³ Ye shall eate no maner of abhomination.

⁴³ Make not youre soules abominable wyth nothyng that crepeth, nether make your soules vncleane wt them: that ye shuld be defyled therby.

²⁵ that ye shulde put difference betwene cleane beastes and vncleane, and betwene vncleane foules and them that are cleane. Make not your soules therfore abhominable with beastes and foules, & with al maner thing that crepeth vpon the ground, whych I haue separated vnto you to holde them vncleane.

⁴ they lurcke amonge the graues, and lye in the dennes all nyght. They eat swyne fleshe, and vncleane broth is in their vessels.

¹⁴ Then sayde I: Oh Lorde God. Beholde, my soule was yet neuer stayned: for fro my youth vp vnto this houre. I did neuer eate of a deed carcase, or of that whiche was slayne of wylde beastes, nether cam there euer eny vncleane flesh in my mouth.

¹² wherin were all maner of .iiij. foted beastes of the earth, and vermen and wormes, and foules of the ayer. ¹³ And ther came a voyce to hym: ryse Peter kyll and eate. ¹⁴ But Peter sayed: God forbydde Lorde, for I haue neuer eaten anye thynge that is comen or vncleane.

¹⁴ For I knowe and am ful certifyed in the Lorde Iesus, that there is nothynge comen of it selfe, but vnto hym that iudgeth it to be commen: to hym is it comen.

²⁸ But and yf anye man saye vnto you: this is dedicate vnto Idols, eate not of it for his sake that sheweth it, and for hurtyng of conscience (The earth is the Lordes, & al that therin is)

¹⁵ Vnto the pure are all thynges pure, but vnto them that are defyled and vnbeleuynge, is nothynge pure: but euen the very myndes and consciences of them are defyled.
