² And Moyses went hym selfe alone vnto the Lord, but they came not nye, neyther came the people vp with hym.

²¹ And the people stode a farre of, & Moses went into the thicke cloude where God was

¹³ Then Moyses rose vp & his minister Iosua, and Moyses went vppe into the hyll of God,

¹⁵ When Moyses was come vp into the mount a cloude couered the hyll,

¹⁸ And Moyses went into the mountayne. And Moyses was in the mounte .xl. dayes. and .xl. nyghtes.

⁵ and spake vnto Corath and vnto al his company sayinge: to morow the Lorde wyll shewe who is hys and who is holy, and wil take theim vnto hym, and whom soeuer he hath chosen, he wyl cause to come to hym.

²¹ A captayne also shall come of them, and a prince shall sprynge oute from the myddest of them: hym wyll I chalenge to my self, and he shall come vnto me. For what is he, that geueth ouer hys herte to come vnto me, sayth the Lorde.

¹⁹ Beholde, lyke as the Lyon commeth vp from the pleasaunt medowes of Iordane vnto the grene pastures of Etham, so wyll I dryue hym, and make hym runne agaynste her. But who is the yongeman that I wyll ordeyne thereto? Who is lyke vnto me? What is he that wyll stryue wyth me? What shepherde may stande in my handes?

²⁴ For Christe is not entred into the holye places that are made wyth handes, whiche are but simylytudes of true thynges: but is entred into verye heauen, for to appere nowe in the syghte of God for vs:

²¹ And seynge also that we haue an hye pryest which is ruler ouer the house of God ²² let vs draw nye wyth a true herte in a full fayth, sprynkeled in our hertes from an euyl conscyence, and washed in our bodyes wyth pure water,
