them the names of the lambes twelue Apostles. ¹⁵ And he that talked with me, had a golden rede to measure the cytie with al & the gates therof & the wal thereof. ¹⁶ And the citie was buylt .iiij. square, & the length was as large as the bredth of it, & he measured the citie with the rede .xij.M. furlonges: & the length and the bredth, & the heyth of it were equall. ¹⁷ And he measured the wal therof an .cxliiij. cubites, the measure that the angel had, was after the measure the man vseth. ¹⁸ And the buyldyng of the wall of it was of Iaspar. And the citie was pure golde lyke vnto cleare glasse, ¹⁹ and the foundacyons of the wall of the cytye were garnyshed with all maner of precious stones. The first foundacyon was Iaspar, the seconde saphyre, the thyrde a calcedony, the fourth an emerald: ²⁰ the fyft sardonix: the .vi. sardeos: the .vij. chrysolite the .viij. beral: the .ix. a topas, the tenth a chrisoprasos: the .xi. a Iacint: and the .xij. an amatist. ²¹ The .xij. gates were .xij. pearles, euery gate was of one pearle, & the strete of the cytie was pure golde, as thorowe shynyng glasse. ²² And there was no temple therein. For the Lord God almyghty & the lambe are the temple of it ²³ & the cytye hath no nede of the sunne neyther of the mone to lyghten it. For the bryghtnes of God dyd lyght it, & the lambe was the lyght of it. ²⁴ And the people which are saued, shall walke in the light of it: & the kinges of the earth shal brynge theyr glory vnto it. ²⁵ And the gates of it are not shut by daye. For there shalbe no myght there. ^{26 27} And there shal enter into it none vncleane thyng, neyther whatsoeuer worketh abominacyon: or maketh lyes: but they onely which are wrytten in the lambes boke of lyfe.
