¹ We begynne to prayse oure selues agayne. Nede we as some other, of Epistles, of recommendacion vnto you? or letters of recommendacyon from you?

²⁷ And when he was disposed to goe into Acaia, the brethren wrote exhortynge the disciples to receyue hym. After he was come thethere, he holpe them muche whych hadde beleued thorowe grace.

¹⁰ According to the grace of God geuen vnto me, as a wyse buylder haue I layde the foundation. And another buylte theron. But let euery man take hede how he buildeth vpon.

¹⁵ For thoughe ye haue ten thousand instructours in Christ: yet haue ye not many fathers. In Christe Iesu, I haue begotten you thorowe the Gospell.

³³ euen as I please al men in al thinges, not sekinge myne owne profite, but the profit of manye, that they myghte be saued.

³ When I am come, whomsoeuer ye shall alowe by youre letters, them will I sende to bringe your liberalitie vnto Ierusalem.

¹⁷ For we are not as many are which choppe & chaunge with the worde of god: but euen out of purenes, and by the power of God, and in the syghte of God, so speake we in Christe.

¹² We prayse not oure selues agayne vnto you, but geue you an occasyon to reioyce of vs that ye maye haue somewhat agaynst them whiche reioyce in the face, and not in the hert,

⁸ and thoughe I shoulde boste my selfe some what more of oure authoritie which the Lord hath geuen vs to edifye, and not to destroye you, it shoulde not be to my shame.

¹² For we can not fynde in oure hertes to make oure selues of the numbre of them, or to compare oure selues to them, whiche laud them selues, neuerthelesse while they measure them selues wyth them selues, and compare them selues with them selues, they vnderstande nought.

¹¹ I am made a fole in bostynge my selfe. Ye haue compelled me: I ought to haue bene commended of you. For in nothynge was I inferyor vnto the chiefe Apostles. Thoughe I be nothynge

¹⁹ Agayne, thynke ye that we excuse oure selues. We speake in Christe in the syght of God. But we do all thynges dearelye beloued for youre edifiynge.
