¹⁵ Lo, I wyll bryng a people vpon you from farre, O house of Israel (sayeth the Lorde) a myghtye people, and olde people, a people whose speache thou knowest not, neyther vnderstandest what they saye.

⁴⁹ And the Lord shal brynge a nacyon vpon the from a farre, euen from the ende of the world, as swyfte as an egle flyeth: a nacyon whose tonge thou shalt not vnderstande:

⁷ As for the vyneyarde of the Lorde of Hostes it is the house of Israel, & whole Iuda hys fayre plantynge. Of these he loked for equyte, but se there is wronge: for rightuousnesse, lo, It is but miserye.

²⁶ And he shall geue a token vnto a straunge people and call vnto them in a farre countrey: and beholde, they shall come hastelye wyth spede.

¹¹ And therfore the Lorde also shall speake wyth lispynge lippes and with a straunge language vnto this people to whome he spake afore of thys maner.

³ For I will laye sege to the rounde aboute, & kepe the in with towers, and graue vp dykes against the.

⁶ Thou shalte be vysyted of the Lorde of hostes with thondre, earthequake, & wyth a greate crack, with the whyrle wynde, tempeste, & with the flamme of a consumynge fyre.

¹⁹ There shalt thou not se a people of a straunge tounge to haue so diffused a language, that it may not be vnderstande: neyther so straunge a speache but it shall be perceyued.

¹⁵ For lo, I wil cal all the officers of the kingdomes of the north (saieth the Lorde.) And they shall come, and euery one shall set the seate in the gates of Ierusalem, and in al their walles round aboute and thorowe al the cytyes of Iuda.

²⁶ Lyke as a thefe that is taken with the dede commeth to shame, euen so is the house of Israell come to confusyon, the comen people their kynges and rulers, their priestes & prophetes.

¹⁶ Beholde, the Heathen geue Ierusalem warninge, and preache vnto her, that her destroyers are comming from farre countrees. They tell the cities of Iuda the same also,

¹¹ For vnfaythfully hath the house of Israell and Iuda forsaken me, (sayth the Lorde).

²² Moreouer thus sayeth the Lorde: Behold, there shall come a people from the North, and a greate people shall aryse from the endes of the earthe,

²⁶ The Egypcians, the Iewes, the Edomytes, the Ammonytes, the Moabites, and the shauen Madyanites, that dwell in the wildernes. For all the Gentyles are vncyrcumcysed in the fleshe, but all the house of Israell are vncyrcumcysed in the herte.

⁹ lo, I wyll sende out, call for all the people, that dwell in the North, sayeth the Lorde, and will prepayre Nabuchodonosor the kynge of Babylon my seruaunt, and will bringe them vpon this lande, & vpon all that dwell therin, and vpon all the people that are aboute them, & will vtterly rote them oute. I wyll make of them a wyldernesse, a mockage and a continuall deserte.

³¹ Caste awaye from you all your vngodlinesse, that ye haue done: make you new hertes and a new spirit. Wherfore will ye dye, O ye house of Israel?

³⁷ O kynge, thou arte a kynge of kynges: For the God of heauen hath geuen the a kyngdome, ryches, strengthe and maiestye: ³⁸ & hathe delyuered the all thynges, that are amonge the children of men: the beastes of the feld, and the foules vnder the heauen, and geuen the dominyon ouer them al. Thou arte that golden head.

⁷ After this I sawe in a vision by night, and beholde, the fourthe beast was grymme and horrible, and maruelous strong. It had great yron teeth, it deuoured and destroyed, and stamped the resydue vnder hys fete. It was farre vnlyke the other beastes, that were before it: for it had ten hornes, whereof I toke good hede.

⁵ Beholde, amonge the Heathen, & loke well: wondre at it, and be abashed: for I wyll do a thynge in youre tyme, whiche thoughe it be tolde you, ye shall not beleue. ⁶ For lo, I wyll rase vp the Caldees, that bitter and swifte people: whiche shall go as wyde as the land is, to take possessyon of dwellyng places, that be not theyr owne. ⁷ A grymme and boysteours people is it, these shall sit in iudgement, and punish. ⁸ Their horses are swifter then the cattes of the mountayne, & byte sorer then the wolues in the euenynge. Theyr horsmen come by greate heapes from farre, they fle hastely to deuour as the Aegle. ⁹ They come all to spoyle: oute of them commeth an easte wynde, whiche bloweth and gathereth theyr captyues, lyke as the sande. ¹⁰ They shall mocke the kynges, and laughe the princes to scorne. They shal not set by any stronge holde, for they shall laye ordynaunce agaynst it, and take it.

⁹ And se that ye once thinke not to saye in your selues, we haue Abraham to our father. For I say vnto you, that God is able of these stones rayse vp children vnto Abraham. ¹⁰ Euen now is the axe put vnto the rote of the trees: so that euerye tre which bringeth not forth good fruit, is hewen doun & cast into the fire.

²¹ In the lawe it is written, wyth other tounges, and with other lippes wyl I speake vnto thys people, and yet for al that wil they not heare me, sayeth the Lorde.
