¹⁸ When they heard thys, they helde their peace & gloryfyed God, sayinge: then hath God also to the gentyls graunted repentaunce vnto lyfe.

¹⁹ And Aaron sayed vnto Moses: beholde thys daye haue they offred theyr sinne offering & their burntoffering before the Lord, and it is chaunced me after thys maner. If I shold eat of the synne offeryng to day, would the Lord be content wythal. ²⁰ And when Moses hearde that he was content.

³⁰ And when Phinehes the Prieste, and the Lordes of the congregacion and heades ouer the thousandes of Israell whiche were wyth hym, hearde the wordes that the chyldren of Ruben, the chyldren of Gad and the chyldren of Manasses spake, they were well contente.

²¹ Thy people shalbe all godly, and possesse the land for euer: the floure of my plantinge, the worcke of my handes, whereof I wyll reioyce.

³ that I might geue vnto them that mourne in Sion bewtye in the steade of ashes, ioyful oyntment for syghing, pleasaunt rayment for an heauy mynde: That they might be called excellente in ryghteousnesse, a plantinge of the Lord for hym to reioyce in.

¹⁸ Moreouer I hearde Ephraim, that was led awaye captyue, complayne on thys maner: O Lorde, thou haste correcte me, and thy chastening haue I receyued, as an vntamed calfe. Conuerte thou me, and I shalbe conuerted, for thou arte my Lorde God: ¹⁹ Yea as sone as thou turnest me, I shall refourme my self: and when I vnderstande, I shall smyte vpon my thyghe. For verelye I haue committed shamefull thinges: O let my youth beare this reprofe and confusyon. ²⁰ Vpon this complainte, I thoughte thus by my selfe: is not Ephraim my deare sonne? Is he not the chylde, with whom I haue had all myrthe and pastyme? For sence the tyme that I fyrst commened with him, I haue him euer in remembraunce: therfore my verye herte dryueth me vnto hym, gladly and louynglye will I haue mercy vpon him, sayth the Lorde.

²⁶ A new herte also will I geue you, and a new sprete wyll I put into you: As for that stony herte, I wyll take it out of youre body, & geue you a fleshly herte.

¹⁰ Moreouer, vpon the house of Dauid & vpon the cytesins of Ierusalem wil I poure oute the spirite of grace & prayer, so that they shal loke vpon me, whom they haue pearsed: & they shal bewepe him, as men mourne for their onely begotten sonne: yea & be sory for him, as men are sorye for their fyrst childe.

¹⁹ Repent ye therfore and turne, that youre synnes maye be done awaye. When the tyme of refreshing commeth, which we shall haue of the presence of the Lorde,

²⁶ Fyrste vnto you hath God raysed vp his sonne Iesus, and hym he hath sent to blesse you, that euery one of you shuld turne from your wickednes.

³¹ Hym hath God lyfte vp with his ryght hand to be a ruler and a sauiour, for to geue repentaunce to Israell and forgeuenes of synnes?

¹ And the Apostles and the brethren that were thorowout Iewry, harde say that the heathen had also receyued the word of God.

⁴⁷ For so hath the Lorde commaunded vs: I haue made the a lyghte to the gentyls, that thou be the saluacion to the ende of the worlde. ⁴⁸ The gentyls hearde and were glad & glorifyed the worde of the Lorde, and beleued euen as many as were ordeyned vnto eternal lyfe.

²⁷ When they were come & had gathered the congregation together, they rehearsed all that God had done by them, and how he had opened the dore of fayth to the gentyls.

³ And after they were brought on theyr waye by the congregacyon, they passed ouer Phenices and Samaria declarynge the conuersyon of the Gentyls, and they brought great ioye vnto all the brethren.

²¹ wytnessyng both to the Iewes, and also to the Grekes, the repentaunce towarde God and fayth towarde oure Lorde Iesus.

²⁰ And when they hearde it, they glorifyed the Lorde, and sayed vnto hym: thou seest brother, howe manye thousande Iewes there are that beleue, & they are all zelous ouer the lawe.

²¹ And he sayd vnto me: depart, for I wyl sende the a farre hence vnto the gentyls. ²² They gaue audience vnto thys worde, and then lyft vp theyr voyces, and sayde: awaye with suche a felowe from the earthe, it is pytye that he shoulde lyue.

¹⁷ vnto the deliuering the from the people, and from the gentils, vnto whiche nowe I sende the, ¹⁸ to open theyr eyes, that they myght turne from darckenes to lyght, and from the power of Satan vnto God: that they maye receiue forgeuenes of synnes, and inheritaunce amonge them whyche are sanctyfyed by fayth in me. ¹⁹ Wherfore kynge Agrippa I was not disobedient vnto the heauenly vision: ²⁰ but shewed fyrst vnto them of Damasco, and at Hierusalem and through out all the coastes of Iewry, and to the gentyls, that they should repent, & tourne to God, and do the ryght workes of repentaunce.

