¹ And after that, I saw four angels stand on the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the winds should not blow on the earth, neither on the sea, neither on any tree. ² And I saw another angel ascend from the rising of the sun, which had the seal of the living God, and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels to whom power was given to hurt the earth and the sea, ³ saying, "Hurt not the earth neither the sea, neither the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads. ⁴ And I heard the number of them which were sealed, and there were sealed a hundred and forty four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel. ⁵ Of the tribe of Judah were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Benjamin were sealed twelve thousand. ⁹ After this I beheld, and lo a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and people, and tongues, stood before the seat, and before the lamb, clothed with long white garments, and palms in their hands, ¹⁰ and cried with a loud voice, saying, "Salvation be ascribed to him that sitteth upon the seat of our God, and unto the lamb." ¹¹ And all the angels stood in the compass of the seat, and of the elders and of the four beasts, and fell before the seat on their faces, and worshipped God, ¹² saying, amen, "Blessing and glory, wisdom and thanks, and honour, and power and might, be unto our God, for evermore, amen." ¹³ And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, "What are these which are arrayed in long white garments, and whence came they?" ¹⁴ And I said unto him, "Lord, thou knowest." And he said unto me, "These are they which came out of great tribulation and made their garments large, and made them white in the blood of the lamb: ¹⁵ therefore are they in the presence of the seat of God and serve him day and night in his temple, and he that sitteth in the seat will dwell among them. ¹⁶ They shall hunger no more neither thirst, neither shall the sun light on them, neither any heat. ¹⁷ For the lamb which is in the midst of the seat, shall feed them, and shall lead them unto fountains of living water, and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes."

¹⁶ And I will make thy seed as the dust of the earth: so that if a man can number the dust of the earth, then shall thy seed also be numbered.

⁵ And he brought him out at the doors and said, "Look up unto heaven and tell the stars, if thou be able to number them." And said unto him, "Even so shall thy seed be."

⁸ And he said, "Hagar, Sarai's maid, whence comest thou and whither wilt thou go?" And she answered, "I flee from my mistress Sarai."

³⁴ And she conceived yet, and bare a son, and said, "Now this once will my husband keep me company, because I have borne him three sons." And therefore she called his name Levi.

¹⁸ Then said Lea, "God hath given me my reward, because I gave my maiden to my husband." And she called him Issachar.

²³ The sons of Lea: Reuben, Jacob's eldest son, and Simeon, Levi, Judah, Issachar, and Zebulon.

⁵ The brethren Simeon and Levi, wicked instruments are their weapons.

¹⁰ The scepter shall not depart from Judah, nor a ruler from between his legs, until Shiloh come, unto whom the people shall hearken. ¹¹ He shall bind his foal unto the vine, and his ass's colt unto the vine branch, and shall wash his garment in wine and his mantle in the blood of grapes:

² Reuben, Simeon, Levi, Judah, ³ Issachar, Zebulon, Benjamin, ⁴ Dan, Naphtali, Gad and Asher.

¹⁶ These are the names of the children of Levi in their generations: Gershon, Kohath and Merari. And Levi lived a hundred and thirty seven years.

⁴ But the LORD shall make a division between the beasts of the Israelites, and the beasts of the Egyptians: so that there shall nothing die of all that pertaineth to the children of Israel.'" ⁵ And the LORD appointed a time saying, "Tomorrow the LORD shall do this thing in the land." ⁶ And the LORD did the thing on the morrow, and all the cattle of Egypt died: but of the cattle of the children of Israel died not one.

¹³ And the blood shall be unto you a token, upon the houses wherein ye are; for when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt.

²³ For the LORD will go about and smite Egypt. And when he seeth the blood upon the upper door post and on the two side posts, he will pass over the door and will not suffer the destroyer to come into your house to plague you.

⁴⁵ And moreover, I will dwell among the children of Israel and will be their God.

³ and cast for it four rings of gold for the four corners of it: two rings for the one side and two for the other,

⁴⁰ And ye shall take you the first day, the fruits of goodly trees and the branches of palm trees and the boughs of thick trees, and willows of the brook, and shall rejoice before the LORD seven days.

