⁵² Then Iesus sayed vnto the hye pryestes and rulers of the temple, and the elders which were come to him. Be ye come out as vnto a thefe with sweardes and staues?

¹⁵ And Iehoiada the priest commaunded the captaynes of the hundredes that had the rule of the hoste, and sayde to them: haue her oute wtoute the ranges, and yf anye folowe her, let hym dye with the swerde: for the prieste sayd: she maye not be slayne in the house of the Lord.

⁵⁵ The same tyme sayde Iesus to the multitude: ye be come out as it were vnto a thief with sweardes and staues, for to take me. I sat daylye teachynge in the temple amonge you, and ye toke me not.

⁴⁸ And Iesus aunswered and sayd vnto them: ye be come oute as vnto a thefe with swerdes & with staues, for to take me. ⁴⁹ I was daylye wt you in the temple teachynge, and ye toke me not: but that the scriptures shoulde be fulfylled.

⁴ and he went his waye and communed with the hygh Priestes and offycers how he myght betraye him to them.

¹² Whyle I was with them in the worlde, I kept them in thy name. Those that thou gauest me, haue I kept, and none of them is lost, but that loste chylde, that the scripture myght be fulfylled.

²⁶ Then went the ruler of the temple with ministers, and brought them without violence. For they feared the people: least they should haue bene stoned.
