² Ye are oure Epistle wrytten in oure hertes, which is vnderstande and read of, all men,

⁸ Fyrste verelye I thanke my God thorowe Iesus Christe for you all, because your fayth is publyshed throughout all the worlde.

¹⁰ According to the grace of God geuen vnto me, as a wyse buylder haue I layde the foundation. And another buylte theron. But let euery man take hede how he buildeth vpon.

¹ Am I not an Apostle? am I not free? haue I not sene Iesus Christ our Lorde? ² Are not ye my worke in the Lorde? Yf I be not an Apostle vnto other, yet am I vnto you. For the seale of myne Apostleshyppe are ye in the Lord.

³ I speake not thys to condempne you: for I haue shewed you before, that ye are in oure hertes to dye, and lyue wyth you.

¹¹ Wherfore? Because I loue you not? God knoweth.

¹⁵ I wyll very gladly bestowe, and wyll be bestowed for youre soules: thoughe the more I loue you, the lesse I am loued agayne.

⁷ as it becommeth me so to iudge of you al, because I haue you in my herte, and haue you also euerye one companions of grace wyth me, euen in my boundes as I defende and stablishe the Gospel. ⁸ For from you sounded out the worde of the Lord, not in Macedonia & in Achaia onelye: but your fayth also which ye haue vnto God, sprede her selfe abrode in all quarters, so greatlye that it neadeth not vs to speake any thynge at all.
