²⁸ But and yf anye man saye vnto you: this is dedicate vnto Idols, eate not of it for his sake that sheweth it, and for hurtyng of conscience (The earth is the Lordes, & al that therin is)

²⁹ And Moyses sayd vnto hym: as sone as I am out of the city, I wyl sprede abrode my handes vnto the Lorde, and the thonder shal cease, neither shal there be any more hayle that thou mayste knowe howe that the earth is the Lordes.

¹⁴ Behold, heauen and the heauen of heauens is the Lordes thy God, & the earth wt al that therin is:

¹ A Psalme of Dauid. The earth is the Lordes, & all that therin is: the compase of the world, & al that dwell therein.

¹⁶ Al the whole heauens are the Lordes, but the earth hath he geuen vnto the chyldren of men.

⁵ I am he that made the earthe, the men, & the catell that are vpon the grounde, with my great power and outstretched arme, & haue geuen it vnto whome it pleased me. ⁶ And nowe wyl I delyuer all these landes into the power of Nabuchodonosor the Kynge of Babylon, my seruaunt. The beastes also of the felde shall I geue hym to do hym seruyce.

³¹ Therfore take no thought saiynge: what shall we eate, or what shall we dryncke, or wherewith shal we be clothed? ³² After all these thynges seke the gentils. For your heauenlye father knoweth that ye haue neade of all these thynges.

¹⁵ Yf thy brother be greued with thy meat, now walkest thou not charytablye. Destroye not him with thy meate, for whome Christ dyed.

⁷ But euery man hath not knowledge. For some suppose that there is an Idole, vntyll this houre, and eate as of a thinge offered vnto the Idole, and so their consciences beynge yet weake are defyled.

¹⁰ For yf some man se the, whiche hast knowledge, syt at meate in the Idoles temple, shall not the conscience of him which is weake, be boldened to eate those thinges, whiche are offered vnto the Idole? ¹¹ And so thorowe thy knowledge shal the weake brother perishe for whom Christ dyed. ¹² When ye synne so againste the brethren, and wound theyr weake consciences, ye synne agaynste Christe. ¹³ Wherfore yf meate hurte my brother, I wyll eate no fleshe, whyle the worlde standeth, because I wyll not hurte my brother.
