⁹ And thou Salomon my sonne: knowe God thy father, and serue hym with a pure hert, and lust of soule. For the Lorde searcheth all hertes, and vnderstandeth all the Imaginacyons of thoughtes. If thou shalte seke hym, he wylbe founde of the: But & yf thou forsake hym, he wyll caste the of for euer.

³⁴ And from thence forth shall no man teache his neyghboure or his brother, and say know the Lorde: But they shall all knowe me, from the loweste vnto the hyeste, sayeth the Lorde. For I wyll forgeue theyr mysdedes, and wil neuer remembre theyr sinnes any more.

⁷ And the remnaunt of Iacob shalbe amonge the multytude of people, as the dewe of the Lorde, and as the droppes vpon the grasse, that tarieth for no man, & wayteth of no body. ⁸ Yee the resydue of Iacob shalbe amonge the Gentyles and the multitude of people, as the lyon amonge the beastes of the wod, and as the Lyons whelpe amonge a flocke of shepe: whyche (when he goeth thorowe) treadeth downe, teareth in peces, and there is no man that can helpe. ⁹ Thyne hande shalbe lyft vp vpon thyne enemyes, and all thyne aduersaries shall perish.

¹⁵ Maruelous thinges wyll I shewe them, lyke as when they came oute of Egypte. ¹⁶ This shall the heathen se, and be ashamed for all theyr power, so that they shal laye theyr hande vpon theyr mouthe, and stoppe theyr eares. ¹⁷ They shal licke the dust lyke a serpente, & as the wormes of the earthe that tremble in theyr holes. ¹³ For Iuda haue I bent out as a bowe for me, and Ephraim haue I fylled Thy sonnes (O Sion) will I rase vp againste the Grekes, & make the as a giauntes swearde: ¹⁴ the Lorde God shalbe sene aboue them, and his dartes shal go forth as the lyghteninge. The Lorde God shall blowe the trompet, and shall come forth as a storme oute of the south. ¹⁵ The Lorde of hostes shall defende them, they shall consume and deuoure, & subdue them with slyng stones. They shal dryncke & rage as it were thorow wyne. They shalbe fylled like the basens, & as the hornes of the aulter. ¹⁶ The Lorde their God shall delyuer them in the day, as the flock of his people: for the stones of his Sanctuary shalbe set vp in his land,

³ My wrothfull displeasure is moued at the sheperdes, & I will vpset the goates. For the Lord of hostes wil graciously viset his flocke, the house of Iuda, and hold them as a goodlye fayre horse in the battell. ⁴ Out of Iuda shall come the helmet, the nale, the battelbowe, and all the princes together. ⁵ They shalbe as the giauntes, whiche in the batell tread doune the myre vpon the stretes. They shal fight, for the Lorde shalbe wyth them, so that the horsemen shalbe confounded. ⁶ I will comforth the house of Iuda, and preserue the house of Ioseph. I wil turne them also, for I pitie them: & they shalbe lyke as they were, when I had not cast them of. For I the Lord am their God, and wil hear them.

¹² I will comforte them in the Lord, that they maye walcke in his name, sayeth the Lorde.

³ At the same tyme wil I make Ierusalem, an heauye stone for al people, so that al such as lift it vp shalbe toarne & rente, & all the people of the earth shalbe gathered together against it. ⁴ In that day, sayeth the Lorde, I will make all horses abashed, & those that ryde vpon them to be out of their wittes. I wyll open myne eyes vpon the house of Iuda, & smite all the horses of the people with blindnesse. ⁵ And the princes of Iuda shal say in their hertes. The inhabiters of Ierusalem shal geue me consolacion in the Lord of hostes their God. ⁶ In that tyme will I make the princes of Iuda lyke an hote burninge ouen with wood, & lyke a cresset of fyre among the strawe, so that they shal consume al the people rounde about them, both vpon the right hand and the left. Ierusalem also shalbe inhabited agayne: namely, in the same place, where Ierusalem standeth. ⁷ The Lorde shal preserue the tentes of Iuda like as afore time: so that the glorye of the house of Dauid, & the glory of the citesins of Ierusalem, shalbe but litle regarded, in comparison of the glory of Iuda.

¹ Beholde, the day of the Lorde commeth, that thou shalt be spoyled, & robbed: ² for I will gather together al the heathen, to fighte agaynste Ierusalem, so that the city shalbe woune, the houses spoyled, & the wemen defiled. The half of the city shal go away into captiuite, & the residue of the people shal not be caried out of the cyty. ³ After that shal the lord go forthe to fyght agaynste those heathen, as men vse to fight in the daye of batell. ⁴ Then shall his fete stand vpon the mount olyuete, that lyeth vpon the east syde of Ierusalem. And the mount olyuete shal cleue in two, eastward & westward, so that there shalbe a great valley: & the half mount shal remoue toward the north, & the other toward the south.

