¹ Vindicate me, O God, and plead my case against an ungodly nation; deliver me from deceitful and unjust men.

Deliver me from my enemies, O my God; protect me from those who rise against me. ² Deliver me from workers of iniquity, and save me from men of bloodshed. ³ See how they lie in wait for me. Fierce men conspire against me for no transgression or sin of my own, O LORD.

⁴ Deliver me, O my God, from the hand of the wicked, from the grasp of the unjust and ruthless.

⁴ Guard me, O LORD, from the hands of the wicked. Keep me safe from men of violence who scheme to make me stumble.

¹¹ May no slanderer be established in the land; may calamity hunt down the man of violence.

² How long, O LORD, must I call for help but You do not hear, or cry out to You, “Violence!” but You do not save? ³ Why do You make me see iniquity? Why do You tolerate wrongdoing? Destruction and violence are before me. Strife is ongoing, and conflict abounds.
