²⁵ Therfore hath he poured vpon vs hys wrathfull dyspleasure, & stronge batell, whiche maketh vs haue to do on euery syde, yet wyll we not vnderstande: He burneth vs vp, yet syncketh it not in to oure hertes.

¹⁵ or if ye shal despise myne ordinaunces either if youre Soule refuse my lawes, so that ye wyl not do al my commaundementes, but shal breake myne appoyntmente: ¹⁶ then I wyll do this agayne vnto you: I wyl viset you with vexacions, swellinge & feuers, that shall make your eyes dasel, & wt sorowes of herte. And ye shall sowe your seede in vayne, for youre enemyes shall eate it. ¹⁷ And I wyll sette my face agaynst you & ye shall fal before youre enemyes, & they that hate you shall raygne ouer you, and ye shall flee when no man foloweth you. ¹⁸ And if ye wyl not yet for all thys herken vnto me, then wil I punyshe you seuen times more for youre synnes, ¹⁹ and wyll breake the pride of your strength. For I wyll make the heauen ouer you as harde as yron, & youre lande as harde as brasse. ²⁰ And so youre labour shall be spent in vayne. For your land shal not gyue hyr encrease, neyther the trees of the land shal gyue their fruites. ²¹ And if ye walke contrarye vnto me and wyll not herken vnto me, I wyll brynge seuen tymes mo plages vpon you accordyng to your synnes. ²² I wyl send in wyld beastes vpon you, whyche shall robbe you of your chyldren & destroy your cattell, & make you so fewe in numbre that your hye wayes shal grow vnto a wyldernes. ²³ And if ye wyll not be learned yet for all thys but shall walke contrary vnto me, ²⁴ then wyll I also walke contrarye vnto you and wyll punyshe you yet seuen times for your synnes. ²⁵ I wyl send a swerd vpon you, that shall auenge my testament wyth you. And when ye are fledde vnto your cityes, I wyll sende the pestilence amonge you, ye shal be deliuered into the handes of your enemies. ²⁶ And when I haue broken the staffe of your bread: that .x. wyues shall bake your breade in one ouen and men shall deliuer you youre bread agayne by wayght, then shall ye eate and not be satisfied. ²⁷ And if ye wyll not yet for all thys herken vnto me, but shal walke contrary vnto me, ²⁸ then I wyll walke contrarye vnto you also wrathfullye and wyll also chastyce you seuen tymes for youre synnes: ²⁹ so that ye shall eate the flesh of your sonnes & the fleshe of youre daughters. ³⁰ And I wyll destroy your alters bylt vpon hye hylles, and ouerthrow youre images and caste youre carkasses vpon the bodyes of your idolles, and my soule shall abhorre you. ³¹ And I wyl make your cityes desolate, and brynge your sanctuaries vnto nought, and wyll not smel the sauoures of your swete odoures. ³² And I wyl brynge the lande vnto a wyldernesse: so that your enemies whych dwell therin shal wonder at it. ³³ And I wyl strawe you among the Heathen, and wyl draw out a swerde after you, and youre land shal be waste, and your cityes desolate. ³⁴ Then the Lande shall reioyce in hyr Sabbothes, as longe as it lyeth voyde and ye in youre enemyes lande: euen then shal the Lande kepe holy day and reioyce in hir Sabbothes. ³⁵ And as longe as it lyeth voyde it shall rest, for that it could not rest in your Sabothes, when ye dwelt therin. ³⁶ And vpon them that are left a liue of you I wyl sende a fayntnes into theyr hertes, in all the land of their enemies: so that the sound of a leaf that falleth, shall chase them & they shall flee as though they fled a swerde, and shall fal, no man folowyng them. ³⁷ And they shal fal, one vpon another, as it were before a swerde, euen no man folowyng them, and ye shal haue no power to stand before your enemies. ³⁸ And ye shall peryshe amonge the Heathen, and the land of your enemies shal eate you vp. ³⁹ And they that are lefte of you, shall pyne away in theyr vnryghtuousnes, euen in their enymyes lande, and also in the misdedes of their fathers shall they consume. ⁴⁰ And they shall confesse theyr misdeades and the mysdeades of theyr fathers in theyr trespaces, which they haue trespaced agaynst me, & for that also that they haue walked contrary to me. ⁴¹ Therfore I also wyl walke contrarye vnto them, and wyl brynge theym into the lande of theyr enemies. And then at the least waye theyr vncircumcised hertes shalbe tamed, & then they shall make an atonement for theyr mysdeades. ⁴² And I wyl remembre my bond with Iacob, and my testament wyth Isaac, and my testament wyth Abraham, and wyll thynke on the lande. ⁴³ For the Lande shall be lefte of them and shall haue pleasure in hyr Sabbothes, whyle she lyeth wast wythout them, & they shall make on atonement for theyr misdeades, bicause they despised my lawes and theyr soules refused mine ordinaunces. ⁴⁴ And yet for all that when they be in the Lande of their enemy, I wyll not so cast them away nor my soule shal not so abhorre them, that I wyll vtterlye destroye theym and breake myne appoyntment with them: for I am the Lord theyr God. ⁴⁵ I wyl therfore remembre vnto them the fyrst couenaunte made, when I brought them out of the Lande of Egypte in the syght of the Heathen to be their God: for I am the Lorde. ⁴⁶ These are the ordinaunces, iudgmentes, & lawes whych the Lord made betwene hym and the chyldren of Israell in mount Sinai by the hand of Moses.

