¹² that they myght sowe vnto righteousnes, and reape the frutes of weldoynge that they might plowe vp their fresh lande, & seke the Lorde, tyll he came, and learned them ryghteousnes.

⁶ He shall come doune lyke the rayne into a fleise of wolle, & like the droppes that water the earth.

⁴ Seke the Lord, and his strength, seke his face euermore.

⁵ They that sowe in teares, shall reape in ioye. ⁶ He that now goeth in hys waye wepyng and beareth forthe good sede, shall come agayne with ioye, & bryng hys sheaues wyth hym.

¹⁸ The labour of the vngodly prospereth not, but he that soweth righteousnes, shal receyue a sure rewarde.

²¹ Death & lyfe stand in the power of the tong, he that loueth it shal enioy the frute thereof.

⁶ Cease not thou therefore with thy handes to sowe thy sede, whether it be in the mornynge or in the euenynge: for thou knoweste not whether this or that shall prospere, and if they both take, it is the better.

⁶ I wyl laye it waste, that it shall neyther be twisted nor cut, but beare thornes and breares. I wil also forbydde the cloudes, that they shall not raine vpon it.

²³ Then wyll he geue rayne to the sede that ye shall sowe in the earthe, and geue you bread of the encrease of the earthe, so that all shalbe plentuous and aboundaunt. Thy cattel also shall he fede in the brode medowes,

¹ Wo be vnto them that go doune into Egypte for help, and trust in horses, & comforte themselues in charettes, because they be many, & in horse men because they be lusty & strong. But they regarde not the holy one of Israel, and they aske no question at the Lorde.

²⁰ O how happy shall ye be, when ye shall safely sowe youre sede besyde all waters and dryue thyther the fete of youre oxen and asses.

³ For I shall pouer water vpon the drye grounde and ryuers vpon the thurstye. I shall poure my sprete vpon thy sede, and myne encerase vpon thy stocke.

⁸ The heauens aboue shall droppe downe, & the cloudes shall rayne ryghtuousnes. The earth shall open it self, & brynge forth health, & therby shall ryghtuousnes florishe. Euen I the Lorde shall brynge it to passe.

⁶ Seke the Lorde, whyle he maye be founde, & call vpon hym whyle he is nye.

³ For thus sayeth the Lorde, to al Iuda and Ierusalem: plowe your lande, and sowe not amonge the thornes. ⁴ Be circumcised in the Lorde, and cut away the foreskinne of youre hertes, all ye of Iuda and all the indwellers of Ierusalem: that my indignacion breake not oute like fyre & kindle so that no man may quenche it, because of the wickednes of youre ymaginacions.

¹² Ye shal crye vnto me, ye shall go & call vpon me, & I shall heare you. ¹³ Ye shall seke me & fynde me, Yea, yf so be that ye seke me with your whole herte, ¹⁴ I wyl be founde of you (sayeth the Lord) & wil delyuer you out of preson, & gather you together agayne oute of all places, wherein I haue scatred you, sayeth the Lord: & wil bring you agayne to the same place, from whence I caused you to be caryed awaye captyue.

⁴ In those dayes & at that time sayeth the Lorde, the children of Israell shall come, they and the children of Iuda, wepyng & makinge haste, and shall seke the Lord their God.

²⁶ Good fortune and prosperyte wil I geue them, and vnto all that be rounde aboute my hyll. A prosperous shower and rayne wil I sende them in due season,

³ Then shall we haue vnderstanding, and endeuoure oure selues to knowe the Lorde. He shall go forth as the springe of the daye, & come vnto vs as the eueninge and morninge rayne vpon the earth.

⁷ They haue sown wind therfore shall they reape a storme. Their sede shal beare no corne, there shal no meel be made of their increase: thoughe they reape, yet shall straungers deuoure it vp.

⁶ Then turne to thy God, kepe mercye and equyte, and hope still in thy God.

⁴ Neuerthelesse, thus sayth the Lorde vnto the house of Israel: Seke after me, and ye shall lyue,

⁶ Seke the Lorde, that ye maye lyue, leste the house of Ioseph be brente with fyre, and consumed, & lest there be none to quenche Bethel.

⁸ The Lorde maketh the seuen starres and the Dryons, he turneth the nighte into daye, and of the daye he maketh darcknesse. He calleth the waters of the sea, and poureth them oute vpon the playne grounde: the Lorde is hys name:

¹⁵ Hate the euil, and loue the good: set vp right agayne in the porte: & (no doute) the Lorde God of hostes shal be mercyful vnto the remnaunt of Ioseph,

¹ Come together & gather you, O froward people, ² or the thing go forthe that is concluded, & or the tyme be passed awaye as the duste: or the fearefull wrath of the Lorde come vpon you, ³ yea or the daye of the Lordes sore dyspleasure come vpon you. Seke the Lorde all ye meke herted vpon earth, ye that worcke after hys iudgemente, seke ryghtuousnesse: seke lowlynesse, that ye maye be defended in the wrothfull daye of the Lorde.

²⁴ stryue with your selues to enter in at the strayte gate: For manye I saye vnto you wyl seke to enter in, & shal not be able.

¹⁸ And on my seruauntes and on my handmaydens, I wyll pour out of my spirite in those dayes, and they shall prophesye.

⁶ I haue planted, Apollo watred: but God gaue the increase. ⁷ So then neyther is he that planteth anye thinge neyther he that watreth: but God that gaue the increase.

¹⁸ yea, & the frute of ryghtuousnes is sowen in peace, of them that maintayne peace.
