¹ In the eighth month, in the second year of Darius, the word of Jehovah came to Zechariah the son of Berechiah, the son of Iddo, the prophet, saying,

²⁴ Then the work of the house of God which is at Jerusalem ceased and it ceased until the second year of the reign of Darius king of Persia.

¹⁴ And the elders of the Jews built and prospered, through the prophesying of Haggai the prophet and Zechariah the son of Iddo. And they built and finished it according to the commandment of the God of Israel and according to the decree of Cyrus and Darius and Artaxerxes king of Persia.
¹⁵ And this house was finished on the third day of the month Adar, which was in the sixth year of the reign of Darius the king.

¹ In the second year of Darius the king, in the sixth month, in the first day of the month, the word of Jehovah came by Haggai the prophet to Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah and to Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest, saying,

¹⁵ in the twenty-fourth day of the month, in the sixth month, in the second year of Darius the king.

¹⁰ In the twenty-fourth day of the ninth month, in the second year of Darius, the word of Jehovah came by Haggai the prophet, saying,

²⁰ And the word of Jehovah came the second time to Haggai in the twenty-fourth day of the month, saying,

⁷ Upon the twenty-fourth day of the eleventh month, which is the month Shebat, in the second year of Darius, the word of Jehovah came to Zechariah the son of Berechiah, the son of Iddo, the prophet, saying,

¹ And it happened in the fourth year of king Darius, that the word of Jehovah came to Zechariah in the fourth day of the ninth month, even in Chislev.

³⁵ so that upon you may come all the righteous blood shed upon the earth, from the blood of Abel the righteous to the blood of Zechariah son of Barachiah, whom you murdered between the temple and the altar.

⁵¹ from the blood of Abel Yes, I say to you, It will be sought from this generation.
