⁵ Then the .v. kynges of the Amorites the kyng of Ierusalem, the kinge of Hebron, the kynge of Ierimoth, the kinge of Lachys, the kyng of Eglon, gathered them selues together, both they and all their hostes & wente vp and beseged Gabaon, and made warre agaynst it.

²⁸ Zela, Eleph, and the cytye of the Iebusites, whyche is Ierusalem, Gabaath, and Kariath, fourtene cytyes wyth theyr vyllages. Thys is the enherytaunce of the chyldren of Beniamin in their kynredes.

¹¹ And the tyme whiche Dauid raygned in Hebron ouer the house of Iuda, was .vij. yere & syxe monethes.

¹⁴ Whervpon Hezekiah kyng of Iuda sent to the kyng of Assyria to Lachis saying: I haue offended. But depart from me, and what thou putteste on me that wyll I beare. And the kynge of Assyria appoynted vnto Hezekiah kynge of Iuda thre hundred talentes of syluer, and thyrtye talentes of golde.

¹⁷ And the kinge of Assyrya sent Tarthan & Rabsaris & Rabsakeh from Lachis to kynge Hezekiah with a greate Host to Ierusalem. And they went vp & came to Ierusalem, & wente & stode by the conduyte of the vppermoste pole which is in the waye to the fullers felde,

⁹ Adurahim, Lachis and Asecah:

¹³ The greate noyse of the charettes shal feare them, that dwell at Lachis, whyche is an occasyon of the synne of the daughter of Sion, for in the came vp the wyckednesses of Israell.