⁴ And with you shall be, of every tribe, a head man in the house of his father. ⁵ "And these are the names of the men that shall stand with you: in Reuben, Elizur the son of Shedeur; ⁶ In Simeon, Shelumiel: the son of Zurishaddai; ⁷ In the tribe of Judah, Nahshon the son of Amminadab; ⁸ In Issachar, Nethanel the son of Zuar; ⁹ In Zebulun, Eliab the son of Helon. ¹⁰ Among the children of Joseph: In Ephraim, Elishama the son of Ammihud; In Manasseh, Gamaliel the son of Pedahzur; ¹¹ In Benjamin, Abidan the son of Gedeoni; ¹² In Dan, Ahiezer the son of Ammishaddai; ¹³ In Asher, Pagiel the son of Ochran; ¹⁴ In Gad, Eliasaph the son of Deuel; ¹⁵ In Naphtali, Ahira the son of Enan."

²² Among the children of Simeon, their generation in their kindreds and houses of their fathers — when every man's name was told, of all the males from twenty years and above, whatsoever was meet for the war -

¹⁴ even the standard of the host of Judah removed first with their armies, whose captain was Nahshon the son of Amminadab. ¹⁵ And over the host of the tribe of the children of Issachar, was Nethanel the son of Zuar. ¹⁶ And over the host of the tribe of the children of Zebulon, was Eliab the son of Helon. ¹⁷ And the habitation was taken down: and the sons of Gershon and Merari went forth bearing the habitation. ¹⁸ Then the standard of the host of Reuben went forth with their armies, whose captain was Elizur the son of Shedeur. ¹⁹ And over the host of the tribe of the children of Simeon, was Shelumiel the son of Zurishaddai. ²⁰ And over the host of the tribe of the children of Gad was Eliasaph the son of Deuel. ²¹ Then the Kohathites went forward and bare the holy things, and the other did set up the habitation against they came. ²² Then the standard of the host of the children of Ephraim went forth with their armies, whose captain was Elishama the son of Ammihud. ²³ And over the host of the tribe of the sons of Manasseh, was Gamaliel the son of Pedahzur. ²⁴ And over the host of the tribe of the sons of Benjamin, was Abidan the son of Gedeoni. ²⁵ And hindmost of all the host came the standard of the host of the children of Dan with their armies: whose captain was, Ahiezer the son of Ammishaddai. ²⁶ And over the host of the tribe of the children of Asher, was Pagiel the son of Ochran. ²⁷ And over the host of the tribe of the children of Naphtali, was Ahira the son of Enan.

⁴ In the tribe of Reuben, Shammua the son of Zaccur. ⁵ In the tribe of Simeon, Shaphat the son of Hori. ⁶ In the tribe of Judah, Caleb the son of Jephunneh. ⁷ In the tribe of Issachar, Igal the son of Joseph. ⁸ In the tribe of Ephraim, Hosea the son of Nun. ⁹ In the tribe of Benjamin, Palti the son of Raphu. ¹⁰ In the tribe of Zebulun, Gaddiel the son of Sodi. ¹¹ In the tribe of Joseph, in the tribe of Manasseh, Gaddi the son of Susi. ¹² In the tribe of Dan, Ammiel the son of Gemalli. ¹³ In the tribe of Asher, Sethur the son of Michael. ¹⁴ In the tribe of Naphtali, Nahbi the son of Vophsi. ¹⁵ In the tribe of Gad, Geuel the son of Machi. ¹⁶ These are the names of the men which Moses sent to spy out the land. ¹⁴ The name of the Israelite which was smitten with the Midianitish woman, was Zimri the son of Salu, a lord of an ancient house among the Simeonites.

¹⁴ These are the kindreds of the Simeonites, in number twenty two thousand and two hundred.

²⁶ For what is any flesh that he should hear the voice of the living God speaking out of the fire as we have done and should yet live:

¹ And the second lot came out unto the tribe of the children of Simeon by their kindreds. And their inheritance fell in the midst of the inheritance of the children of Judah.

¹⁷ And the fourth lot came out to the children of Issachar by their kindreds.

³ Then Judah said unto Simeon his brother, "Come with me into my lot, and let us fight against the Cananites: And I likewise will go with thee into thy lot." And so Simeon went with him.

⁶ Then the wife went and told her husband, saying, "A man of God came unto me, and the fashion of him was like the fashion of an Angel of God, exceeding fearful. But I asked him not whence he was, neither told he me his name.

²⁶ Then spake David to the men that stood by and said, "What shall be done to the man that beateth this Philistine and taketh away the shame from Israel? For what is this uncircumcised Philistine, that he should revile the host of the living God?"

³⁶ For both a Lion and also a Bear hath thy servant slain. And this uncircumcised Philistine shall be as one of them, for his railing on the host of the living God."

