¹⁸ but he that kylleth a beaste shall paye for it, beast for beast.

³⁴ the owner of the pytte shall make it good and geue money vnto their master, and the dead beast shalbe hys. ³⁵ If one mans oxe hurte anothers that he dye, then they shal sell the lyue oxe & deuyde the money, & the dead oxe also they shall deuide. ³⁶ But & if it be knowen that the oxe hathe vsed to pusshe in tymes past, then because his master hath not kept hym, he shall paye oxe for oxe, and the dead shalbe hys owne.
