¹ And it came to passe that Isaac wexed olde and hys eyes were dymme, so that he coulde not see. Then called he Esau his eldest sonne & sayed vnto him: my sonne. And he sayd vnto hym: here am I.

²³ And the Lorde sayed vnto hyr: there are two maner of people in thy wombe, & two nations shall spryng out of thy bowels, and the one nation shal be mightyer then the other, & the eldest shalbe seruant vnto the yonger. ²⁴ And when hir tyme was come to be deliuered: behold there were two twynes in hir wombe. ²⁵ And he that came out fyrst was redde & rough ouer al as it were an hyde: and they called hys name Esau.

¹⁰ And the eyes of Israel were dymme for age, so that he coulde not well see. And he brought them to hym, and he kyssed them and embraced them.

² And it chaunsed at that tyme, that Eli laye in his place, & his eyes began to waxe dimme, that he could not se.

³ when the kepers of the house shall tremble, & when the strong men shall bowe them selfes: when the myllers stande styll, because they be so fewe, & when the sight of the wyndowes shal waxe dymme:

³ Iesus aunswered: Neyther hath thys man synned nor yet hys father and mother: but that the workes of God shoulde be shewed on him.