¹³ And I will dwell among the children of Israel and will not forsake my people Israel."

⁴ O that the LORD thy God would hear all the words of Rabshakeh whom the king of Assyria his master hath sent to rail on the living God, and to rebuke him with words which the LORD thy God hath heard. Wherefore lift up thy prayer for the remnant that are left."

²⁵ For David said, "The LORD God of Israel hath given rest unto his people, and they shall dwell in Jerusalem forever.

⁸ The Levites were these: Jeshua, Binnui, Kadmiel, Sherebiah, Judah, and Mattaniah, over the office of thanksgiving, they and their brethren:

⁴⁶ for in the time of David and Asaph, were the chief singers founded, and the songs of praise and thanksgiving unto God.

⁸ Desire of me, and I shall give thee the Heathen for thine inheritance; and the uttermost parts of the world for thy possession.

⁸ Salvation belongeth unto the LORD; and thy blessing is upon thy people.

²⁶ The poor shall eat, and be satisfied: they that seek after the LORD shall praise him. Your heart shall live for ever. ²⁷ All the ends of the world shall remember themselves, and be turned unto the LORD: and all the kindreds of the people shall worship before him.

¹ {A Psalm of David} The LORD is my shepherd; I can want nothing. ² He feedeth me in a green pasture, and leadeth me forth beside the waters of comfort.

⁵ Thou preparest a table before me against mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil, and fillest my cup full.

⁹ O save thy people, and give thy blessing unto thine inheritance; feed them, and set them up forever.

⁸ They shall be satisfied with the plenteousness of thy house, and thou shalt give them drink of the river of thy pleasures. ⁹ For with thee is the well of life; and in thy light shall we see light.

³⁹ But the salvation of the righteous cometh of the LORD, who is also their strength in the time of trouble.

¹³ O blessed be the LORD God of Israel, from henceforth and forevermore. Amen. Amen.

² My soul is athirst for God, yea even for the living God; when shall I come to appear before the presence of God?

¹¹ So shall the king have pleasure in thy beauty; for he is thy LORD, and thou shalt worship him.

¹⁴ Offer unto God thanksgiving, and pay thy vows unto the most highest.

¹ {A Psalm of David, when he was in the wilderness of Judah} O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee. My soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh also longeth after thee, in a barren and dry land where no water is.

¹⁶ Why hop ye so, ye high hills? This is God's hill, in the which it pleaseth him to dwell. Yea, the LORD will abide in it forever. ¹⁷ The chariots of God are many thousand times a thousand, the LORD is among them, as in the holy place of Sinai. ¹⁸ Thou art gone up on high; thou hast led captivity captive, and received gifts for men, yea, even for thine enemies, that the LORD God might dwell among them. ¹⁹ Praised be the LORD daily, even the God which helpeth us, and poureth his benefits upon us. Selah. ²⁰ He is our God, even the God of whom cometh salvation; God is the LORD, by whom we escape death.

⁷ In his time shall the righteous flourish, yea, and abundance of peace, so long as the moon endureth. ⁸ His dominion shall be from the one sea to the other, and from the flood unto the world's end. ⁹ They that dwell in the wilderness shall kneel before him, and his enemies shall lick the dust. ¹⁰ The kings of Tarshish and of the isles shall give presents; the kings of Sheba and Seba shall bring gifts. ¹¹ All kings shall fall down before him; all nations shall do him service.

¹⁹ And blessed be the name of his majesty forever; and all the lands be fulfilled with his glory. Amen, Amen.

⁴ Thou art of more honour and might than the hills of the robbers.

² In the time of my trouble I sought the LORD, I held up mine hands to him in the night season, for my soul refused all other comfort.

⁵² Thanks be to the LORD for evermore. Amen, Amen.

² Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving, and show ourself glad in him with psalms.

⁷ Confounded be all they that worship images, and delight in their idols; worship him all ye gods.

³ He hath remembered his mercy and truth toward the house of Israel: so that all the ends of the world see the salvation of our God.

⁴ O go your way into his gates then with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise; be thankful unto him, and speak good of his name.

²⁰ O praise the LORD ye angels of his, ye that excel in strength, ye that fulfill his commandment, and hearken unto the voice of his word. ²¹ O praise the LORD all ye his hosts, ye servants of his that do his pleasure.

⁴⁸ Blessed be the LORD God of Israel from everlasting, and world without end. And let all people say, "Amen, Amen." Praise the everlasting! Hallelujah!

