¹² Why doth thine heart make thee so proud? Why standest thou so greatly in thine own conceit? Where unto look thine eyes,

² Froward men are with me, and mine eye must continue in the bitterness of them.

And after it was sold, was not the price in thine own power? How is it that thou hast conceived this thing in thine heart? Thou hast not lied unto men, but unto God."

²² Repent, therefore, of this thy wickedness, and pray God that the thought of thine heart may be forgiven thee.

¹⁴ But every man is tempted, drawn away, and enticed of his own concupiscence. ¹⁵ Then when lust hath conceived, she bringeth forth sin, and sin when it is finished bringeth forth death.
