³ He hath put a new song in my mouth, even a thanksgiving unto our God. Many men seeing this, shall fear the LORD, and put their trust in him.

³ Sing unto the LORD a new song; sing praises lustily unto him, and with a good courage.

¹ {Of David, when he changed his speech before Abimelech; which drove him away, and he departed} I will always give thanks unto the LORD; his praise shall ever be in my mouth. ² My soul shall make her boast in the LORD: the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad. ³ O praise the LORD with me, and let us magnify his name together. ⁴ I sought the LORD, and he heard me; yea, he delivered me out of all my fear. ⁵ They had an eye unto him, and were lightened; and their faces were not ashamed. ⁶ Lo, the poor crieth, and the LORD heareth him, yea, and saveth him out of all his troubles.

²⁷ Let them be glad and rejoice, that favour my righteous dealing; yea, let them say always, "Blessed be the LORD, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant."

⁶ The righteous also shall see this, and fear, and shall laugh him to scorn.

⁹ And all men that see it shall say, "This hath God done!" For they shall perceive that it is his work. ¹⁰ The righteous shall rejoice in the LORD, and put his trust in him; and all they that are true of heart, shall be glad.

¹ {Of David} Praise the LORD, O my soul, and all that is within me praise his holy name. ² Praise the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits. ³ Who forgiveth all thy sin, and healeth all thine infirmities? ⁴ Who saveth thy life from destruction, and crowneth thee with mercy, and loving-kindness? ⁵ Who satisfieth thy desire with good things, making thee young and lusty as an Eagle?

⁷ Bring my soul out of prison, that I may give thanks unto thy name — which thing if thou wilt grant me, then shall the righteous resort unto my company.

⁹ I will sing a new song unto thee, O God, and sing praises unto thee upon a ten-stringed lute.

¹ So that then thou shalt say, "I will praise thee O LORD, that though thou were angry with me, yet thine anger is turned, and thou hast comforted me. ² Behold, God is my salvation: I will be bold therefore and not fear. For the LORD God is my strength and my praise whereof I sing: and is become my saviour. ³ And ye shall draw water in gladness out of the wells of salvation. ⁴ And ye shall say in that day, 'Give thanks unto the LORD: call on his name: make his deeds known among the heathen: remember that his name is high.'

⁵ But afterward shall the children of Israel convert, and seek the LORD their God, and David their king: and in the latter days they shall worship the LORD, and his loving-kindness.

³¹ He saw before, and spake of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul should not be left in hell: neither his flesh should see corruption. ³² This Jesus hath God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses. ³³ Since now that he by the righthand of God exalted is, and hath received of the father the promise of the holy ghost, he hath shed forth that which ye now see and hear. ³⁴ For David is not ascended into heaven, but he said, ³⁵ 'The Lord said to my Lord sit on my right hand, until I make thy foes, thy footstool.' ³⁶ So therefore let all the house of Israel know for a surety, that God hath made the same Jesus whom ye have crucified, Lord and Christ." ³⁷ When they heard this, they were pricked in their hearts, and said unto Peter, and unto the other apostles, "Ye men and brethren, what shall we do?" ³⁸ Peter said unto them, "Repent, and be baptised every one of of you in the name of Jesus Christ, for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the holy ghost. ³⁹ "For the promise was made unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar, even as many as the Lord God shall call." ⁴⁰ And with many other words bare he witness, and exhorted them saying, "Save yourselves from this untoward generation." ⁴¹ Then they that gladly received his preaching were baptised; And the same day, there were added unto them about a three thousand souls.

⁴ Howbeit, many of them, which heard the words, believed; and the number of the men was about five thousand.

⁹ and they sung a new song saying, "Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof, for thou wast killed, and hast redeemed us by thy blood, out of all kindreds, and tongues, and people, and nations, ¹⁰ and hast made us unto our God, kings and priests and we shall reign on the earth."

³ And they sang as it were a new song, before the seat, and before the four beasts, and the elders and no man could learn that song, but the hundred and forty four thousand which were redeemed from the earth.
