²⁷ Also if I by the helpe of belzabub cast out deuils: by whose helpe do your children caste them out? Therfore they shalbe your iudges.

⁴¹ The men of Niniuye shall ryse at the daye of iudgement with this nacion, and condemne them: for thei amended at the preaching of Ionas: And beholde, a greater then Ionas is here. ⁴² The quene of the south shall ryse at the daye of iudgement with this generacion, and shall condemne theim: for she came from the vttermost parties of the worlde to hear the wysdome of Salomon. ³⁸ Ihon aunswered him saying: Maister, we sawe one castinge out deuels in thy name whiche foloweth not vs and we forbade hym, because he foloweth vs not. ³⁹ But Iesus sayd forbid him not. For there is no man that shall do a miracle in my name, that can lightly speake euill of me.

¹⁹ If I by the power of Belzebub caste oute deuyls: by whom do youre chyldren caste them oute? Therefore shall they be youre iudges.

²² And he sayde to him: Of thyne owne mouthe iudge I the thou euil seruaunt. Knowest thou that I am a strayte man takyng vp that I layde not doune, and reapyng that I did not sowe?

¹³ Then certayne of the vagabounde Iewes exorcistes toke vpon them to call ouer them whyche had euyl spirites, the name of the Lorde Iesus saiynge: We adiure you by Iesu whom Paul preacheth. ¹⁴ And there were seuen sonnes of one Sceua a Iew and chiefe of the priestes which did so. ¹⁵ And the euyl spirite answered and said: Iesus I know and Paull I know: but who are ye? ¹⁶ And that man in whom the euyll spyryte was ranne on them and ouercame them, and preuayled agaynste them, so that they fledde out of that house naked and wounded.
