³³ And when they were to the place which is called Caluarye, ther thei crucyfyed him and the euill doers, one on the right hande, and the other on the lifte.

²³ let not hys body remayne al nyghte vpon the treee, but burye hym the same daye, For the curse of God is on him that is hanged. Defile not thy lande therefore, whyche the Lorde thy God geueth the to enheret.

¹⁶ For dogges are come about me, the counsail of the wicked hath layed seage against me. They pearsed my handes and my fete,

¹⁰ Moreouer, vpon the house of Dauid & vpon the cytesins of Ierusalem wil I poure oute the spirite of grace & prayer, so that they shal loke vpon me, whom they haue pearsed: & they shal bewepe him, as men mourne for their onely begotten sonne: yea & be sory for him, as men are sorye for their fyrst childe.

¹⁹ and shall deliuer hym to the gentels, to be mocked, to be scourged, & to be crucified, and the thirde daye he shall rise agayne.

² Ye know that after two dayes shalbe easter, and the sonne of man shalbe delyuered to be crucifyed.

³³ And when they came vnto the place, called Golgotha (that is to saye: a place of dead mens sculles) ³⁴ they gaue hym veneger to drynke mengled with gall. And when he had tasted therof: he woulde not drinke.

³³ Beholde, we go vp to Hierusalem and the sonne of man shalbe delyuered into the handes of the hye priestes, and vnto the Scribes: and they shall condempne hym to death, and shall delyuer hym to the gentyls: ³⁴ and they shal mocke him, & schourge him and spyte vpon hym, and kyl hym. And the thyrd daye he shall ryse agayne.

²² And they broughte hym to a place named Golgotha (which is by interpretacyon, the place of dead mens sculles) ²³ and they gaue hym to drynke wyne myngled wyth myrre, but he receyued it not.

⁷ saiynge: that the sonne of man must be delyuered into the handes of synfull men, and be crucifyed, and the thirde daye ryse againe.

¹⁴ And as Moyses lyfte vp the serpent in the wyldernes, euen so muste the sonne of man be lyft vp,

³³ This sayde Iesus, signifyenge what death he shoulde dye. ³⁴ The people aunswered hym: We haue hearde oute of the lawe, that Christe bydeth euer: and howe sayest thou then that the sonne of man muste be lyfte vp? who is that sonne of man?

³² That the wordes of Iesus might be fulfylled, whiche he spake, signifiynge what death he shoulde dye.

¹⁷ & he bare his crosse, & went forth into a place called the place of dead mens sculles, which is named in Hebrewe Golgatha, ¹⁸ Where they crucifyed hym, and two other with hym, on eyther syde one, and Iesus in the myddest.

²³ hym haue ye taken by the handes of vnryghtuous persons after he was delyuered by the determinate counsell and for knowledge of God, and haue crucifyed and slayne:

³⁰ The God of our father raysed vp Iesus whom ye slewe and hanged on tree.

²⁹ And when they had fulfilled all that were written on hym, they toke hym doune from the tree, and put hym in a sepulchre.

¹³ But Christ hath delyuered vs from the curse of the lawe, and was made accursed for vs. For it is wrytten: cursed is euery one that hangeth on tre,

¹² Therfore Iesus to sanctyfye the people wyth hys owne bloude, suffered wythout the gate. ¹³ Let vs go forth therfore out of the tentes, and suffre rebuke with him.

²⁴ which hys owne selfe bare oure synnes in hys body on the tree, that we shoulde be delyuered from synne, and shoulde lyue in ryghtuousnes. By whose strypes ye were healed.
