¹¹ And all that knewe him before when they sawe that he prophesied among the Prophetes, they sayd eche to other: what is happened vnto the sonne of Cis? Is Saule also among the Prophetes?

²⁴ And he stripte of hys clothes and prophesyed before Samuel in like maner, & fell naked all the day & all the night wherfore it is a comen sayinge, is Saul also amonge the prophetes?

⁵⁴ and came into hys owne countrey, and taught them in theyr sinagoges, in so much that they were astonyed and sayde: whence cometh all thys wysdome and power vnto hym? ⁵⁵ Is not thys the carpenters sonne? Is not his mother called Mary? and hys brethren be called Iames and Ioses and Simon and Iudas?

¹⁵ And the Iewes maruayled saiynge: How knoweth he the scriptures, seiyng that he neuer learned?

⁸ The neyghboures and they that had sene him before, how that he was a beggar, sayed: is not thys he that satte & begged. ⁹ Some sayed: this is he. Other saied: he is like hym. But he hym selfe sayd: I am euen he.

⁷ They wondred all & merueyled sayinge among them selues: Behold are not al these which speake of Galile? ⁸ And how heare we euery man his own tounge wherin we were borne?

¹⁰ And they knewe hym that it was he whyche sate and begged at the beutyfull gate of the temple. And they wondred & were sore astonied at that, which had happened vnto hym.

¹³ When they sawe the boldnes of Peter & Iohn and vnderstode that, they were vnlerned men and lay people, they meruailed, and they knew then that they were with Iesu:

²¹ All that heard him, were amased and sayde: is not this he that spoiled them, whiche called on this name in Hierusalem, and came hyther for the intente that he shoulde brynge them bounde vnto the hye priestes?
