¹² And Samson sayde vnto them: I wyll put furthe a ryddle vnto you. And yf you can declare it wythin .vij. dayes of the feast and fynde it out, I wyll geue you thyrtye shertes, and thyrtye chaunge of garmentes:

²⁷ Passe out this weke & then shal thys also be geuen the for the seruice which thou shalt serue me yet .vij. yeres more. ²⁸ And Iacob did euen so, & passed out that weke, & then he gaue him Rahel his doughter to wyfe also.

²² And he gaue vnto eche of them chaunge of rayment: but vnto BenIamin he gaue .iij. hundred peces of syluer & .v. chaunge of rayment.

¹ And the quene of Saba hearde of the wysdome of Salomon concernyng the name of the Lord, and came to proue hym wyth rydelles.

⁵ And the king of Siria sayde: go thy waye, and I will sende a letter vnto the kinge of Israel. And he went and toke with hym ten talentes of syluer, and .vi. thousand peces of gould, and then chaunge of raymentes.

²² And he sayde: yea. But my mayster hath sente me, sayinge: se there be two younge men come to me oute of Ephraim of the chyldren of the Prophetes: geue them I praye the, one talent of syluer, & a couple of good garmentes.

⁸ And Salomon kepte a feast the same ceason of seuen dayes, and all Israel with hym, an exceadynge great congregacyon, euen from Hemath vnto the ryuer of Egypte.

⁴ I will enclyne myne eare to the parable, and shewe my darke speach vpon the harpe.

⁶ he shalbe more apte to vnderstande a parable, & the interpretacion therof, the wordes of the wise, & the darke speaches of the same.

² Thou sonne of man: put forthe a darcke speakinge, and a parable, vnto the house of Israel,

⁴⁹ Then saide I: O Lord they will saye of me: Tush, they are but fables, that he telleth.

¹⁹ Se that ye gater you not treasure vpon the earth, where ruste & mothes corrupte, & wher theues breake throughe & steale.

¹³ Therfore speake I to them in similitudes: for though they se, they se not: and hearyng they heare not: neyther vnderstand.

³⁴ All these thynges spake Iesus vnto the people by similitudes, and withoute similitudes spake he nothyng to them,

²⁸ And they strypped him, and put on him a purpyll roobe,

⁵¹ And there folowed him a certayne yong man clothed in linnen vpon the bare, and the yong men caught him, ⁵² and he lefte hys linnen, and fleed from them naked.

⁷ He put forth a similitude to the gestes, when he marked howe they preased to the hyest roumes, and sayed vnto them:

²⁹ Hys disciples sayde vnto him: lo now speakest thou plainly, and thou vsest no prouerbe.

¹² Nowe we se in a glasse euen in a darke speakinge, but then shall we se face to face. Nowe I knowe vnperfectlye, but then shall I knowe euen as I am knowen.

² Youre ryches is corrupte youre garmentes are motheaten.
