² I must walke by the way of all the world, neuerthelater be thou strong and quyte thy self manfully,

¹⁹ And it shalbe wyth him and he shall read therin all dayes of hys life that he may learne to feare the lord his God for to kepe al the wordes of this lawe & these ordinaunces for to do them: ²⁰ that his hert arise not aboue his brethren and that he turne not from the commaundement: either to the right hand or to the left, that both he & his children mai prolong their daies in his kingdom in Israel.

⁶ Plucke vp your hertes and be stronge, dread not, nor be afrayed of them: for the Lord thy God him selfe will go with the, & wil neither let the go nor forsake the. ⁷ And Moses called vnto Iosua and sayed vnto hym in the syghte of all Israell. Be stronge and bold, for thou must go with this people vnto the lande whych the Lord hath sworne vnto theyr fathers to giue them, and thou shalt gyue it them to enherett.

²³ And the Lord gaue Iosua the sonne of Nun a charge & sayed: be bold & strong for thou shalt brynge the children of Israel into the landes which I sware vnto them, & I wylbe wyth the.

⁶ Be strong and bolde: for vnto thys people shalt thou deuyde the land which I sware vnto theyr fathers to geue them. ⁷ Aboue all thynge be strong and harden thy selfe, to obserue & to do, accordynge to all the lawes which Moses my seruaunt commaunded the. ¹⁴ Beholde I walke thys daye, by the waye of all the worlde: call ye to mynde in all your hertes and in all your soules, that nothynge hath fayled of all the good thynges whiche the Lord your God promysed you. All are come to passe, and nothyng hath fayled therof.

¹² quyte the lyke a man, and let vs fyght lustely for oure people, & for the cytyes of our God. And the Lorde do what semyth best in hys eyes.

⁷ And now Lord, my God, it is thou that hast made thy seruaunt kynge in steade of Dauid my father. And I am a young lad & wote not how to order my selfe.

²⁰ And Dauid sayde to Salomon hys sonne: harden thy self, and be strong, and do it, feare not, nor let thyne herte dyscourage the. For the Lorde God my God is wyth the, & shall not leaue the nor forsake the, vntyll thou haste fynyshed all the worcke that must serue for the house of the Lorde.

²² yeth the nombre of my yeares are come, and I must go the waye, from whence I shall not turne agayne.

²³ Sure I am, that thou wilt delyuer me vnto death: where as a lodgynge is prepared for all men lyuinge.

⁴⁸ What man is he that lyueth, and shall not se death? Maye a man deliuer his owne soule from the hande of hell? Selah.

¹³ Let vs heare the conclusion of all thinges Feare God, and kepe his commaundementes, For that toucheth al men:

¹³ Watche ye, stande faste in the fayth, quyte you lyke men and be stronge,

¹⁰ Finally my brethren, be stronge in the Lord and in the power of his myghte.

¹² Let no man despyse thy youthe: but be vnto them that beleue, an ensample, in worde in conuersacyon, in loue, in spyryte, in fayth & in purenes.

¹ Thou therfor my sonne, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Iesus.
