¹⁸ Thou shalt not auenge thy selfe nor bere hate in thy mynde agaynst the chyldren of thy people, but shalt loue thy neyghboure euen as thy selfe I am the Lorde.

⁴ If I haue rewarded euyl vnto them that dealt frendly wyth me, or hurt them that wyth out any cause are myne enemies.

¹⁴ I behaued my selfe as though it had bene my frende or my brother, I went heuely, as one that mourneth for hys mother.

³⁶ But who so offendeth agaynste me, hurteth hys owne soule. All they that hate me, are the louers of death.

¹¹ Delyuer them that go into death, and are led away to be slayne, & be not negligent therin. ¹² If thou wylt saye: I knewe not of it. Thinkest thou that he which made the herts, doth not consider it? & that he which regardeth thy soule, seyth it not? Shall not he recompence euerye man accordynge to his workes?

¹⁷ be nether to vnrightuous also ner to folyshe, lest thou dye before thy tyme.

⁴⁴ But I say vnto you loue your enemies. Blesse theim that cursse you. Do good to them that hate you. Pray for them which doo you wronge and persecute you,

²⁷ But I say vnto you which heare: loue your enemyes. Do good to them which hate you. ²⁸ Blesse them that coursse you. And praye for them which wrongfully trouble you.

³² And lykewyse a Leuite, when he was come nye to the place, went and loked on hym, and passed by. ³³ Then a certayne Samaritayne, as he iournyed, came nye vnto hym, and when he sawe hym, he had compassion on hym, ³⁴ and went to, and bounde vp hys woundes, & poureth in oyle and wyne, and put hym on hys owne beaste, and broughte him to a common ynne, and made prouysion for him. ³⁵ And on the morowe when he departed, he toke oute two pence, and gaue them to the hoste, and sayde vnto hym: Take cure of him, and whatsoeuer thou spendest more, when I come agayne, I wyll recompence the. ³⁶ Whiche nowe of these thre thinkest thou, was neyghboure vnto him that fell into the theues handes? ³⁷ And he sayd: he that shewed mercy on hym. Then sayd Iesus vnto hym: Go, & do thou lykewyse.

⁵¹ And Iesus aunswered and saide: Suffer ye thus farre forth. And he touched his eare and healed him.

³⁴ Then said Iesus: father forgeue them, for they wote not what they do. And they parted his rayment, and cast lottes.

¹⁵ Se that none recompence euyll for euyll vnto any man: but euer folowe that which is good, both among your selues, and to all men.