² But vnto you that feare my name, shall the Sonne of ryghteousnesse aryse, and healthe shalbe vnder his winges: ye shal go forth, & multipply as the fat calues.

³ This is lyfe eternall that they myghte knowe, the that onely very God, and whome thou haste sente Iesus Christ.

³ Yf oure Gospell be yet hyd, it is hyd among them that are loste, ⁴ in whome the God of thys worlde hath blynded the myndes of them which beleue not, leste the lyght of the gloryous gospell of Christe which is the ymage of God shoulde shyne vnto them. ⁵ For we preache not oure selues, but Christ Iesus to be the Lorde, and oure selues youre seuauntes for Iesus sake. ⁶ For it is God that commaunded the lighte to shyne out of darknes, whiche hath shyned in oure hertes, for to geue the lyghte of the knoweledge of the glorye of God, in the face of Iesus Christe.

⁹ euen hym whose commynge is by the workynge of Sathan, with all liynge power, signes and wonders: ¹⁰ and in all deceyuablenes of vnryghtuousnes, amonge them that peryshe: because they receyued not the loue of the truethe, that they myght haue bene sayed. ¹¹ And therfore God shall sende them stronge delusyon, that they shoulde beleue lyes: ¹² that all they myghte be damned which beleued not the trueth but had pleasure in vnryghtuousnes.

¹ Thou therfor my sonne, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Iesus. ² And what thynges thou hast hearde of me, manye bearyng wytnes, the same delyuer to faythfull men, whiche are apte to teache other. ³ Thou therfore suffer affliccyon as a good souldyer of Iesu Christe.

³² Cal to remembraunce the dayes that are passed in the whyche after ye had receyued lyght ye endured a great fyght in aduersities ³³ partely whyle all men wondred and gased at you for the shame and trybulacyon that was done vnto you, and partly, whyle ye became companyons of them whyche so passed theyr tyme.

³ And herby we are sure that we knowe him, yf we kepe his commaundementes. ⁴ He that sayth I knowe him, and kepeth not his commaundementes, is a liar, and the veritie is not in him.

²⁰ We know, that the sonne of God is come, & hath geuen vs a minde to know him which is true, & we are in him, that is true thorowe his sonne Iesus Christ. This same is verye God, and eternal lyfe.

¹¹ And longe whyte garmentes were geuen vnto euery of them. And it was sayde vnto them that they should reste for a litle season vntyll the number of their felowes and brethren, & of them that should be kylled as they were, were fulfylled.

⁹ After this I behelde, and lo a greate multitude (which no man coulde numbre) of al nacions and people, and tonges, stode before the seate, and before the lambe, clothed wyth longe whyte garmentes, and palmes in their handes, ¹⁰ and cried with a loude voyce, saying: saluacion be ascribed to him that sitteth vpon the seate of our God, and vnto the lamb.

⁷ And there was great battayle in heauen, Michael and his angels fought with the dragon, and the dragon fought and his angells, ⁸ and preuayled not, neyther was theyr place found any more in heauen. ⁹ And the great dragon, that olde serpente called the deuyll and Sathanas was caste out. Whiche deceyueth al the worlde. And he was cast into the earth, and his angelles were cast out also. ¹⁰ And I hearde a loude voyce sayinge: in heauen is nowe made saluacyon, and strength and the kyngdome of our God, and the power of hys Christe. For he is caste doune, whyche accused them before God daye and nyghte. ¹¹ And they ouercame hym by the bloude of the lambe, and by the worde of theyr testimony, and they loued not theyr liues vnto the death.

¹² And he, dyd al that the fyrste beast could do in his presence, and he caused the earth, and them which dwel therin, to worship the fyrst beast, whose deadly wounde was healed. ¹³ And he dyd greate wonders, so that he made fyre come doune from heauen in the syght of men. ¹⁴ And deceiued them that dwelt on the earth by the meanes of those sygnes, which he had power to do in the syght of the beaste, saying to them that dwelt on the earth, that they should make an ymage vnto the beaste, whyche had the wounde of a swearde, and dyd lyue. ¹⁵ And he had power to geue a spyryte vnto the ymage of the beaste, and that the ymage of the beast should speake, and shoulde cause that as manye as would not worshyppe the ymage of the beaste, shoulde be kylled.
