¹⁰ Blessed are they which suffer persecucion for rightuousnesse sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heauen:

¹² The vngodly layeth wayte for the iust, & gnassheth vpon him with his tethe.

³ blessed are the pore in sprete: for theirs is the kingdom of heauen.

²³ When they persecute you in one citye, flye into another. I tell you for a truthe, ye shall not fynishe all the cityes of Israel, tyl the sonne of man become.

³⁴ Then shal the kinge saye to them on his right hand. Come ye blessed chyldren of my father, enheryte ye the kingdome prepared for you from the begynninge of the worlde.

³⁰ which shall not receyue an hundred folde now in this lyfe: houses, & brethren and systers, and mothers, and chyldren, and landes wyth persecucyons, and in the worlde to come eternal lyfe.

²⁰ And he lyfte vp his eye vpon the disciples, and sayde: Blessed be ye pore: for yours is the kyngdome of God.

²² Blessed are ye when men hate you, and thruste you out of their companye, and rayle, & abhorre youre name as an euill thinge, for the sonne of mans sake.

¹² But before all these, they shall laye their handes on you and persecute you, delyueringe you vp to the Synagoges & into pryson, and bringe you before kinges and rulers for my names sake.

²⁰ Remember the saiyng that I sayde vnto you: the seruaunt is not greater then the lorde, yf they haue persecuted me, so wyll they persecute you: yf they haue kept my saiynges, so wyll they kepe yours.

⁴⁰ And to him they agreed, and called the Apostles, and beate them, and commaunded that they shoulde not speake in the name of Iesu, and let them go.

¹ Saul had pleasure in hys death. And at the tyme ther was a great persecution agaynste the congregation, whiche was at Ierusalem, & they were all scattered abroade thorowout the regions of Iury & Samaria, excepte the Apostles.

³⁵ Who shall seperate vs from the loue of God shall tribulation? or anguyshe? or persecution? othere honger? other nakednesse? other peryll? other swearde? ³⁶ As it is wrytten: For thy sake are we killed al day longe, and are counted as shepe appointed to be slayne. ³⁷ Neuerthelesse in all these thynges we ouercome stronglye thorowe hys helpe that loued vs. ³⁸ Yea and I am sure that neyther death, neither life, neyther angels, nor rule, neythere power, neythere thinges presente, neyther thynges to come, ³⁹ neyther heyght, neyther loweth, neyther any other creature? shall be able to depart vs from the lowe of God, shewed in Christ Iesu our Lord.

⁹ Me thinketh that God hath sente forth vs, which are Apostles for the lowest, of al as it were men appointed to death. For we are a gasyng stoke vnto the world, and to the aungels, and to men. ¹⁰ We are foles for Christes sake and ye are wise thorow Christe. We are weake, and ye are stronge. Ye are honorable, and we are despised. ¹¹ Euen vnto this daye we honger and thyrst, and are naked, and are boffetted wyth fystes, and haue no certayne dwellinge place, ¹² and labour workinge wyth oure handes. We are reuiled, & yet we blesse. We are persecuted and suffer it. ¹³ We are euyl spoken of and we pray. We are made as it were the filthines of the worlde, the ofscowring of all thynges, euen vnto this time.

⁸ We are troubled on euerye syde, yet are we not withoute shyfte. We are in pouerte, but not vtterlye withoute some what. ⁹ We are persecuted, but are not forsaken. We are caste doune, neuerthelesse we peryshe not. ¹⁰ And we alwayes beare in oure bodyes the dyinge of the Lorde Iesus, that the lyfe of Iesus myght appeare in oure bodyes. ¹¹ For we whiche lyue are alwayes delyuered vnto deathe for Iesus sake, that the lyfe also of Iesu myghte appeare in oure mortall fleshe. ¹² So then death worketh in vs, and lyfe in you.

¹⁷ For oure excedynge trybulation whiche is momentanye and lyghte, prepareth an excedynge and eternall wayghte of glory vnto vs,

²⁸ and in nothing fearing your aduersaries: whiche is to them a token of perdicion, and to you of saluation, and that of God.

⁴ so that we oure selues reioyse of you in the congregacions of GOD ouer youre pacience and fayth in al youre persecucyons and trybulacyons that ye suffer, ⁵ whiche is a token of the ryghtuouse iudgement of God that ye are counted worthye of the kyngdome of God, for whiche ye also suffer. ⁶ It is verely a ryghteous thing with God to recompence trybulacyon to them that trouble you: ⁷ and to you whiche are troubled, reste wyth vs, when the Lorde Iesus shall shewe hym selfe from heauen wyth hys myghtye Aungels,

¹² Yf we be pacyente, we shal also raygne with hym. Yf we denye hym, he also shall denye vs

¹¹ persecucyons, and affliccyons which happened vnto me at Antioche, at Iconium and at Lystra: whiche persecucyons I suffered pacyently. And from them all, the Lorde delyuered me.

² My brethren, count it excedyng ioye when ye fal into dyuers temptacyons, ³ for as muche as ye knowe howe that the triynge of youre fayth bryngeth pacience: ⁴ and let pacyence haue her perfect worke, that ye maye be perfecte and sounde, lackynge nothynge. ⁵ Yf anye of you lacke wysedome, let hym axe of God whiche geueth to all men indyfferentlye, and casteth no man in the teath: and it shal be geuen hym.

¹² Happy is the man that endureth in temptacyon, for when he is tryed, he shal receyue the croune of lyfe, which the Lorde hath promised to them that loue hym.

¹³ Morouer who is it that wyll harme you, yf ye folowe that whiche is good? ¹⁴ Notwithstanding happy are ye, yf ye suffre for ryghtuousnes sake. Yea and feare not though they seme terrible vnto you, neither be troubled,

¹² Dearely beloued, be not troubled in hys heate, whiche nowe is come amonge you to trye you as though some straunge thing had happened vnto you: ¹³ but reioice in as much as ye are partakers of Christes passions, that when his glory appereth, ye maye be mery and glad. ¹⁴ If ye be railed vpon for the name of Christ, happie are ye. For the spyryte of glorye, and the spyryte of Gad resteth vpon you. On theyr parte he is euyll spoken of, but on your parte he is glorified. ¹⁵ Se that none of you suffer as a murtherer or as a thefe, or an euil doar, or as a busibody in other mens matters. ¹⁶ Yf any man suffer as a Christen man, let him not be ashamed, but let him glorifie God on this behalfe.

¹² not as Cayn, which was of the wicked & slewe his brother. And wherfore slewe he him? Because his own workes were euyll, and his brothers good.

¹⁰ Feare none of those thynges, which thou shalt suffre. Behold, the deuil shal caste of you into pryson, to tempte you, and ye shal haue tribulacion .x. dayes. Be faythful vnto the death, & I wyl geue the a croune of life.