²² For fyre is kindeled in my wrath, and shal burne vnto the bottome of hell. And shall consume the earth wyth hyr encrease, & set a fyre the bottomes of the mountaines.

⁹ and burnte the house of the Lorde and the kynges house, and all the houses of Ierusalem, and al greate houses burnte he wyth fyre,

⁵ Lorde, howe longe wylt thou be angrye? shall thy ielousy burne lyke fyre for euer? ⁶ Poure oute thyne indignacyon vpon the Heathen that knowe the not, and vpon the Kyngdomes that call not vpon thy name.

¹³ For the people turneth not vnto hym, that chastyseth them, nether do they seke the Lorde of Hostes.

¹³ Therfor thus sayth the Lord: For so much as thys people draweth nye me with theyr mouthe, and prayseth me hyghlye wyth theyr lyppes (where as theyr herte neuerthelesse is farre from me, & the feare which they owe vnto me, that turne they to mens lawes and doctrynes)

⁷ & thou thoughtest thus. I shalbe lady for euer. And desyde all that, thou hast not regarded these thinges, nether cast, what shuld come after.

¹ Bvt in the meane season the righteous perysheth, and no man regardeth it in his herte. Good godly people are taken awaye, and noman consydreth it. Namely: that the righteous is conuayed awaye thorowe the wicked,

¹¹ For when wilt thou be abashed or fear seinge: thou hast broken thy promise, and remembrest not me, neyther hast me in thyne herte? Thinkest thou, that I also will holde my peace (as a fore tyme) that thou fearest me not?

³ Where as thou (O Lorde) lokest only vpon faythe and truthe. Thou hast scourged them, but they toke no repentaunce: thou hast correcte them for amendement, but they refused thy correccion. They made their faces harder then a stone, and woulde not amende.

⁸ Therfore, I will shortly poure out my sore displeasure ouer the, and fulfyll my wrath vpon the. I will iudge the after thy wayes, and recompence the all thy abhominacyons. ⁹ Myne eye shall not ouerse the, nether will I spare the: but rewarde the after thy wayes, and shewe thy abhomynacions, to learne you for to knowe, how that I am the Lorde that smyteth.

³⁴ and wyll brynge you out of the nacyons and landes, wherin ye are scatred: and gather you together wyth a myghtye hande, with a stretched oute arme and with indignacyon poured out vpon you:

²¹ I will bringe you together, and kindle the fyre of my cruel displeasure vnder you, that ye may be melted therin. ²² Lyke as the syluer is melted in the fyre, so shal ye also be melted therin, that ye may know, how that I the Lord haue poured my wrath vpon you.

