²² And Hezekiah spake hertely vnto the Leuites that had good vnderstandyng of the Lord. And they dyd eate that feast seuen dayes long and offered peace offerynges and thanked the Lorde God of theyr fathers.

³ And thou shalt come vnto the preast that shalbe in those dayes and saye vnto hym, I knowledge this daie vnto the Lord thy God, that I am come vnto the countre which the Lord sware vnto oure fathers for to geue vs. ⁴ And the preast shall take the maunde out of thyne hande, and sett it doune before the aulter of the Lord thy God. ⁵ And thou shalt answere and saye before the Lord thy God: The Syrians wolde haue destroied my father, and he went doune into Egypte and soiourned there with a fewe folcke and grewe there vnto a nacyon greate, mightie and ful of people. ⁶ And the Egypcians vexed vs and troubled vs, & laded vs with cruel bondage. ⁷ And we cryed vnto the Lorde God of oure fathers, and the Lord heard oure voyce and loked on oure aduersyte, laboure & oppressyon. ⁸ And the Lord brought vs out of Egipt with a myghtye hand & a stretched out arme & wt great terreblenesse and with signes and wonders. ⁹ And he hath brought vs in to thys place and hath geuen vs this land that floweth wyth mylke & honye. ¹⁰ And nowe loo, I haue brought the fyrst frutes of the land whiche the Lorde hath geuen me. And set it before the Lorde thy God, & worshyp before the Lorde thy God ¹¹ & reioyse ouer al the good thynges which the Lord thy God hath geuen vnto the and vnto thyne house, bothe thou the Leuite and the straunger that is amonge you.

¹⁰ They shall teach Iacob thy iudgementes & Israell thy lawes. They shall putte cens before thy nose & whole sacrifices vpon thyne aultare.

³ There wil come many daies in Israel, in whiche there shalbe no true God nor prieste that teacheth, nor any law.

⁹ And they taught in Iuda, and had the boke of the law with them, & went aboute thorowout all the cytyes of Iuda and taught the people.

⁶ And he sete Capitaynes of warre ouer the people and geathered them to geather into the large strete of the gate of the citie & spake ientelye to them, saying.

³ And he sayde to the Leuites that taught thorow out all Israell and were sanctifyed vnto the Lorde: put the holy arcke in the house which Salomon the sonne of Dauid Kynge of Israel dyd builde, ye neade not to beare it vpon youre shoulders. Wherfore now serue the Lorde youre God and his people Israel.

¹⁰ For Esdras prepared his hert to seke the law of the Lord, and to do it, and do teache the precept and iudgement in Israel.

²⁵ But thou Esdras (after the wysedome of the God that is in thy hand) set thou iudgers and arbiters to iudge all the people that is beyonde Iordan, euen all suche as knowe the law of thy God: and them that knowe it not, those se, that ye teache:

¹¹ confesse now therfore vnto the Lorde God of your fathers, and do hys pleasure, and separate youre selues from the people of the lande, and from the straunge wyues.

⁷ And Iesua, Baani, Serabiah, Iamin, Acuba, Sebathai, Hodaiah, Maasiah, Celita, Azariah, Iozabed, Hanan, Phalaiah, and the Leuites, caused the people to geue hede vnto the law, & the people stode in theyr place. ⁸ And they red in the boke of the lawe of God distinctly & planely, so the men vnderstode the thinge that was red.

¹⁸ And euerye daye from the fyrste daye vnto the last, red he in the boke of the lawe of God. And seuen dayes helde they the feaste, & on the eyght daye of the gatherynge together, accordynge vnto the maner.

³ & stode vp in theyr place, & red in the boke of the lawe of the Lord theyr God foure tymes on the day, and they knowleged & worshypped the Lorde theyr God foure tymes on the daye.

⁶ For it is the Lord that geueth wysdome, out of hys mouth commeth knowlege & vnderstandyng. ⁷ He preserueth the welfare of the righteous, & defendeth them that walke innocently:

⁶ Geue eare, for I will speake of great matters, and open my lyppes to tell thinges that be right.

¹ Be of good chere my people, be of good chere (sayeth youre God) ² conforte Ierusalem, and tell her: that her trauayle is at an ende that her offence is pardoned, that she hath receyued of the Lordes hande sufficient correccyon for all her synnes.

¹⁴ Wherfore beholde, I will cal her agayne: bring her into a wildernes, and speake frendly vnto her:

³ This is lyfe eternall that they myghte knowe, the that onely very God, and whome thou haste sente Iesus Christ.

⁶ For it is God that commaunded the lighte to shyne out of darknes, whiche hath shyned in oure hertes, for to geue the lyghte of the knoweledge of the glorye of God, in the face of Iesus Christe.

⁸ Yea I thinke al thinges but losse for that excellent knowledge sake of Christ Iesu my Lord. For whom I haue counted al thinges losse, and do iudge them but dounge, that I myght wynne Christe,

² preache the word, be feruent, be it in season or out of season. Improue, rebuke, exhorte, wyth all long suffering and doctryne.
