⁵ Wherfore ye shal make ymages lyke to your arsses with Emerodes & ymages lyke to your mice that destroyed your lande, & shall geue glorye vnto the god of Israel: that he maye take his hand from of you, and from of youre Goddes, and from of your lande.

⁵ And the Lorde spake vnto Moyses, saye vnto Aaron: stretch forthe thine hande wyth thy rodd ouer the stremes, riuers & pondes. And bryng vp frogges vpon the land of Egypte.

¹⁷ And they dyd so. And Aaron stretched out hys hand wyth his rodd & smot the dust of the earth, & it turned to lyse both in man and beast, so that all the dust of the Lande turned to lyse, thorowout all the land of Egypt.

²⁴ And the Lord dyd euen soo: & there came noysom flyes into the house of Pharao, and into hys seruauntes houses, and into all the land of Egypt: so that the lande was marred with flyes.

¹⁴ and the greshoppers wente vp ouer all the Land of Egypt and lyghted in all quarters of Egypte verye greuouslye: so that before theym were there no suche greshoppers, neither after them shal be. ¹⁵ And they couered all the face of the earth, so that the land was darke therwyth. And they ate all the herbes of the land and all the fruites of the trees whyche the haile had left: so that there was no grene thynge left in the trees & herbes of the felde, thorow all the land of Egypte.

¹² for I wyl go aboute in the lande of Egypte thys same nyght, and wyl smyte al the fyrste borne in the lande of Egypte, both of man & beast, and vpon all the Goddes of Egypte wyl I the Lorde do execution.

⁴ whyle the Egypcyans buryed al their fyrstborne which the Lord had smytten amonge them. And vpon their goddes also the Lorde dyd execucyon.

¹⁹ And Iosua sayde vnto Acan: my sonne, geue glorye to the Lorde God of Israell, & geue hym prayse, & shewe me what thou hast done, and hyde it not from me.

³ And when they of Asdod were vp in the morning, behold, Dagon lay grouelynge vpon the earthe before the arcke of the Lorde. And they toke Dagon & set him in his place agayne. ⁴ And when they were vp erlye the next mornyng, beholde, Dagon laye grouelyng vpon the grounde before the arcke of the Lorde, & hys head & hys two handes cut of vpon the tresholde, that the body onely was lefte on hym.

⁶ But the hand of the Lorde was heuye vpon them of Asdod, & he destroied them, & smote them wt Emerodes, both Asdod & all the coastes there of. ⁷ And when the men of Asdod sawe that it was so, they sayd: the arcke of the God of Israell shall not abyde here wyth vs, for his hand is sore vpon vs, & vpon Dagon our God.

⁹ And they caryed the arcke of the God of Israel about. And when they had caried it about, the hand of the Lord was in the cytye with a myghty great plage, and he smote the men of the cytye both smal & great: and they were smyten in theyr secrete places, with the Emerodes.

¹¹ Then they sent and fette all the Lordes of the Philistines vnto them, and sayde: sende awaye the arcke of the God of Israel, and let it go home agayne vnto hys owne place, that it slee vs not wyth our people. For there was a plage of death thorowout all the cytye, and the hand of God was excedyng sore there,

⁴⁴ As soone as they heare of me, they shall obey me, but the straung chyldren dyssemble with me.

⁴ And because thy hand was so heuy vpon me both daye and nyght, my moysture was lyke the drouth in Sommer. Selah.

¹⁰ Turne thy plages awaye fro me, for I am consumed thorow the feare of thy hande.

³ Saye vnto God: O howe wonderful are thy worckes? thorowe the greatenesse of thy power shall thine enemyes be confounded.

¹ This is the heauy burthen vpon Egipt: Beholde, the Lord wyll ryde vpon a swyft cloude, & come into Egipt. And the Goddes of Egypte shall tremble at hys comminge, and the herte of Egypt shal quake within her.

¹² ascribinge almightynes vnto the Lorde, and magnifying hym amonge the Gentyles.

¹³ but on this condicion, that thou knowe thy greate blasphemy: Namely, that thou haste vnfaithful forsaken the Lorde thy God, and hast made thy selfe partaker of straung goddes vnder all grene trees, but hast had no wil to heare my voyce, sayeth the Lorde.

¹⁶ Honoure the Lorde youre God herein, or he take hys lyght from you, and or euer youre fete stomble in darcknesse at the hylle lest when ye loke for the lyght, he turne it into the shadowe and darcknesse of death.

⁴ Loke what the caterpyller hath lefte, that hath the greshopper eaten vp: what the greshopper lefte, that hath the locuste eaten vp: & what the locuste hath lefte, that hath the blastyng consumed. ⁵ Wake vp ye dronkardes, & wepe: mourne all ye wynesuppers, because of youre swete wyne, for it shall be taken away from your mouth. ⁶ Yea, a myghtye and an innumerable people shal come vp into my lande: these haue teeth lyke the teethe of Lyons, and chaftbones lyke the lyonesses. ⁷ They shal make my vyneyarde waste, they shall pyll of the barckes of my fygge trees, strype them bare, cast them away, & make the braunches whyt.

²⁵ And as for the yeares that the greshopper, locuste, blastynge, & caterpyller (my greate hoste, whiche I sente amonge you) haue eaten vp, I shal restore them to you agayne,

² yf ye wyll not heare it, nor regarde it, to geue the glorye vnto my name, sayeth the lorde of hostes, I wyll sende a curse vpon you, and wyl cursle your blessinges: yea, curse them wil I yf ye do not take hede.

²⁴ Then agayne called they the man that was the blynde, & sayd vnto him: Geue God the prayse we knowe that this man is a synner.

¹³ And the same houre was there a greate earth quake, and the tenth parte of the cytye fell, and in the earth quake were slayne names of men seuen thousande, and the remnaunte were feared, and gaue glorye to GOD of heauen.

⁷ sayinge with a loude voice: Feare God, & geue honoure to him, for the houre of his iudgemente is come, and worshyp hym, that made heauen and earth & the sea, & fountaynes of water.

⁹ And the men raged in great heate, & spake euyl of the name of God which hath power ouer those plages, & they repented not, to geue him glory.
