¹³ Brethren ye were called into lybertye onelye let not youre lybertye be an occasyon vnto the fleshe, but in loue serue one another.

¹ The spirite of the Lorde God is with me, for the Lorde hath annointed me, & sent me, to preache good tydinges vnto the poore, that I myght binde vp the wounded hertes, that I myght preach delyueraunce to the captyue, and open the preson to them that are bounde:

⁴³ So shall it not be among you, but whosoeuer of you wil be great among you shalbe your minister. ⁴⁴ And whosoeuer wilbe chiefe, shalbe seruaunt vnto al. ⁴⁵ For euen the sonne of man came not to be mynystred vnto, but to minister & to geue hys lyfe for the redempcyon of many.

¹⁸ The spyryte of the Lorde vpon me, because he hath anointed me: to preache the gospell to the poore he hath sent me, and to heale the broken herted, to preache deliueraunce to the captiue, and syght to the blynde, and frely to set at lyberte them that are brused,

³² and shal know the truth, and the truthe shall make you free. ³³ They aunswered hym. We be Abrahams seede, and were neuer bonde to any man: why sayest thou then: ye shalbe made, fre? ³⁴ Iesus aunswered them: verelye, verelye I say vnto you, that whosoeuer committeth synne ³⁵ is the seruaunte of synne. And the seruaunte abydeth not in the house for euer. ³⁶ But the sonne abydeth euer. Yf the sonne therfore shal make you fre, then are ye free in dede.

¹⁴ Yf I then your lord and mayster haue washed your fete, ye also ought to wash one anothers fete. ¹⁵ For I haue geuen you an ensample, that ye shoulde do as I haue done to you.

³⁵ I haue shewed you all thinges, how that so laborynge ye ought to receyue the weake & to remember the wordes of the lorde Iesu, how that he sayde: it is more blessed to geue then to receyue.

¹⁸ Ye are then made fre from sinne, & are become the seruauntes of rightuousnes. ¹⁹ I will speake grossely because of the infirmitie of youre fleshe. As ye haue geuen your members seruauntes to vnclennes and to iniquitie: from iniquitie vnto iniquitie: euen so now geue your membres seruauntes vnto rightuousnes, that ye may be sanctifyed. ²⁰ For when ye were the seruauntes of synne, ye were not vnder rightuousnes. ²¹ What fruit had ye then in those thynges, where of ye are nowe ashamed. For the ende of those thynges is deathe. ²² But nowe are ye deliuered from synne, and made the seruauntes of God, and haue youre fruyte that ye shoulde be sanctified, & the ende euerlastynge lyfe.

¹ We whiche are strong, ought to beare the fraylnes of them whiche are weake, and not to stande in our owne conceptes. ² Let euery man please his neyghboure vnto his wealth and edifiynge.

⁹ But take hede that your libertye cause not the weake to faule.

¹⁹ For though I be fre from all men, yet haue I made my selfe seruaunte vnto all men, that I myght winne the mo.

⁴ Loue suffreth longe, and is curteous. Loue enuieth not. Loue doth not frowardelye, swelleth not, dealeth not dishonestlye, ⁵ seketh not her owne, is not prouoketh to anger, thinketh not euil, ⁶ reioiceth not in iniquitie: but reioiseth in the trueth, ⁷ suffreth all thinge, beleueth all thinges, hopeth al thinges, endureth in all thinges.

⁵ For we preache not oure selues, but Christ Iesus to be the Lorde, and oure selues youre seuauntes for Iesus sake.

¹⁵ I wyll very gladly bestowe, and wyll be bestowed for youre soules: thoughe the more I loue you, the lesse I am loued agayne.

⁵ to redeme them which were vnder the lawe: that we thorowe eleccyon myght receyue the enheritaunce that belongeth vnto the naturall sonnes. ⁶ Because ye are sonnes, God hath sent the spyryte of hys sonne into our hertes, whiche cryeth Abba father. ⁷ Wherfore now thou art not a seruaunt but a sonne. Yf thou be the sonne, thou arte also the heyre of God thorowe Christe.

²² For it is writen, that Abraham had two sonnes, the one by a bonde mayd the other by a fre woman.

¹⁴ For all the lawe is fulfylled in one worde: whiche is thys: thou shalte loue thyne neyghboure as thy selfe.

²² But the frute of the spiryte, is loue, ioye peace, longe sufferynge, gentylnes, goodnes, faithfulnes,

² Beare ye one anothers burthen, and so fulfyl the lawe of christ.

²¹ submittinge your selues one to another in the feare of God.

³ wythoute ceasinge, and cal to remembraunce your worke the fayth, and laboure in loue & perseueraunce in the hope of our Lord Iesus Christ, in the syght of God oure father,

¹⁵ If a brother or a sister be naked or destitute of dayly fode, ¹⁶ and one of you saye vnto them: Departe in peace, God sende you warmnes and fode: not wyth standynge ye geue them not those thynges which are nedefull to the bodye: what helpeth it them? ¹⁷ Euen so faythe, yf it haue no dedes is dead in it selfe.

¹⁶ as fre, and not as hauynge the lybertye for a cloke of maliciousnes, but euen as the seruauntes of God.

¹⁹ They promis them libertie, and are them selues the bonde seruauntes of corrupcyon. For of whomsoeuer a man is ouer come, vnto the same is he in bondage.

¹⁶ Hereby perceyue we loue, that he gaue hys lyfe for vs, & therfore oughte we also to geue our lyues for the brethren. ¹⁷ Whosoeuer hath this worldes good, and seeth his brother haue nede, and shutteth vp his compassion from him, howe dwelleth the loue of God in hym? ¹⁸ My babes, let vs not loue in worde neyther in tonge, but wyth the dede and in veryty: ¹⁹ For therby we know that we are of the verytye, and can before him quyete oure hertes.

⁴ For there are certayne craftely crept in, of which it was wrytten afore tyme vnto suche iudgement. They are vngodlye & turne the grace of oure God vnto wantonnes, and denye God the onelye Lorde, and oure Lord Iesus Christe.

¹⁰ But these speake euyl of those thynges they know not, and what thynges they knowe naturally as beastes which are wythout reason, in those thynges they corrupte them selues. ¹¹ Wo be vnto them, for they haue folowed the waye of Cayn, and are vtterlye geuen to the errour of Balam for lukers sake, and peryshe in the treason of Core. ¹² These are spottes which of youre kyndnes feast together, wythoute feare, fedyng themselues. Cloudes they are wythout water, caryed aboute of wyndes, and trees wythout frute at gatherynge tyme, twyse dead & plucked vp by rotes.