²² — That they would offer unto him the sacrifice of thanksgiving, and tell out his works with gladness!

² The LORD shall send the rod of thy power out of Zion; be thou ruler, even in the midst among thine enemies. ³ In the day of thy power shall thy people offer thee free-will offerings with a holy worship; the dew of thy birth is of the womb of the morning.

¹ Not unto us, O LORD, not unto us, but unto thy name give the praise, for thy loving mercy, and for thy truth's sake.

¹⁷ I will offer to thee the sacrifice of thanksgiving, and will call upon the name of the LORD.

¹ O Praise the LORD all ye Gentiles; laud him all ye people. ² For his merciful kindness is ever more and more toward us, and the truth of the LORD endureth for ever. Praise the everlasting! Hallelujah!

⁶ so that the sun shall not burn thee by day, neither the moon by night.

¹ {A song of the stairs} Behold now, praise the LORD, all ye servants of the LORD, ye that by night stand in the house of the LORD. ² Lift up your hands in the sanctuary, and praise the LORD.

⁶ I stretch forth my hands unto thee; my soul gaspeth unto thee as a thirsty land. Selah.

⁷ O sing unto the LORD with thanksgiving; sing praises upon the harp unto our God,

¹ {Praise the Everlasting} O Praise the LORD of heaven; praise him in the heights. ² Praise him all ye angels of his; praise him, all his host.

⁶ Marvel not at me that I am so black: For why? The sun hath shined upon me. My mother's children had evil will at me, they made me the keeper of the vineyards; but mine own vineyard have I not kept. ⁷ Tell me, O thou whom my soul loveth, where thou feedest the sheep, where thou maketh the rest at the noon day: for why shall I be like him that goeth wrong about the flocks of thy companions? ⁸ If thou know not thyself, O thou fairest among women, then go thy way forth after the footsteps of the sheep, and feed thy goats beside the shepherds' tents.

⁶ O set me as a seal upon thine heart, and as a seal upon thine arm: for love is mighty as the death, and jealousy as the hell. Her coals are of fire, and a very flame of the LORD:

¹⁸ And so though your sins be like to purple, they shall be made as white as snow; and though they be as red as scarlet, they shall be made like white wool.

² It shall come to pass in the last days that the mount of the house of the LORD, shall be set in the top of the mountains, and shall be lifted up above the hills: and all nations shall resort thereto. ³ And much people shall go and say: come, and let us go up to the hill of the LORD and unto the house of the God of Jacob: that he may teach us his ways, and that we may walk in his paths. For out of Zion shall come the law, and the word of God out of Jerusalem.

⁵ Moreover upon all the dwellings of the hill of Zion and upon their whole congregation, shall the LORD provide a cloud and smoke by day, and the shining of a flaming fire by night: for all their glory shall be preserved. ⁶ And Jerusalem shall be a tabernacle for a shadow because of heat in the daytime, and place and refuge where a man may keep him from weather and rain.

¹³ Nevertheless, the tenth part shall remain therein, for it shall convert and be fruitful. And likewise as the Terebinths and Oak trees in winter cast their leaves and yet have their sap in them, so shall the holy seed continue in their substance."

¹² And he shall set up a token among the Gentiles, and gather together the dispersed of Israel; yea, and the outcasts of Judah from the four corners of the world.

³ And ye shall draw water in gladness out of the wells of salvation.

⁴ For thou art the poor man's help, and strength for the needful in his necessity. Thou art a defense against evil weather and a shadow against the heat, when the blast of the raging men is like a storm that casteth down a wall.

⁶ Moreover, the LORD of Hosts shall once prepare a feast for all people upon the hill: A plenteous, costly, pleasant feast, of fat and well-fed beasts, of sweet and most pure things.

⁸ As for death, he shall utterly consume it. The LORD God shall wipe away the tears from all faces, and take away the rebuke of his people through the whole world. For the LORD himself hath said it.

²⁰ So go now my people into thy chamber, and shut the door to thee, and suffer now the twinkling of an eye, till the wrath be overpast. ²¹ For behold, the LORD will go out of his habitation, and visit the wickedness of them that dwell upon earth. The earth also shall disclose her own blood, and shall no more hide those that are slain in her.

³ I the LORD keep it, and water it in due season. I watch day and night, that no man break into it.

⁸ Every man recompenseth with the measure that he receiveth: He museth upon his sore wind, as upon the days of extreme heat.

