¹ As he behelde, he sawe the ryche men how they cast in theyr offerynges into the treasurye,

¹⁹ But of the syluer, golde, vesselles of brasse, & yron shalbe holye vnto the Lorde, and shall go in to hys treasurye.

²⁴ And they burnt the cytye with fyre, and al that was therein. Only the syluer, the golde, & the thynges of brasse, and yeron they put vnto the treasure of the house of the Lorde.

²⁶ & toke awaye the treasure of the house of the Lorde, and the treasure of the kynges house & all that was to be had. And he toke away the shyldes of goulde which Salomon made.

¹³ And he caryed oute thence all the treasure of the house of the Lorde, and the treasure of the kynges house, and brake all the vesselles of goulde, whyche Salomon kynge of Israel had made, in the temple of the Lorde, as the Lorde had sayde.

¹⁸ And all the vessels of the house of God bothe great and smalle, & the treasures of the house of God, & the treasures of the kynge & hys Lordes he caryed to Babilon euery with.

¹³ And I made treasures ouer the treasure, euen Selemiah the prieste, and Zadoc the scrybe, and of the Leuytes Phadaiah & vnder theyr hande Hanan the sonne of Zacur the sonne of Mathaniah: for they were counted faythfull, and theyr offyce was to dystrybute vnto theyr brethren.

⁶ And the chief priestes toke the syluer plates, & sayed: it is not lawfull for to putte them into the treasury, because it is the pryce of bloude.

¹¹ But ye saye a man shall saye to father or mother Corban: whiche is, that thou desirest me to helpe the with, is geuen God. ¹² And so ye suffer him no more to do ought for his father or his mother, ¹³ makynge the worde of God of none effect, thorowe youre owne tradicions, which you haue ordeyned. And many suche thinges ye do.

⁴¹ And Iesus sat ouer agaynst the treasurye, and behelde howe the people put money into the treasurye. And many that were ryche, cast in muche. ⁴² And there came a certayne poore wydowe, and she threwe in two mites, which make a farthynge. ⁴³ And he called vnto hym hys discyples, and sayde vnto them. Verely I saye vnto you, that thys poore wydowe hath caste more in, then all they whiche haue caste into the treasury. ⁴⁴ For they all dyd caste in of theyr superfluyte, but she of her pouertye dyd cast in all that she had, euen all her liuinge.

²⁰ These wordes spake Iesus in the treasury, as he taught in the temple, and no man layde handes on hym, for hys tyme was not yet come.
