¹¹ And Dauid sayde to Abisai, and to all his seruauntes: beholde, my sonne whyche came out of mine owne bowelles seketh my life. How muche more then may thys sonne of Iemini do it? Suffre hym therfore to curse, for the Lorde hath bidden hym:

⁴ And behold, the worde of the Lord spake vnto Abram, sayinge: He shall not be thyne heyre, but one that shal come out of thyne own body shalbe thine heire.

⁵ And nowe be not greued therwyth, nether let it seme a cruel thynge in your eyes, that ye sold me hyther. For god dyd send me before you to saue lyfe.

² he sayde vnto Nathan the Prophete: Beholde, I dwell in an house of Cedar trees, but the arcke of God dwelleth in the myddes of curtaynes.

¹¹ Thus saith the Lorde: beholde I wyl stere vp euyl against the euen of thyne owne house & wyll take thy wyues before thyne eyes, and geue them vnto thy neyghboure, which shal slepe with them in the syght of the sonne. ¹² And thou dyddeste it secretely, yet wyll I do this thinge before al Israel and in the open sonne lyght.

¹ Then Ahithophel sayd vnto Absalom: let me chose out, I pray the, twelue thousand men. And I will vp and folowe after Dauid by night. ² And I wil come vpon hym whyle he is werye and weake handed, and will feare him, that all the people that are wt hym shal flee. And so wyl I smyte the kinge onlye, ³ and wyl brynge agayne al the people vnto the. And when al these men whyche thou sekest, are turned to the, and al the people shal haue rest. ⁴ And the sayinge pleaseth Absalom well and all the elders of Israel.

³⁷ And as he was in his deuocyon knelynge in the house of Nisroch hys God, Adramelech and Sarasar smote him with the swerde. And they escaped into the lande of Ararat, and Asarhadon hys sonne raygned in his steade.

²¹ And the Lorde sent an angell & destroyed all the men of warre and the Lordes & capitaynes of the hoste of the kyng of Assur, that he turned hys face wyth shame towarde hys owne lande. And when he was come into the house of his God, he was there ouerthrowen wyth the swerde euen by them that issued oute of hys bowelles.

⁵ Wo be also vnto Assur, whiche is a staffe of my wrathe, in whose hande is the roade of my punishement. ⁶ For I shall send him among those ypocrytish people, amonge the people that haue deserued my disfauour shall I send him: that he maye vtterly robbe them, spoyle them, and tread them doune lyke the myre in the strete. ⁷ How be it, his meaninge is not so, neither thincketh his hert of this fasshion. But he ymagineth only, how he may ouerthrowe and destroye muche people,

⁹ And yf that Prophete be deceyued, when he telleth hym a worde: then I the Lorde my selfe haue dysceyued that Prophete, & wyl stretche forth myne hande vpon hym, to rote hym out of my people of Israel,

²⁵ Wherfore I gaue them also commaundementes not good, and lawes thorow the whyche they shoulde not lyue,

²¹ The brother shall betraye the brother to death, and the father the sonne. And the children shall aryse againste their fathers & mothers, and shall put them to death:
