⁷ Go thou thy waye then, eate thy bread wyth ioy, and dryncke thy wyne wyth gladnesse, for thy worckes please God.

¹ Be of good chere my people, be of good chere (sayeth youre God) ² conforte Ierusalem, and tell her: that her trauayle is at an ende that her offence is pardoned, that she hath receyued of the Lordes hande sufficient correccyon for all her synnes.

²² As for thyne offences, I dryue them awaye lyke the cloudes, and thy synnes as the mist. Turne the agayne vnto me, and I wyl delyuer the.

³³ But thys shall be the couenaunte that I wyll make with the house of Israel after those dayes, sayeth the Lorde: I wyll plante my lawe in the inwarde partes of them, & wryte it in theyr hertes, and wilbe theyr God, and they shalbe my people. ³⁴ And from thence forth shall no man teache his neyghboure or his brother, and say know the Lorde: But they shall all knowe me, from the loweste vnto the hyeste, sayeth the Lorde. For I wyll forgeue theyr mysdedes, and wil neuer remembre theyr sinnes any more.

²⁴ And his fame sprede abrode through out all Siria. And they brought vnto him all sycke people that were taken with diuers diseases & gripinges, and them that were possessed with deuils and those which were lunatike, & those that had the palsie: & he healed them,

¹⁰ When Iesus hearde that, he maruailed & sayed to them that folowed him. Verely I say vnto you, I haue not founde so great faith: no, not in Israel.

¹⁶ When the euen was come, they brought vnto him many that were possessed with deuyls. And he cast out the spretes with a word, and healed all that were sycke,

⁶ That ye maye knowe that the sonne of man hath power to forgeue synnes in earth: then sayed he vnto the sicke of the palsie: aryse, take vp thy bed, and go home to thyne house.

²² Then Iesus tourned him about, & behelde her saynge: Doughter be of good comforth, thy faith hath made the safe. And she was made whole euen that same houre.

³² And at euen when the sunne was doune, they brought to hym all that were dyseased, & them that were possessed with deuyls.

¹ After a feawe dayes, he entred into Capernaum agayne, & it was noysed that he was in a house ² And anone many gathered together, in so muche that now there was no rome to receyue them: no, not so much as about the dore. And he preached the worde vnto them. ³ And there came vnto hym that brought one sicke of the palsie, borne of foure men. ⁴ And because they coulde not come nye to hym for preace, they vncouered the rofe of the house, where he was. And when they had broken it open, they let doune the bed where in the sicke of the palsye laye. ⁵ When Iesus saw their fayth, he sayed to the sicke of the palsie, sonne thy synnes are forgeuen the. ⁶ And there were certayne of the scrybes, sittynge there and reasonynge in theyr hertes: ⁷ how doth thys felowe so blaspheme? Who can forgeue synnes, but God onelye? ⁸ And immediatly when Iesus perceyued in hys spirite, that they so reasoned in them selues, he said vnto them why thinke ye suche thynges in your hertes? ⁹ Whether is it easyer to saye to the sicke of the palsie, thy synnes are forgeuen the: or to saye: aryse, take vp thy bed, and walke? ¹⁰ That ye maye knowe that the sonne of man hath power in earth to forgeue synnes, he spake vnto the sicke of the palsye: ¹¹ I saye vnto the, aryse and take vp thy bedde, and get the hence into thyne owne house. ¹² And by and by he arose, toke vp the bedde, & wente forthe before them all: in so muche that they were all amased, and glorifyed God sayinge: we neuer saw it on thys fasshyon.

³⁴ And he sayde to her: Doughter, thy faythe hath made the whole: go in peace, and by whole of thy plage.

¹⁸ And beholde men brought a man liynge in his bedde which was taken with a palsey: & sought meanes to brynge him in, and to laye him before him. ¹⁹ And when they could not finde by what way they might bring him in, because of the prease, they went vp on the toppe of the house, and let him doune thorowe the tyling, bedde & all in the middest before Iesus. ²⁰ When he sawe their faith, he sayed to him: man, thy sinnes are forgeuen the. ²¹ And the scribes and pharyseis began to thinke saiynge: What felowe is this which speaketh blasphemy? who can forgeue synnes but God onlye? ²² When Iesus perceiued their thoughtes, he aunswered and sayd vnto them: What thinke ye in your hertes? ²³ Whether is it easyer to say, thy synnes are forgeuen the, or to saye: ryse & walke? ²⁴ But that ye may knowe that the sonne of man hath power to forgeue sinnes on earth, he said to the sycke of the paulsye, I say to the, aryse, take vp thy bed & go home to thy house. ²⁵ And immediatlye he rose vp before them, and toke vp his bed wheron he laye, and departed to his owne house praysyng God. ²⁶ And they were all amased, and they lauded God & were filled with fear saiyng: We haue sene straung thinges to daye.

⁴⁷ Wherfore I saye vnto the manye synnes are forgeuen her, for she loued much. To whom lesse is forgeuen, the same doth lesse loue. ⁴⁸ And he sayde vnto her, thy synnes are forgeuen the. ⁴⁹ And they that sate at meate with him, began to saye with in them selues: Who is this which forgeueth synnes also? ⁵⁰ And he sayde to the woman. Thy fayth hath saued the. Go in peace.

²⁵ and neded not that any man shuld testyfy of man. For he knew what was in man.

³³ These wordes haue I spoken vnto you, that in me you myght haue peace. For in the worlde shall you haue tribulacyon: but be of good cheare. I haue ouercome the worlde.

⁵ Iesus sayd vnto them: syre, haue ye anye meate? They aunswered him: no.

¹⁵ in so much that they broughte the sycke into the stretes, & layed them on beddes and palettes, that at the leaste waye, the shaddowe of Peter when he came by, myght shadowe some of them. ¹⁶ There came also a multitude out of the cyties round about vnto Hierusalem, bringinge sicke folke, and them whiche were vexed wyth vncleane spirites. And they were healed euery one.

³⁸ Be it knowen vnto you therfore ye men & brethren, that thorowe thys man is preached vnto you the forgeuenes of synnes, ³⁹ and that by hym are all that beleue iustifyed from all thynges from the which ye coulde not be iustifyed by the lawe of Moses.

⁹ The same hearde Paule preache. Whiche behelde hym, and perceyued that he had faythe to be whole,

¹² so that from his bodye, were brought vnto the sycke, napkyns or partletes, and the diseases departed from them, and the euill spirites went out of them.

⁶ Euen as Dauid descrybeth the blessedfulnes of the man vnto whome God ascrybeth ryghteousnes withoute dedes. ⁷ Blessed are they, whose vnryghteousnes are forgeuen, and whose synnes are couered. ⁸ Blessed is that man to whome the Lord imputeth not synne.

¹¹ Not only so, but we also ioy in god by the means of oure Lorde Iesus Christ, by whom we haue receiued the attonment.

¹² geuing thankes vnto the father, which hath made vs mete to be partakers of the inheritaunce of sainctes in lyght. ¹³ Which hath deliuered vs from the power of darcknes and hath translated vs into the kyngdome of his deare sonne, ¹⁴ in whom we haue redempcion thorowe his bloude, that is to saye: the forgeuenes of synnes,

¹⁸ Yea and a man myghte saye: Thou haste faythe, and I haue dedes: Shewe me thy faith by thy dedes, and I wyll shew the my faythe by my dedes.
