²¹ whiche shal chaunge oure vyle bodies, that they maie be fashioned like vnto his glorious bodie, accordinge to the working, wherby he is able to subdue all thinges vnto him selfe.

⁸ As for death, he shal vtterly consume it. The Lord God shall wype awaye teares from all faces, & take away the confusion of his people thorow the whole worlde. For the lord hym selfe hath sayde it.

¹⁹ But as for thy dead men and oures, that be departed, they are in lyfe and resurreccion. They lye in the earthe, they wake, & haue ioy: for thy dewe is a dew of lyfe and light. But the place of the malycyous Tyrauntes is fallen awaye.

¹⁴ had not I defended hym from the graue, and delyuered hym from deathe. O death, I wyl be thy death: O hel, I wil be thy stynge.

² and was transfigured before them, and his face did shyne as the sunne and hys clothes were as whyte as the light:

²⁹ Iesus answered & sayd vnto them: ye are deceyued and vnderstande not the scriptures, nor yet the power of God.

¹⁸ And Iesus came and spake vnto them saiynge: all power is geuen vnto me in heauen and in earth.

²⁵ Verely verely, I saye vnto you: The tyme shall come, and nowe is, when the dead shall heare the voyce of the sonne of God. And they that heare shall lyue. ²⁶ For as the father hath lyfe in him selfe, so lykewyse hath he geuen to the sonne to haue lyfe in him selfe, ²⁷ and hath geuen him power also to iudge, in that he is the sonne of man. ²⁸ Maruaile not at this, the houre shall come in the which all that are in the graues, shal heare his voice, ²⁹ and shall come forth: they that haue done good, vnto the resurreccion of lyfe, and they that hath done euil, vnto the resurreccion of damnacion.

²⁴ Martha sayed vnto him: I knowe that he shall ryse agayne in the resurreccyon at the laste daye. ²⁵ Iesus sayed vnto her: I am the resurreccion and the lyfe. He that beleueth on me, ye though he were dead, yet shall he lyue. ²⁶ And whosoeuer lyueth, and beleueth on me, shall neuer dye. Beleuest thou thys?

²⁹ For those which he knewe before he also ordeyned before, that they shoulde be like fashioned vnto the shape of hys sonne that he myght be the fyrste begotten sonne amonge manye brethren.

²⁵ For he muste reigne tyll he haue put all hys enemies vnder his fete. ²⁶ The laste enemy that shalbe destroied is death. ²⁷ For he hath put all thinges vnder hys fete. But when he sayeth, all thinges are put vnder hym it is manifest that he is excepted, whyche dyd put all thinges vnder him. ²⁸ When all thinges are subdued vnto hym: then shall the sonne also him selfe be subiecte to him that put al thinges, vnder him that God maye be all in all thinges.

⁴² So is the resurreccion of the dead. It is sowen in corruption, and ryseth in incorruption. ⁴³ It is sowen in dishonoure, and ryseth in honoure. It is sowen in weakenes, and ryseth in power. It is sowen a naturall bodye, and ryseth a spyrytuall bodye. ⁴⁴ There is a naturall bodye, and there is a spiritual bodye, ⁴⁵ as it is written: the fyrste man Adam was made a lyuinge soule, and the last Adam was made a quickeninge spirite. ⁴⁶ Howbeit that is not fyrste whiche is spyrytual: but that which is naturall, and then that which is spyrytual. ⁴⁷ The fyrste man is of the earth, earthlye: the seconde man is the Lorde from heauen. ⁴⁸ As is the earthlye, such are they that are earthlye. And as is the heauenlye, suche are they that are heauenlye. ⁴⁹ And as we haue borne the ymage of the earthly so shal we beare the Image of the heauenlye. ⁵⁰ This saye I brethren, that fleshe and bloude can not inheryte the kyngedome of God. Neyther corruption inheryte: vncorruption. ⁵¹ Beholde I shewe you a mysterye. We shal not al slepe: but we shal al be chaunged, ⁵² and that in a momente & in the twinkling of an eye, at the sound of the last trompe. For the trompe shall blowe, and the dead shal rise incorruptible and we shal be chaunged. ⁵³ For this corruptible must put on incorruptibilitie; and this mortal muste put on immortalytye. ⁵⁴ When this corruptible, hath put on incorruptibilitie, and this mortal hath put on immortalite, then shalbe brought to passe the saiyng that is written. ⁵⁵ Death is consumed into victory. Death wher is thy stynge? Hel wher is thy victory? ⁵⁶ The stinge of death is sinne: & the strength of sinne is the lawe.

¹⁹ and what is the excedynge greatnes of hys power to vs warde, whiche beleue accordynge to the workynge of that hys myghtye power, ²⁰ whiche he wrought in Christe, when he raysed hym from the dead, and set hym on hys ryght hande in heauenly thynges,

⁴ When Christ which is our life, shal shew him selfe then shal ye also appere wyth him in glorye.

² Dearly beloued, now are we the sonnes of God, and yet it doeth not appeare, what we shalbe. But we knowe that when it shal appere, we shalbe like him. For we shall se him as he is.

⁸ I am Alpha and Omega, the begynnynge and the endynge, sayeth the Lorde almyghty, whiche is, which was, and whiche is to come.

¹³ and in the myddes of the candelstickes, one lyke vnto the sonne of man clothed wyth a lynnen garment doune to the grounde, and gyrde aboute the pappes with a golden gyrdle. ¹⁴ Hys heade and hys heares were whyte, as whyte woul and as snowe: & hys eyes were as a flamme of fyre: ¹⁵ & hys fete lyke vnto brasse, as thoughe they brent in a fornace: & his voice as the sound of many waters. ¹⁶ And he had in hys ryghthande .vij. starres. And out of his mouth went a sharp two edged sweard. And hys face shone euen as the sonne in hys strength. ¹⁷ And when I sawe hym, I fell at hys fete, euen as dead. And he layde hys ryght hande vpon me, saiynge vnto me: feare not, I am the fyrste, and the laste, ¹⁸ and am alyue, and was dead. And beholde I am alyue for euer more and haue the kayes of hell, & of death. ¹⁹ Write therfore the thynges, whiche thou hast sene, & the thynges whiche are, & the thynges which shalbe fulfylled here after: ²⁰ and the misery of the .vij. starres which thou sawest in my right hande, and the .vij. golden candelstickes. The .vij. starres are the messengers of the .vij. congregacions: And the .vij. candelstyckes which thou sawest are the .vij. congregacyons.

¹¹ And I sawe a great whyte seate and hym that sate on it, from whose face fled away bothe the earthe & heauen, & theyr place was no more founde. ¹² And I sawe the deade, both great and small stande before God: & the bokes were opened, & an other boke was opened, which is the boke of lyfe, and the dead were iudged of those thynges: which were wrytten in the bokes accordyng to theyr deedes: ¹³ & the sea gaue vp her deade, which were in her, & death & hel delyuered vp the deade which were in them: & they were iudged euery man according to hys deedes. ¹⁴ And death & hell were cast into the lake of fyre. Thys is that seconde death. ¹⁵ And who so euer was not founde wrytten in the boke of lyfe, was caste into the lake of fyre.
