⁸ And then went vp to the valeye of the sonne of Hennon, euen vnto the southsyde of the Iebusites the enhabitoures of Ierusalem. And then went vp to the toppe of the hylle, that lyeth before the valeye of Hennon westwarde, and by the edge of the valeye of Raphaim northwarde:

¹⁰ And he defyled Topheth also, whiche is the valeye of the children of Hennom, because noman shoulde offer hys sonne or hys doughter in fyre to Moloch:

³ And he offered cense in the valeye of the children of Hennon, and burnt his children in fyre after the abhominacyon of the nacyons which the Lord cast out before the chyldren of Israel.

⁶ And he burnt his chyldren in fyre in the valey of the sonnes of Hennon. And he obserued dysmalle dayes & occupyed wytch crafte and sorsery, and mayntened workers with spirites & fears of fortunes: & wrought moche euell in the syght of the Lorde, to angre hym wyth all.

²⁹ After them buylded Zadock the sonne of Emer ouer agaynste hys house. After hym buylded Semeiah the sonne of Sechaniah the keper of the eastgate.

²⁰ Wisdome crieth without, & putteth forth her voyce in the stretes. ²¹ She calleth before the congregacion in the open gates, & sheweth her wordes thorow the citie, saying: ²² O ye chyldren, how longe will ye loue chyldyshnesse? how long wil the, scorners delite in scorning & the vnwise be enemies vnto knowlege?

⁷ And the Lorde answered me thus: Saye not so, I am to younge. For thou shalt go to al that I shall sende the vnto, and whatsoeuer I commaund the, that shalt thou speake.

¹² and therfore go preache these wordes towarde the North, and saye: Thou shrenkinge Israel, turne agayne (sayeth the Lord) and I wyll not turne my face from you, for I am mercyfull, sayeth the Lorde, and I will not alwaye beare displeasure agaynste the:

² Stande vnder the gates of the Lordes house & crye oute these wordes there, wt a loude voyce, and saye: Heare the worde of the Lorde all ye of Iuda, that go in at thys dore, to honoure the Lord.

³¹ They haue also buylded an aulter at Topheth, which is in the valley of the chyldren of Hennom: that they might burne theyr sonnes and doughters, whiche I neuer commaunded them, neyther came it euer in my thought. ³² And therfore beholde, the dayes shall come (sayeth the Lorde) that it shall no more be called Topheth, or the valleye of the chyldren of Hennom, but the valleye of the slayne, for in Topheth, they shall be buryed because they shall els haue no roume.

⁶ Then the Lorde sayde vnto me agayne: preache this in the cytyes of Iuda & round about Ierusalem, & saye: Heare the wordes of this conuenaunt, that ye maye kepe them.

² Thus sayeth the Lorde: Stand in the courte of the Lordes house, and speake vnto all them whiche (oute of the cyties of Iuda) come to do worshyppe in the Lordes house, all the wordes that I commaunde the to saye. Loke that thou kepe not one worde backe,

³⁵ They haue buylded hyr places for Baal in the valleye of the children of Heunom, to vow their sonnes and doughters vnto Moloch: whiche I neuer commaunded them, neyther came it euer in my thought, to make Iuda sinne with suche abnominacion.

¹⁰ He sayde moreouer vnto me: thou sonne of man, take dylygent hede wyth thyne eares, to the wordes that I speake vnto the, fasten them in thyne herte: ¹¹ and go to the presoners of thy people, speake vnto them, and saye on this maner: Thus the Lorde God hath spoken: whether ye heare, or heare not.