¹⁹ For thus, O thou people of Zion and ye citizens of Jerusalem, shall ye never be in heaviness; for doubtless he will have mercy upon thee. As soon as he heareth the voice of thy cry, he will help thee.

²⁵ Goodly rivers shall flow out of all his mountains and hills. In the day of the great slaughter when the towers shall fall,

² He shall be unto men, as a defense for the wind, and as a refuge for the tempest, like as a river of water in a thirsty place, and the shadow of a great rock in a dry land.

⁶ Then shall the lame man leap as a hart and the dumb man's tongue shall give thanks. In the wilderness also, there shall wells spring, and floods of water in the desert. ⁷ The dry ground shall turn to rivers, and the thirsty to springs of water. Whereas dragons dwelt afore, there shall grow sweet flowers and green rushes.

¹⁰ And the redeemed of the LORD shall convert, and come to Zion with thanksgiving. Everlasting joy shall they have, pleasure and gladness shall be among them. And as for all sorrow and heaviness, it shall vanish away.

¹¹ He shall feed his flock like a herdsman. He shall gather the lambs together with his arm, and carry them in his bosom, and shall kindly entreat those that bear young.

¹⁷ When the thirsty and poor seek water, and find none, and when their tongue is dry of thirst: I give it them, sayeth the LORD. I, the God of Israel, forsake them not.

¹¹ I, even I, am the only LORD, and without me there is no Saviour.

¹⁵ O how profound art thou O God, thou God and Saviour of Israel?

²¹ Let men draw nigh, let them come hither, and ask counsel one at another, and show forth: "What is he, that told this before?" Or, "Who spake of it, ever since the beginning?" Have not I, the LORD, done it: without whom there is none other God? The true God and Saviour, and there is else none but I.

⁶ "Behold, I have made thee a light, that thou shouldest be salvation, even unto the end of the world. Kings shall see, and rulers shall stand up and shall worship, because of the LORD, which is faithful; and the holy of Israel hath chosen thee. ⁷ Moreover, thus sayeth the LORD the avenger and holy one of Israel, because of the abhorring and despising among the Gentiles, concerning the servant of all them that bear rule: Kings and Princes shall see, and arise and worship, because of the LORD that he is faithful: and because of the holy one of Israel, which hath chosen thee. ⁸ And thus sayeth the LORD: In the time appointed will I be present with thee. And in the hour of health will I help thee, and deliver thee. I will make thee a pledge for the people, so that thou shalt help up the earth again, and challenge again the scattered heritages: ⁹ That thou mayest say to the prisoners, "Go forth," and to them that are in darkness, "Come into the light." That they may feed in the high ways, and get their living in all places. ¹⁰ There shall neither hunger nor thirst, heat nor Sun hurt them. For he that favoureth them shall lead them, and give them drink of the spring wells.

³ For the LORD hath compassion on Zion and hath compassion on all that is decayed therein, and will make her wilderness as paradise, and her desert as the garden of the LORD. Joy and gladness shall be found therein, with thanksgiving and the voice of praise.

¹⁷ but all the weapons that are made against thee, shall not prosper. And as for all tongues that shall resist thee in judgment, thou shalt overcome them, and condemn them. This is the heritage of the LORD's servants, and the righteousness that they shall have of me, sayeth the LORD.

¹ Up and receive light, Jerusalem: for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is up over thee. ² For behold, darkness shall cover the earth, and a thick mist the nations. But the LORD shall rise as the sun over thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee. ³ And the heathen shall walk in thy light, and the kings in the brightness that is risen over thee. ⁴ Lift up thine eyes round about and see. All these are gathered together and are come unto thee. Thy sons shall come from far, and thy daughters shall be ever by thy side. ⁵ Then thou shalt see, and shalt have plenty: thine heart shall wonder and break out in joy, when the multitude of the sea are turned to thee, and the armies of the heathen are come unto thee. ⁶ The abundance of camels shall cover thee, and the dromedaries of Midian and Ephah shall come all of them from Sheba, and bring gold and frankincense, and shall preach the praise of the LORD. ⁷ All the cattle of Cedar shall be gathered unto thee, the rams Nebaioth shall serve thee, to be offered upon mine altar, which I have chosen, and in the house of my glory which I have garnished. ⁸ But what are these that flee here like clouds, and as the doves flying to their windows? ⁹ The isles also shall gather them unto me, and especially the ships of the sea: that they may bring the sons from far, and their silver and their gold with them, unto the name of the LORD thy God, unto the holy one of Israel, that hath glorified thee. ¹⁰ Strangers shall build up thy walls, and their kings shall do thee service. For when I am angry, I smite thee; and when it pleaseth me, I pardon thee. ¹¹ Thy gates shall stand open still both day and night, and never be shut: that the house of the Gentiles may come, and that their kings may be brought unto thee. ¹² or every people and kingdom that serveth not thee, shall perish, and be destroyed with the sword. ¹³ The glory of Lebanon shall come unto thee: The fir trees, Boxes and Cedars together, to garnish the place of my Sanctuary, for I will glorify the place of my feet. ¹⁴ Moreover, those shall come kneeling unto thee that have vexed thee: and all they that despised thee, shall fall down at thy foot. Thou shalt be called the city of the LORD, the holy Zion of Israel.