⁹ straungers haue deuoured his strength, yet he regardeth it not: he waxeth ful of gray hearres: yet will he not know it,

⁶ Who maye endure before his wrath? Or who is able to abyde hys gryme displeasure? His anger taketh on lyke fyre, and the harde rockes burst in sunder before hym.

² yf ye wyll not heare it, nor regarde it, to geue the glorye vnto my name, sayeth the lorde of hostes, I wyll sende a curse vpon you, and wyl cursle your blessinges: yea, curse them wil I yf ye do not take hede.

¹⁸ And of these .iij. was the thirde parte of men kylled, that is to say, of fyre, smoke, and brymstone, whych proceded out of the mouthes of them. ¹⁹ For theyr power was in their mouthes and in theyr tayles, for theyr tayles were lyke vnto serpentes, and had heades, and wyth them they dyd hurt. ²⁰ And the remnaunt of the men which were not kylled by these plages, repented not of the dedes of their handes, that they should not worship deuyls, and Images of gold, and syluer, and brasse, and stone, and of wood, whych neyther can se, neyther heare, neyther go. ²¹ Also they repented not of theyr murther, and of theyr sorcery, neyther of their fornicacion, neither of their thefte.

¹ And I hearde a great voice out of the temple saying to the .vij. angels: go youre wayes, poure out your vialles of wrath vpon the earth. ² And the fyrste wente and poured out his vial vpon the earth, and there fel a noisome and a sore botche vpon the men, which had the marke of the beaste, & vpon them whiche worshipped his ymage. ³ And the seconde angel shed oute his vial vpon the sea, & it turned as it were into the bloud of a dead man, & euery liuing thing dyed in the sea. ⁴ And the thyrde angel shed out his vial vpon the riuers & fountaines of waters & they turned to bloud. ⁵ And I heard an angel say: Lord which art & wast, thou art rightuous & holy, because thou hast geuen such iudgementes, ⁶ for they shed out the bloud of sainctes, & prophetes, & therfore hast thou geuen them bloud to drinke, for they are worthy. ⁷ And I heard another out of the aulter saye, euen so Lord God almyghty, true, and ryghtuous are thy iudgementes. ⁸ And the fourth angel poured out his vial on the sunne, & power was geuen vnto hym to vexe men with heate of fire. ⁹ And the men raged in great heate, & spake euyl of the name of God which hath power ouer those plages, & they repented not, to geue him glory. ¹⁰ And the fyfte angel poured out his vial vpon the seate of the beast, & his kingdome waxed darcke, & they gnew their tounges for sorowe, ¹¹ & blasphemed the God of heauen for sorowe and payne of their sores, and repented not of theyr dedes. ¹² And the .vi. aungel poured out hys vyall vpon the great riuer Euphrates, & the water dried vp that the wayes of the kynges of the este should be prepared. ¹³ And I sawe thre vncleane sprytes, lyke frogges come out of the mouth of the dragon and out of the mouth of the beast, & out of the mouth of the false prophete. ¹⁴ For they are the spirites of deuils working miracles to go out vnto the kinges of the earth, & to the whole worlde to gather them to the batayle of the greate daye of God almighty. ¹⁵ Beholde I come as a thefe. Happye is he that watcheth & kepeth his garmentes, least he be founde naked, and men se hys filthynes. ¹⁶ And he gathered them together into a place, called in the Hebrue tonge Armagedon. ¹⁷ And the .vij. angel poured out his vial into the aire. And there came a voice out of heauen from the seate, sayinge: it is done. ¹⁸ And there folowed voices thonderinges & lighteninges, & there was a greate earth quake suche as was not sence men were vpon the earth so mighty an earthquake & so great. ¹⁹ And the greate city was deuided into thre parties, & the cyties of al nacions fel. And great Babilon came in remembraunce before God, to geue vnto her the cup of the wine of the fyercenes of his wrath. ²⁰ Euery Ile fleed away, & the mountaines were not founde. ²¹ And there fell a greate hayle, as it had bene talentes, out of heauen vpon the men, & the men blasphemed God, because of the plage of the haile, for it was great, & the plage of it sore?
