²⁰ Their owne destruccion and misery shall they se with their eyes, and dryncke of the fearfull wrath of the Almighty.

¹⁹ When the ryche man dyeth, he caried nothing with him: he is gone in the twinckelynge of an eye.

³ Thou hast shewed thy people heuy thinges, thou hast geuen vs a drynke of wyne, that we slombre with all.

⁸ For in the hand of the Lord ther is a cup full of strong wyne, and he poureth oute of the same: As for the dregges therof, al the vngodly of the earth shall dryncke them, and sucke them oute.

¹⁷ Awake, awake, and stande vp, O Ierusalem, thou that from the hande of the Lorde, hast droncken oute the cuppe of hys wrath, thou that hast supped of, and sucked oute the slombrynge cuppe to the bottome.

¹⁵ For thus hath the Lord God of Israel spoken vnto me: Take this wyne cuppe of indignacion fro my hande, that thou mayeste cause al the people, to whom I sende the, for to drincke of it: ¹⁶ that when they haue drouncken therof, they may be mad, and out of their wyttes, when the swearde commeth, that I wyll sende amonge them.

⁷ Babylon hath bene in the Lordes hande a golden cuppe, that maketh all landes droncken. Of her wyne haue all people droncken, therfore are they oute of theyr wyttes.

²³ And beynge in hell in tormentes, he lyfte vp hys eyes, and sawe Abraham a farre of, & Lazarus in his bosome,

¹⁰ the same shall drynke of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured in the cup of this wrath. And he shalbe punished in fyre & brimstone before the holy angels, and before the lambe.

¹⁵ & out of hys mouthe went out a sharpe swearde, that with it he should smyte the heathen. And he shal rule them wyth a rod of Iron, & he trode the wine fat of the fiercenes & wrath of almightye God.