²⁹ Is he the God of Iewes onely? Is he not also the God of the gentyls? Yes, euen of the gentyls also. ³⁰ For it is God onelye which iustifyeth circumcysyon whiche is of fayth, and vncircumcysyon thorowe fayth.

³⁰ What shall we saye then? We saye that the Gentyles which folowed not ryghteousnes haue ouertaken ryghtuousnes: I meane the ryghtuousnes whiche cometh of faythe.

¹² There is no difference betwene the Iewe, & the gentyll. For one is Lorde of all whiche is ryche vnto all that call on hym. ¹³ For whosoeuer shall call on the name of the Lorde, shalbe safe.

⁹ And let the Gentyles prayse God for hys mercye, as it is written: For thys cause I wyll prayse the amonge the Gentyles, & sing in thy name. ¹⁰ And agayne he sayth: reioyse ye Gentyles with his people. ¹¹ And agayn. Prayse the Lorde all ye gentyles, and laude hym all nacyons. ¹² And in another place Esayas saith: there shalbe the rote of Iesse, and he that shall ryse to reygne ouer the Gentyles: in hym shal the Gentyles truste. ¹³ The God of hope fil you with all ioye, and peace in beleuynge, that ye maye be ryche in hope thorowe the power of the holye ghoste. ¹⁴ I my selfe am full certifyed of you my brethren. that ye your selues are full of goodnes and fylled with all knoweledge, and are able to exhorte one another. ¹⁵ Neuerthelesse brethren I haue some what boldelye wrytten vnto you, as one that putteth you in remembraunce thorowe the grace that is geuen me of God, ¹⁶ that I should be the minister of Iesu Christe amonge the Gentyles, and should minister the glad tydynges of God, that the gentils myghte be an acceptable offerynge, sanctifyed by the holye ghoste.

¹⁸ But we all beholde the glorye of the Lorde with hys face open, and chaunged vnto the same similitude, from glorye to glory, euen of the spirite of the Lorde.

¹⁰ For Godly sorowe causeth repentaunce vnto saluacyon, not to be repented of: when worldlye sorowe causeth death.

²⁴ And they gloryfyed God on my be halfe.

²⁶ For ye are al the sonnes of God, by the fayth whiche is in Christe Iesus. ²⁷ For al ye that are baptysed, haue put on Christ.

¹¹ Wherfore remember that ye, beynge in tyme passed Gentyles in fleshe, and were called vncircumcision to them whiche are called circumcision in the fleshe, whiche circumcision is made by handes: ¹² Remember I saye, that ye were at that tyme without Christe, and were reputed aliantes from the commen welth of Israel, and were straungers from the testamentes of promes, and had no hope and were wythout God in thys worlde. ¹³ But nowe in Christ Iesu, ye whych a whyle ago were farre of are made nygh by the bloud of Christe. ¹⁴ For he is our peace, whiche had made of both one, and hath broken doune the wall that was a stop betwene vs, ¹⁵ and hath also put awaye thorowe hys fleshe the cause of hatred (that is to saye, the lawe of commaundementes contayned in the lawe written) for to make of twayne one newe man in hym selfe, so makinge peace: ¹⁶ and to reconcile both vnto God in one body thorowe his crosse, and slew hatered therby: ¹⁷ and came and preached peace to you, whiche were a farre of, and to them that were nygh. ¹⁸ For thorowe hym we both haue an open waye in, in one spyrite vnto the father.

⁵ Which mysterye in tymes passed was not opened to the sonnes of men, as it is now declared vnto his holye Apostles and Prophetes by the spyrite ⁶ that the Gentyles shoulde be inheritours also, and of the same bodye, and partakers of hys promes that is in Christe, by the meanes of the Gospell, ⁷ wherof I am made a mynyster, by the gyfte of the grace of God geuen vnto me thorowe the workynge of hys power. ⁸ Vnto me the leaste of all sainctes is this grace geuen, that I shoulde preache amonge the Gentyls the vnsearcheable ryches of Christe,

²⁵ the euyll in meakenes, and can informe them that resiste: yf that God at any tyme wyll geue them repentaunce for to know the trueth, ²⁶ that they may come to them selues agayne out of the snare of the deuyll, whiche are nowe taken of hym at hys wyll.

¹⁶ Erre not my deare brethren. ¹⁷ Euery good gyfte, and euerye perfecte gyfte, is from aboue and commeth doune from the father of lyght wyth whome is no varyablenes, neyther is he chaunged vnto darkenes.