²⁰ Thy Sun shall never go down, and thy Moon shall not be taken away, for the LORD himself shall be thine everlasting light, and thy sorrowful days shall be rewarded thee.

⁸ Moreover, thus sayeth the LORD: like as when one would gather holy grapes, men say unto him, "Break it not off, for it is holy," even so will I do also for my servants' sakes, that I will not destroy them all.

¹³ Therefore thus sayeth the LORD God: Behold, my servants shall eat, but ye shall have hunger. Behold, my servants shall drink, but ye shall suffer thirst. Behold, my servants shall be merry, but ye shall be confounded.

¹³ For my people hath done two evils: They have forsaken me, the well of the water of life; and digged them pits, yea, vile and broken pits, that hold no water.

¹⁷ Then shall Jerusalem be called the LORD's seat, and all Heathen shall be gathered unto it, for the name of the LORD's sake, which shall be set up at Jerusalem. And from that time forth, they shall follow no more the imagination of their own froward heart.

²³ The hills fall, and all the high pride of the mountains; but the health of Israel standeth only upon God our LORD.

¹⁹ O LORD, my strength, my power, and refuge in time of trouble! The Gentiles shall come unto thee from the ends of the world, and say, "Verily our fathers have cleaved unto lies, their Idols are but vain and unprofitable.

⁹ They departed from hence in heaviness, but with joy will I bring them hither again. I will lead them by the rivers of water in a straight way, where they shall not stumble: For I will be Israel's father, and Ephraim shall be my firstborn.

⁹ And this shall get me a name, and praise and honour, among all people of the earth, which shall hear all the good, that I will show unto them: Yea, they shall be afraid and astonished at all the good deeds and benefits that I will do for them.

³⁶ and upon Elam I will bring the four winds from the four quarters of heaven, and will scatter them against the same four winds. And there shall be no people, but some of Elam shall flee unto them.

³³ These words have I spoken unto you that in me ye might have peace. For in the world shall ye have tribulation: but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world."

³ saying, "Hurt not the earth neither the sea, neither the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads. ⁴ And I heard the number of them which were sealed, and there were sealed a hundred and forty four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel. ⁵ Of the tribe of Judah were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Ruben were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Gad were sealed twelve thousand. ⁶ Of the tribe of Asher were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Naphtali were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Manasseh were sealed twelve thousand. ⁷ Of the tribe of Simeon were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Levi were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Issachar were sealed twelve thousand. ⁸ Of the tribe of Zebulun were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Joseph were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Benjamin were sealed twelve thousand. ⁹ After this I beheld, and lo a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and people, and tongues, stood before the seat, and before the lamb, clothed with long white garments, and palms in their hands,

¹³ And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, "What are these which are arrayed in long white garments, and whence came they?" ¹⁴ And I said unto him, "Lord, thou knowest." And he said unto me, "These are they which came out of great tribulation and made their garments large, and made them white in the blood of the lamb: ¹⁵ therefore are they in the presence of the seat of God and serve him day and night in his temple, and he that sitteth in the seat will dwell among them.

And many men died of the waters because they were made bitter. ¹² And the fourth angel blew, and the third part of the sun was smitten, and the third part of the moon, and the third part of stars: so that the third part of them was darkened. And the day was smitten that the third part of it should not shine, and likewise the night.

⁴ And it was said unto them that they should not hurt the grass of the earth: neither any green thing, neither any tree; but only those men which have not the seal in their foreheads,

⁹ And he said unto me, "See thou do it not, for I am thy fellow servant and the fellow servant of thy brethren the prophets and of them which keep the sayings of this book. But worship God."

¹⁴ Blessed are they that do his commandments, that their power may be in the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.
